The first VDH contract on here I believe.
Celebrated closing by adding 2 additional Direct VDH add-on contracts the next day on the Disney Treasure 😬.
Well now I know the reason I couldn't find it in the county recorder's website.
I got the deed from Mason title today and they botched how the deed was titled.

Though it is titled in a trust, the full substantiated trust name lists our full names as co-trustees and they merged our middle and last names together. This was an error originally seen when we received our closing docs and we had Mason title correct it. The closing docs we signed had everything titled correctly but the deed the sellers signed was not corrected.

I'm surprised Disney didn't catch this as the contract loaded into our account with no issues. Our add on contracts which was titled correctly also loaded into that same membership number no issues.

I'm wondering how Mason title will correct this, I'm pushing for a new corrective deed to be filed.

So sorry. It’s very hard to find things on the CA website about is without any errors.

Hopefully they get this all taken care of for you asap.

Looking at this more, it seems that the sellers signed the deed before the final closing docs revisions, in fact they signed it even before we received the buyers closing docs to sign.

We received the closing docs initially on Dec 4. Had a few days of back and forth to correct issues with how things were being titled. Received final closing docs with everything corrected on Dec 8. We signed on Dec 9 and wired closing costs shortly after. However the deed was already signed by the sellers on Dec 3 with all the titling issues of the initial closing docs.

Was the error also with titling issues in the recorded deed? If so, how did Mason resolve it?
They did not have my wife's name on the deed that was recorded. Of course it was correct on everything that we signed. Our issue was pretty straight-forward and I don't mean to suggest that yours is.

I would just contact them and let them work the issue. Make sure you are getting the answers to your questions and keep following up until they happen.
