kids passport photos

Just wanted to post a follow-up....hubby took the four applications into the Kitchener office yesterday. He couldn't have waited long since he was at the counter by 3:30pm (according to the time stamp on the receipt) and he didn't leave Ingersoll until after 2! (he went there instead of London since he works out that way...on the afternoon/night shift) Anyways....I am happy to report that all 4 pictures/applications were accepted...the mail-out date is July 27. I'll post when they get here. (yeah for Wal-mart in Woodstock!)

I also suggest going to a place which guarantees pictures for children. CAA took our pictures but both our kids pics were rejected. The CAA office close to the passport office redid dd's pic but refused to redo ds's as baby pictures always get rejected!??! I took him to Shopper's which may not have the easiest set-up to hold a 10 mth old but staff was quite helpful and did the best they could. I ended up putting a neutral blush on his cheeks as a fair baby does not have much colour and blended into the background. If you have the baby wear a bigger shirt you can cover your hands on the side. The guarantor does not have to sign the new photos if P/O has signed originals. My Mom and Dad went to Hlfx Passport office to apply 06/07/07 and there is only a 2-3 week wait for receiving passports. They had all the paperwork ready and office wait was 1-1.5 hrs on Friday afternoon. It would have been a lot faster to apply online and take in the rest of the paperwork in person.

We just applied for our passports on Tuesday. We went to the Super Centre to get the pic's done. It took 45 min to get DD(17.5 months) pciture. She was crying and fighting so in between takes I was feeding her crackers. Her picture turned out cute with her mouth closed(she was chewing!). They took it at the passport office but said is was a little more to a side then front on, but, he said he marked that it was a child under 2 and it should be okay. I know when we got the pictures done, they told us that if it wouldn't pass, they would re-take for free.
