Christmas outfit

Ow I love that chistmas outfit could you tell me who you got it from? My sister bought the same poncho off of ebay for her dd on our last trip and she got so much attention for it.

For those who depend on RagShop for their fabric and craft needs, I went there today and was told that they expect to close in 9 weeks. However, if store stock is depleted sooner, they will close individual stores sooner. Our local RagShop was a madhouse today. I spent nearly 2 hours getting fabrics cut!

I'm going to try to make patchwork twirly skirts. About how wide do you make your patches? I was thinking about 6" or 7", but I've never made one and wasn't sure if that would work. Thanks!!

Also, anyone know about the pumpkin fabric? I looked back on here and it was already pushed to page 3, so I don't know if anyone saw it!!

That is a great idea! My fabric actually has the triangle pattern to it as well. Maybe I will try to post a picture of it, but need to figure out how to do that first. I have some other outfits I want to show everyone too. Anyone have directions how to post a picture?

I am going to try to send a picture of my son's outfit I started with. It is TMNT with an iron on applique I purchased off ebay. The shirt was purchased for $3. For anyone looking for boy ideas, I am planning to make 5-6 outfits for both my boys for a trip this spring. They will be 6 and 1 (almost 2). I also am making outfits for my DD8. I will try to post those as I get them done.

Fabric Question

I'm planning to make dd6 a cinderella twirly skirt using four different fabrics. I have the blues I want, but wanted to use a pumpkin print to match the shirt she'll be wearing with it. Any tips on where to find any? I've checked ebay, but most of it is halloween stuff and I just want plain pumpkins either on blue or white background. I need a piece 42 x 13.

How cute!! I love this stuff. Are you thinking an overalls outfit? The fabric may need something heavy to support it. A t-shirt may be too light weight. Just my 2 cents. But then, I have never been accused of having much "cents".

Hi, I use McCalls's 5086 for the bodice. I don't use the whole pattern, just the top part. Hope this helps.

This does help I have a bodice pattern just like that one so It will work fine. Thank you so much!

Can someone tell me why type of wire you use. I bought the 26 gauge wire and its to wiry if that makes sense lol. Its very stiff.. Other than that I like it.

What an awesome outfit. My 7yo loves it and now wants it lol. I will have to see if my friend can make something similar. Instead of the tutu I am thinking about a tulle skirt.

Here is something I made today. I had these fabrics lying around and figured I'd better get them sewn into something. I wanted a more "earthy" look for Animal Kingdom. Hope you all like it. This is my first time appliquing a Minnie face.

I love this AK outfit! Also I would love the Ariel outfit you made your DD a while back. I like the Epcot out fit idea. Can't wait to see it when your done making it.
