I really need to get some pics of Zoe to share soon, too. ;-)
On my end it is like the server just does not post anything after a few mins then when it does it is always doube posted.. I thought it was just me
I hadn't sewn anything in a month and it was killing me. I had a few outfits in mind, but needed fabric and I haven't been able to go to the store. So, I just decided to make something with the fabric I already had. So, here's a Belle-ish outfit I just whipped up in a matter of minutes (okay, over the course of 1.5 days). I used the YCMT portrait peasant dress pattern and modified it for a shirt. Then, I made my own pattern for the jumper and apron.

She thought I should add this one, too. This is her favorite "model pose":

Okay, now I need to catch up on the last day and a half.
Don't feel bad, I did that too a time or two when I first started doing applique. I'm very aware now to have the iron on the right setting and don't leave it in place for long when I iron before I'm ready to fuse it to the base fabric/garment. I still find that sometimes it just doesn't want to stick to denim in some areas. I've also noticed that certain fabric I use for the applique is more prone to not sticking than others. I figure as long as it holds long enough to get the stitching is complete, it's done it's job. LOL
So, speaking of applique... here's a little proof that I really was busy when I wasn't posting here for so long. LOL

WOW!!
I'm usually just lurking here, but I do try to keep up with all the posts. Well after being gone for a week, I'm finally caught up. Y'all have posted some great outfits!! I love all the Cinderella variations.
Here's why I've been away... and the reason I have been stocking up on Disney fabric since finding this board... my little princess is a week old today!

WOW! Incredible! I would LOVE to see the Pooh on Zoe!
Just a quick question do I have to have a certain amount of posts before I can post attachments or do I have to ask for permission to? I'm not very clear about that right now.
Thank you! I forgot to mention that the white/blue is Pooh toile! I bought 5 yards of it when it was $2 at Walmarshay (thanks Tom) and Tessa decided she hated it. So, I hadn't used it. But, she loves it as a Belle outfit!Love the fabric combination and what you did with it!
Oh, I am sorry, I truly did not mean to offend anyone. I am talking about kids that, at least from a teacher's standpoint, obviosly NOT taken care of. Not just hair brushing. I was just using that as an example. I was also meaning when they get to school. Goodness knows, my DD6 is a walking dirt magnet. She may go to school looking great, but coming home is another matter! And, of course, I don't know what kind of battles the parent is facing--example kid throwing a fit wanting to pick out their own outfit, and parent choosing to pick their battles. I mean kids that you can tell their parents don't give a care to what the kid is doing or wearing. If they are clean or not. I was just saying, jealousy is a part of life at school, a bad part, yes, but a part. Why should a child be punished if they look nice and wear nice clothes? That is all I meant. I truly did not mean for my opinion to offend anyone. And I do know what they say about opinions.................

Am I forgiven??????
I wasnt offended, but I agreed with camelotcats. I just hope someone doesnt think I dont brush my DDs hair. It might not look like I do, but for about ½ hour, it looks good!
I thought you wer t-beri at first because you have the same avatar. But, you're new!! Do you mean to post a picture? I don't know for sure how many posts you have to have to post pictures, but I'm pretty sure you have enough. If you use photobucket, just upload your picture, then copy and paste the code in the box that says "IMG code" into your reply.
Don't feel bad, "someone" I know took the backing off the Heat and Bond and ironed it to the IRON![]()

Wow, that is SO pretty!! What an original idea- I love it!
Lisa, makes me feel better that even an expert seamstress had a similar problem!!! Your creations are just amazing as always. I would love to CASE them but they are far beyond my very rudimentary skill level!
I know it's awful but none of those outfits was for Zoe. She's become very particular about what I make for her so I stick to much simpler styles. I did make her a cute jean and tee set for Christmas but of course she got mud on it the first time she wore it and before I got photos. I finally got the stains out so need to have her wear them soon and get pics. I also made her a Christmas twirl skirt and appliqued turtleneck but the one time she wore them, I forgot to take pics. I'm bad, I know.
BTW - The Pooh & Friends set is my current favorite. It was a lot of applique but well worth the effort.![]()

Add me to the "married my high school sweetheart" club! (I'm alredy one of the cool kids in the Class of 1987 club). We started dating when we were 16. We've been married for 16 1/2 years and together for 22!
Add me to the "Married my Highschool Sweetheart Club". In HS...1988 grad..., I had the boofy hair and he had the mullet. And it was a gorgeous mullet too! Naturally curly black hair, mustache and dark green eyes to go with. Ooh!
I also married my high school sweetheart. We met when we were 15 years old and have been together ever since (17 1/2 years). I've advertised the story of how we met before, but here it is again: http://www.geocities.com/heaths32/heathermethenry.html
Are you looking to make a dress that looks like Belle or a Belle inspired dress?

Here is an apron that I made for DD. This is for her to wear to Epcot when we go in May.
Hopefully the link will work.
