Kids Disney Boutique / Customs Clothes Part 5

Not open for further replies.
I got a sewing machine for Christmas, but have never sewed before. Well actually I have, but I was a teenager.

I am interested in making twirl skirts for my dd. Also where can I find fabric online? (Disney related). Our Hobby Lobby, Joanne's and Walmart do not have a good selection.

Thanks!

Tell me more about this dinner. Is it just the Step Mother and sisters? Kirsta had a fit last year when we ate at the Castle and the Prince wasn't there with Cinderella.

This dinner is at the Grand Floridian- 1900 Park Fare. It is Cinderella, Stepsisters, the Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother. Sometimes the Prince is there. It is AB FAB. I cannot say enough about this meal. Other than the castle . . . if you have girls . . . it is a cannot miss. The stepsisters never break character and they are just awful!!!! We loved it. I am so looking forward to doing it again!

Woops!!! Let me rephrase that! Megan has never been in the snow! What a cutie!!! This is wonderful snowman snow, I'm suprised Lydia hasn't been bugging me to go outside to build one yet!

I love Scrappy's "gangsta" outfit!!! He sure looks cute in that!!

And, we can just NEVER have to many pictures of Megan!!! Tell her to drive on up to Michigan and she and Lydia can play in the snow!

LOL! She would if I would let her, believe me. I read her what you wrote and she said, "I know that it is cold. That's what they said on Charlie and Lola."

Must Not Show Megan Ever! This is the cutest thing and you just whipped it up for Christmas? Show off!

Gorgeous girls in gorgeous outfits! Love the mickey one! ;)

Oh my, I would have stopped her too! She is just beautiful!

Anyone have font suggestions? I googled and there are some sites that sell letters (MICKEY) but I don't want to pay for them. Surely I could use something printed from word, right? Anyone use anything in particular for letters?

I scrapbook, so I collect fonts so I use just one of the ones I have. If you google "free fonts" you can find some to download that should work. I just print it out in word and trace it on the fabric. HTH!

Cute! Megan was an angel in our church play, too. At first she was disappointed that she didn't get a speaking part but she was the only angel in the play so we played that up big time. Mary is such an important part, I bet she was proud!

I loved the butterscotch pics too!

OK, now for my question. What does everyone use for letters when you applique? I googled and found some letters for applique that you can buy but it seems like a real waste of money. Surely a font in word would work? Just curious what everyone uses. If you use a font, what is it? I'm going to go play around in word and see what I can find.

I just use whatever font I like for what I am doing at the time. I use word usually or sometimes just notepad and make it really big.

Well I managed to upload mine from hubby's camera. Now all I have to wait for are DD21's pictures. Here are a few from the church play and Christmas morning.

Ooops could'nt forget Butterscotch !

I love all the pictures of Sam and Kiley! We have those pj's too, although I went with blue so we didn't wear them christmas morning.

Glad fancy nancy was a hit and looks like DGrS hit the jackpot!

Thanks!

I get most of mine online. Our walmart doesn't always have a great selection and the others are atleast an hour from me!

I showed Megan the pictures and read your comments and she said, "I have seen snow! On tv!" She is sure it is exactly the same thing. Those pictures are breathtaking!

She also informed me that she is ready to drive because she played the driving video game down at the sports bar we go to all the time and it's very easy: there is one petal to go, one petal to stop, the black bar you push up and down (I think she means the gear shift) and just don't run over anyone when you steer. Super simple! Why are all our babies trying to grow up so fast?

Tom, I am going to CASE your sleepover nightgown for our friend in the hospital. Tomorrow I am off to look for flannel in orange, her favorite color. I'll let you know how it goes!

Tampa girls: my mom has found a sewing and quilt expo that is coming to here: http://www.sewingexpo.com/
She is very excited and wants to us to take classes together. I am taking Serging for Rookies and Sewing for Your Little Sweetie. It would be cool to see other DISers there!

I am still sick (yuck). My company left this afternoon so I can get my house back to normal. It seems the longer the grandparents are here, the worse my children act! They were positively bratty by today!

Look what my mom sewed for scrappy! It is a little fleece hooded jacket. Jacob says it looks "gangsta" which I think offended my mother:

Megan as always looks adorable. She looks just like ther AG doll!

I am finally getting this old computer to cooperate :) I have a bunch of pics to share of customs from Halloween until New Years. I will be sparing and only post the best ones.... It may take me forever, but I will start with DD Katie’s Halloween TUTU dress. She insisted on the tiara (from her birthday) and wore the clip on earrings all night. She could not walk 5 steps in her costume without being stopped for Ohh's and Ahh's. That is very difficult for a toddler on a mission :rotfl:

th_Dsc01183.jpg

I also wanted to add I love 2cutekidz's Cinderella outfit. I will have to look for those pillowcases.

I also love the newest JoJo outfit. I may have to work on something JoJo for our upcoming trip. I think all of the bright colors look so great together.

Stunning!

Aimeeg! I didn't quote all yours since I have commented before but your girls are so lucky to have a mom like you!

party: Happy New Yearparty: Best wishes to everyone for a Great 2008!!

Twocutekidz I love your Cinderella Jumper and jeans. It turned out great!

Twob4him, Great Idea to make your applique ahead of time. Ariel is gorgeous.

Okay, I'm back. My "surprise" company left today    Okay, I do love these people (DHs sister, BIL and 2 of their daughters.) I even often enjoy their company, but it was just not a good time and they never even asked us if they could stay. Now I'm thinking about Heather's uninvited dog and I'm thinking this may top that :rotfl: DH's OTHER sister did leave us a message on the answering machine to let us know that their sister and her family would be coming in a couple of days to stay with us. That was it. Okay, had to vent a little. I'm just glad to have my craft room back and now I can sew again and have my own computer back. I have already finished Lily's Valentine's dress. It turned out pretty cute. I'll post pictures when I can get it on her. I did manage to get photos of her wearing the (famous pillowcase) Cinderella jumper I made. She was not very cooperative. I can't tell you how many photos I had to take! And she's still sticking out her tongue in the best one. Dolly is lying next to her.

This turned out great. Your DD is adorable.
Lyddy is still up. Big suprise. Brian and the kids are at his brother's house.

I took a break from videos and looked outside. It was so pretty, I thought I'd take some pictures to share with you guys. The snow is falling so fluffy and pretty tonight! And, it's not too cold out, only 31 degrees.

I was having trouble with the site the other night it was taking FOREVER for the pages to load!!

Teresa- those snow pics are so pretty- I love the cotton looking one!!

Happy New Year ! Cute photo!

I'm not certain of an online source for Disney fabric. Occassionally, you may hit it on Joann.com. The only other place that you can be assured you will find it is eBay.

I am looking for this dress for a 7 month old. Does anyone know where or who could make one? I am trying to get one for my cousin's daughter for the Pirate and Princess Party when they go to Disney next month. Below is a picture.

Thanks,

So that is about it. I am working on Little Einsteins outfits now. I hope you like and I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry I don't have time to shrink and edit...but I just about cried myself looking at all of these beautiful customs ladies. Wow I am in amazement! I am fanning myself so I dont faint! :faint:

OK my kids are screaming Bath Bath.....gotta go and just dream about these beautiful creations and adorable kids!

I finally have my Christmas pics ready to show. It seems like I haven't had more than a minute or two to myself for the last 2 weeks. Maybe this week will slow down some.

I made dd4 a Santa tutu dress. She danced around the house in it for days & wore it to her Day School party.

th_2007_12130004.jpg

Santa came to the library & naturally I forgot about it so the girls weren't wearing any of their cute Christmas clothes, but they did match that day. :)

th_santa2007.jpg

Christmas morning in their new nightgowns.

DD4 with her new box o potato head parts. This was one of my favorite gifts of hers just for the story behind it. When we were in Disney World dh & I snuck off for a night alone & went to Downtown Disney. Mostly because I wanted to get dd the potato head stuff. I tried so hard to cram all the princess pieces in there with a couple of others & knew she'd like. I just couldn't get Ariel to fit no matter what I tried. When I went to check out the cashier asked if I got everything I wanted & I told him I couldn't make Ariel fit, but she'd never know that it was even there so it didn't matter. He looked at the box & said 'It's worth a try'. He got the pieces & stood there for at least 5 minutes trying to fit everything in the box. He finally got it all the fit (ripped off one of the box tabs in the process), put stickers on the top to keep it closed, threw it in a bag & checked me out as quickly as he could so that if the box popped open he wouldn't see it. I told he'd just made a 4 year olds Christmas & he said that was his job.

I love these designs. But I don't understand the directions on her site at "the site that must not be named". It says to request format DST, EXP, JEF, PCS, PES, SEW, VIP, XXX and have software like palatte, magic box or other. How do I find out what program to use? I've been afraid to order from her becuase I might ask for the wrong thing. And what is Palatte or Magic Box. These designs would be so cute on an outfit.
These are adorable! I hope you get a chance to use them.

Wow great pics! I love the outfits! I do lots of matchy stuff too!:thumbsup2

I do video reviews on Expotv, they pay you $10, $5 or $2 per review, depending on what the product is. It's easy to do, and gives us a little extra money for Disney! There are some threads on it on the Dis somewhere, that's where I first heard about it. It's easy to do, so give it a try!
Thanks Teresa...I will have to do some research on it and give it a try. :goodvibes

She loves to swim and now that it is winter I think she is really missing it. The bathtub isnt much of a substitute. (Darn, I wish we had a pool membership!) She loves this pic of Meg and her AGD!
Thanks! :goodvibes

Oh, I love this one! I may have to try an enchanted dress. My DDs loved this movie!

I don't know how to multiquote, so I just have to say I love everyone's designs. I need to go to the fabric store and start on some valentines twirl skirts. My DDs love the twirl skirts.
