We were at a fellow Diser's party tonight- DisneyMom5. She has a hilarious TR- "Hicks on a Holiday 2- Done Brung the Kinfolk". We used to live next door to her and we're still good friends. Here's the link to her TR:
http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1474282

Sarah and Co. are so much fun!!! I hope you had a great time over there. But tell me, who leaves a New Years party at 10!!!?????:confused3 :confused3 :rotfl:

And GEESH!!! You could have at least drove by my house and BEEPED or something!! GOSH!

I'm swamped with work today. :laundy: I can't comment on all the cool stuff that's been posted today. Her expression is priceless, is she trying to model like Cinderella? I looove this outfit! :cutie: Fantastic job!! The light blue is so true to original Cinder, I just adore it! :lovestruc

I've been watching those pillowcases in Wally & think the Tink would be fun.
I've had my eye on the Tink one!! I just need to decide whether or not to go with the one I orginally planned (the one I made for DN) or try something new with the pillowcase. Hmmm...

I showed Megan the pictures and read your comments and she said, "I have seen snow! On tv!" She is sure it is exactly the same thing. Those pictures are breathtaking!

She also informed me that she is ready to drive because she played the driving video game down at the sports bar we go to all the time and it's very easy: there is one petal to go, one petal to stop, the black bar you push up and down (I think she means the gear shift) and just don't run over anyone when you steer. Super simple! Why are all our babies trying to grow up so fast?

Tom, I am going to CASE your sleepover nightgown for our friend in the hospital. Tomorrow I am off to look for flannel in orange, her favorite color. I'll let you know how it goes!

Tampa girls: my mom has found a sewing and quilt expo that is coming to here: http://www.sewingexpo.com/
She is very excited and wants to us to take classes together. I am taking Serging for Rookies and Sewing for Your Little Sweetie. It would be cool to see other DISers there!

I am still sick (yuck). My company left this afternoon so I can get my house back to normal. It seems the longer the grandparents are here, the worse my children act! They were positively bratty by today!

Look what my mom sewed for scrappy! It is a little fleece hooded jacket. Jacob says it looks "gangsta" which I think offended my mother:

100_2162.jpg

100_2160.jpg

And just because:

100_2159.jpg

Woops!!! Let me rephrase that! Megan has never been in the snow! What a cutie!!! This is wonderful snowman snow, I'm suprised Lydia hasn't been bugging me to go outside to build one yet!

I love Scrappy's "gangsta" outfit!!! He sure looks cute in that!!

And, we can just NEVER have to many pictures of Megan!!! Tell her to drive on up to Michigan and she and Lydia can play in the snow!

I have not been keeping up with the thread. Just to busy lately. I do however have some things to share . . .

I just love that Belle dress!

Our Alice was great too, dd was asleep when we got inline to meet her & didn't want to get out of the stroller so Alice some down next to her & talked to her about her cat from the movie. It was too sweet.

She sure is excited to meet Annie & Leo. I love those moments.

I am finally getting this old computer to cooperate :) I have a bunch of pics to share of customs from Halloween until New Years. I will be sparing and only post the best ones.... It may take me forever, but I will start with DD Katie’s Halloween TUTU dress. She insisted on the tiara (from her birthday) and wore the clip on earrings all night. She could not walk 5 steps in her costume without being stopped for Ohh's and Ahh's. That is very difficult for a toddler on a mission :rotfl:

Dsc01183.jpg

I also wanted to add I love 2cutekidz's Cinderella outfit. I will have to look for those pillowcases.

I also love the newest JoJo outfit. I may have to work on something JoJo for our upcoming trip. I think all of the bright colors look so great together.

Anyone have font suggestions? I googled and there are some sites that sell letters (MICKEY) but I don't want to pay for them. Surely I could use something printed from word, right? Anyone use anything in particular for letters?

WOW!!!! Some amazing stuff posted today. If I had any clue how to multi-quote I'd do it! So, instead I'll just say WOWWWWW! LOVE it all. May have to CASE some.

OK, now for my question. What does everyone use for letters when you applique? I googled and found some letters for applique that you can buy but it seems like a real waste of money. Surely a font in word would work? Just curious what everyone uses. If you use a font, what is it? I'm going to go play around in word and see what I can find.

Cute picture!

Of course I would love to CASE you, Your daughter looks ADORABLE in this outfit! Hmmmm.... ruffles, ruffles, ruffles. One of my daughter's favorite things!

Although, after having a sleep over with her friend, and watching HSM 2, they have decided that they want to be teenagers. She told me she already has "skills" to be a teen. I told her I don't think so! Go back to watching Dora, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

That is too funny!

Your dd is absolutely adorable, I love seeing pics of her! Did you make the hairbows too?

Thanks, I did. They didn't turn out the best. It was impossible to find ribbon in that color of blue! But for one outfit, they'll do!

I finally have my Christmas pics ready to show. It seems like I haven't had more than a minute or two to myself for the last 2 weeks. Maybe this week will slow down some.

I made dd4 a Santa tutu dress. She danced around the house in it for days & wore it to her Day School party.

th_2007_12130004.jpg
DD4 with her new box o potato head parts. This was one of my favorite gifts of hers just for the story behind it. When we were in Disney World dh & I snuck off for a night alone & went to Downtown Disney. Mostly because I wanted to get dd the potato head stuff. I tried so hard to cram all the princess pieces in there with a couple of others & knew she'd like. I just couldn't get Ariel to fit no matter what I tried. When I went to check out the cashier asked if I got everything I wanted & I told him I couldn't make Ariel fit, but she'd never know that it was even there so it didn't matter. He looked at the box & said 'It's worth a try'. He got the pieces & stood there for at least 5 minutes trying to fit everything in the box. He finally got it all the fit (ripped off one of the box tabs in the process), put stickers on the top to keep it closed, threw it in a bag & checked me out as quickly as he could so that if the box popped open he wouldn't see it. I told he'd just made a 4 year olds Christmas & he said that was his job.
th_2007_01060009.jpg

Great pictures. DD looks so pretty in her tutu dress! And I love your CM story, can't wait to get there and buy me (I mean the kids) some potato head parts! I have that Hello Kitty fabric too, only I thoughtlessly only bought 1 yard, so it may end up dolly nightgowns!

This sounds just like my DD9! She thinks she is a teen already! I am thinking if she is like this right now, what kind of attitude will be coming when she really is a teen? :lmao: She is a MAJOR drama queen!!!

You are SOOOOO talking about my DD10! I could've written that myself!

I have not been keeping up with the thread. Just to busy lately. I do however have some things to share . . .

Wow Aimee! That's all I can say! Thanks for checking in with us to show us all the things you've been making. You always give me great ideas. And dancing with the beast? I'm teary myself! I remember that Belle dress is one of the first things I saw on this board--:scared1: yes, I was a little intimidated :rotfl:

Nana, do you like doing applique on the machine like that? I have always preferred to just do it by hand but always up for giving something a try.

I do appliques with the regular sewing machine and also using my embroidery machine I can't really say which I like better because it depends on what I am trying to do, how much detail is needed, If I go with an embroidery machine design it depends on the skill of the digitizer and if I "like" their work. I do know digitizers who will digitize my artwork for me. Learning to Digitize is my next big goal I am only at the very beginning on doing that. Learning that skill is very time consuming. Alikat99's DH is looking into doing it. Hey, maybe i won't have to learn...he is the family!!!   Nana

Loved all your photos!

Aimee, I was just thinking about you today wondering how your Christmas trip was, and I log back on to see that you posted!

All of your things great! I am sure the kids got lots of attention, and you too!

All of these Cindy dresses posted today! You all know that I NOW have to make one for Leigh! She won't let me get anything done. She keeps dancing around singing "Make me a Cinderella dress, make me a Cinderella dress. Just like the ones on Daddy's computer!" Over and over! :scared1:

We will have to make a trip out to Walmarshay to get the pillow case now!

Well I managed to upload mine from hubby's camera. Now all I have to wait for are DD21's pictures. Here are a few from the church play and Christmas morning.

Thanks everyone!!! We had a wonderful trip. It has just been a busy fall. We leave for the big planned surprise trip in 60 days!!! I have so much to do but it will be fun.

Using the pillowcase is a great idea. I did my Cinderella applique piece by piece. That would have saved a lot of time! Oh well!!!!

My DD is all about the stepsisters right now. She is moving away from the Belle phase and into a Cinderella period. LOL I think that has something to do with Cinderella II Dreams come true.

I will try and keep posting my progress for our *real* trip. December was just a really great bonus. I hope we can go back in December. I would love to bring my Mom along. I will just have to convince DH that it is a good idea!

Jahm- I think your daughter has the world cutest piggy tails! I giggle whenever i see them!

Oh and by the way . . . Who did the Marie from the Aristocrats outfit on the photobucket link???? I really like it. :)

This was my reference picture for DD's Drizella custom. The stepsiters are just too funny!!!!!

DisneyDay1066-1.jpg

Tell me more about this dinner. Is it just the Step Mother and sisters? Kirsta had a fit last year when we ate at the Castle and the Prince wasn't there with Cinderella.
