Steph, hope you get better  soon! When you do I have a request...my DD2 almost 3 (Her birthday is this weekend) would like to see a pic of Megan swimming in your pool. She loves to swim and now that it is winter I think she is really missing it. The bathtub isnt much of a substitute. (Darn, I wish we had a pool membership!) She loves this pic of Meg and her AGD!
Thanks! :goodvibes

Well Cathy, we don't swim in the winter. The pool doesn't get much sun so it costs a lot to heat it so we turn it off when the weather gets cooler. We have a small spa (or bath tub, as my husband calls it when I happen to be gone for the evening) so we do play in that all winter long. Here is one from this fall:

Happy birthday to your big girl! :cheer2:

OK one last post and them I am going to bed....I was browsing :wizard: looking for one of those umpteen layers of tulle ruffle petticoats. None to be found. Does anyone have some? I am thinking I need two white ones to go under dresses that are somewhat full for DD3.99 and DD4. But the netting would have to be pretty soft. Actually its probably not made of tulle but that other stuff I can't think of right now. Hmmmm, Nana is it you who has them?? :confused3 Anyways...thanks! :goodvibes

For whatever reason the server won't let me reply to anything unless I am quoting something...who knows? Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! I haven't been on in soooooo long! I'll never get caught up and I'm not sure I'm even going to try! I went back about 10-15 pages tonight and everything was wonderful as always! I've tried to get on lately but I haven't felt well but I think it's now all past me, hopefully! Now I'm just tired and fall asleep at the drop of a hat but that is better than losing breakfast, lunch and dinner everytime I turn around! Hopefully now I can be a faithful disboutique contributor again!

Everyone go watch Teresa's review of I think it was a Quality Inn, it is too funny!

That is one of my all-time favs!!!

Gorgeous!

Anyone have font suggestions? I googled and there are some sites that sell letters (MICKEY) but I don't want to pay for them. Surely I could use something printed from word, right? Anyone use anything in particular for letters?

Try mickeyavenue.com I think that's where I got mine.

Oh and by the way . . . Who did the Marie from the Aristocrats outfit on the photobucket link???? I really like it. :)

glorib did that one, isn't it adorable!?!

Hi all! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday week. It feels like forever since I've been able to check in. Things got crazy for a couple weeks and I had no time to even keep up with posts much less add my own. I know I've probably missed lots of cute things but I'm pretty much caught up on stuff at home and will try to stay caught up here. :goodvibes

I think you may be referring to the things called pettiskirts. There are several brands but the one best known is Kaita Eve. They're not cheap - I think starting around $65. Also, many places seem to have a long turn around time when they're custom ordered - 6-8 weeks. They're made from a knit nylon chiffon that is very soft.

I think, though, that Lisa (Ireland's mom) found some petticoats at a costume shop that were almost as full as the pettiskirts although I'm not sure what fabric was used for them. That might be a place to start. You could also check for square dance supply places to see if they have what you need.

Hi everyone. I have'nt posted regularly in a long while, but I do keep up with the thread daily. It looks like everyone had a lovely Christmas and all the holiday customs were just gorgeous. I only have 3 to post righ now but as soon as I get them scanned and others uploaded to photobucket I will post them.:)

Yes that last one does look vaguely familiar doesn't it?? ;)
DD finally got to wear her Belle dress with Belle. She even danced with the Beast. I cried like a baby!

This was the night before at the BBB.

Here is the baby's Cinderella custom. It was so hot she did not wear it over jeans so her dress was a little short.

That belle with belle & beast is my fav- What a great job you did on all of those- Looks like you had a wonderful time AND you get to go back again soon!!! Awesome    Oh and glad to see you are back!!
I am looking for this dress for a 7 month old. Does anyone know where or who could make one? I am trying to get one for my cousin's daughter for the Pirate and Princess Party when they go to Disney next month. Below is a picture.

Thanks,
Crissi

That is the same picture I used to make my belle halloween/mnsshp costume. I really couldn't find what I was looking for so I kinda pieced it together with different things- a white blouse pattern (changed the collar), a jumper pattern (changed the neckline) and made a basic apron. I also made a sort of crinoline to poof it out a bit. If you have any more questions you can pm me. Here is a picture:

Lisa- Glad you're back too!!

That is so cute!

I love the jumping picture!! That is FANTASTIC!!! It's nice to se you around these parts again!

I am finally getting this old computer to cooperate :) I have a bunch of pics to share of customs from Halloween until New Years. I will be sparing and only post the best ones.... It may take me forever, but I will start with DD Katie’s Halloween TUTU dress. She insisted on the tiara (from her birthday) and wore the clip on earrings all night. She could not walk 5 steps in her costume without being stopped for Ohh's and Ahh's. That is very difficult for a toddler on a mission :rotfl:

th_Dsc01183.jpg

She is just TOOOOO cute!!!
Well I managed to upload mine from hubby's camera. Now all I have to wait for are DD21's pictures. Here are a few from the church play and Christmas morning.
Anymore for me under here ???

Ooops could'nt forget Butterscotch !
I love the under the tree one!!! And, I love Butterscotch!!! Thanks for sharing!

I got a sewing machine for Christmas, but have never sewed before. Well actually I have, but I was a teenager.

I am interested in making twirl skirts for my dd. Also where can I find fabric online? (Disney related). Our Hobby Lobby, Joanne's and Walmart do not have a good selection.

Thanks!
Congratulations on the new machine! What kind did you get?

LOL! She would if I would let her, believe me. I read her what you wrote and she said, "I know that it is cold. That's what they said on Charlie and Lola."

Charlie and Lola are so smart! Yes, it is cold. Actually, it wasn't too cold today. This morning it said on the news that we had 12" off snowfall, and it's been snowing all day! It's really getting deep out there! It's over the tops of my boots now.

Beautiful snow pics! Thanks for sharing. It's just starting to snow here. We're supposed to get around 4 inches. Hmmm.....maybe I'll have to break out the camera.
Thank you! Please share some pictures too!

I did a little Applique work today.
Shirt for DD tomorrow is her birthday! I can't believe she will be 7.

Good to hear that you are starting to get past the morning sickness! It's nice to see you again! I was wondering how you were.

Do any of you know if the Walmart's in Orlando still have fabric departments? They've remodeled all of them around here and removed the fabric :sad2:

If you've been recently what kind of Disney type fabrics do they have? Or has anyone noticed if they carry the Disney sewing/embroidery machine. I'm not positive yet how I'll get that home, but I really want one of those and was hoping the local Walmart's would discount them once they started the remodel but alas, someone beat me to them. I was so depressed.

Thanks for any information you can give me!

Hi, Crissi!
PM me if you decide to have it made. I have done many costumes from a picture for my DGDs. Mulan, Ariel's "Kiss the Girl" Dress, Areil's Pink/Rose Dinner Dress, Cinderella's Pink Dress etc. I would be more than happy to help you out. Nana

It's so good to see you post, Lisa! I was getting worried about you! Hope things have settled down a bit for you.

To my knowledge the Walmarts here in Orlando still have fabric departments. The possible exception might be the new one they just built by Sand lake Hospital (Sea World area). But that doesn't mean they will have Disney fabric. I live in Fl and bought a lot of Disney fabric last summer at Walmart in Michigan LOL. I have been in the Walmart near WDW (535) and don't remember even seeing any Disney Fabric. They did have tons of tee and keychain and stuff with Mickey on though. :confused3 I have not noticed any that were remodeling/discounts. Krispy mentioned the other day she went to a Joanns in Orlando that was closing, but I am not sure which one it is.

Heather and Deann I had no idea that you were on expo! I'll add you as friends to mine and DH's. I always watch out of both to get everyone extra pennies! I'll add Corey too!

Mine is jessica52877, same as here and DH's is linlee_54 , but he is not too exciting. Dallas is in his alot, always wanting to get in on the action.

Dallas will sit and play expo all the time. I have countless videos of him reviewing different products!

Everyone go watch Teresa's review of I think it was a Quality Inn, it is too funny!

I thought I was the only one doing reviews on NYE. I sat up until midnight getting my 75th in for the month!

Do you guys do Shared Review too? I slack on tht site though, it isn't as fun. And running out of things to do for expo. Like Heather said, it just isn't worth it for $2 really.

I love watching your videos and seeing Dallas in "action"! Dallas is even cuter in motion, if that's possible! It seems like we have the same opinions on car seats!! I didn't get in 75 reviews last month, only 22. But, I was up on New Year's Eve uploading stuff too! I am going to check out Shared Review, thanks!

Thanks Teresa! Now wait a minute....whats this about making $120??? Somehow I missed it. The boards have been so spotty lately. I just went to the Disney website and typed in requirements for my perfect Disney vacation....it came to $7000  So I am in need of mulahhhhh! :rolleyes1

I've made almost $1500 on there in the last few months! I could have made more if I was more ambitious (and didn't feel compelled to spend hours on here almost every day). You have to check it out!

I love that tutu dress- adorable! What a great CM to help you shove stuff in that box! I love the Hello Kitty jammies and your girls are so adorable!!

I just signed up on the Sharedreviews site. Heather and I use to do Judy's Book too, back when they use to give you stuff!

I use to go to the Budget Boards ALL the time, it was my main board here, BEFORE I found this thread! I still peek in every now and then.
I'm going to try out that site, too! Yup, Judy's Book used to be pretty good, until they tried to turn into a "deals" site.

Look what my mom sewed for scrappy! It is a little fleece hooded jacket. Jacob says it looks "gangsta" which I think offended my mother:

th_100_2160.jpg
I love "gangsta Scrappy"! :rotfl2: Too funny! I think he needs some bling- wanna borrow my necklace?

Sarah and Co. are so much fun!!! I hope you had a great time over there. But tell me, who leaves a New Years party at 10!!!?????:confused3 :confused3 :rotfl:

And GEESH!!! You could have at least drove by my house and BEEPED or something!! GOSH!
People with a crabby 18 month old leave the party at 10:00! Sarah said that last year 1 couple stayed until midnight and she and DH were just about falling asleep. Sorry I didn't go by your house!

Aimeeg- You haven't been around much, so don't know if you'll see this. But, I LOVE all the outfits! You always have such great ideas! The pics from Disney are so precious!

Great outfits and such beautiful girls!!!

I just love that little Katie!! She's so adorable!

Hi everyone, remember me?!
Just wanted to pop in and say Happy New Year! I miss all of you.

I am nearly ready to come back. Dh and I have definitely decided no more kids and are planning on a Dec WDW trip. Would like to do some Christmas customs for my little guy. Will he be too old, do you think? He will be just over 3.
Anyone have any luck making appliques and stitching them on later?

He has also just discovered a new love, Thomas and friends, you know that train show? I may have to check and see if anyone has made any of those.

Wanted to post a Valentine's set I did for my DD. Not a lot of ruffles and bows here - she'll wear this to preschool, so I was going for comfy!

WOW!!!! Some amazing stuff posted today. If I had any clue how to multi-quote I'd do it! So, instead I'll just say WOWWWWW! LOVE it all. May have to CASE some.
To multi-quote, click on the little + sign at the bottom of each post you want to multi-quote. When you're done clicking all the things you want to comment on, click on "reply" and they should be right there.
I missed this picture! You guys are so cute!!

We will have to make a trip out to Walmarshay to get the pillow case now!
Walmarshay-that store sounds a little hoity toity for me! :rotfl2:

Great pictures!!! Butterscotch!!!

I hadn't sewn anything since I was a teenager, before I found this thread back in July (I think it was July). It's great for inspiration! If you haven't checked out the bookmarks in my siggy (and teresajoy's siggy), look around on there. There are a few links to different websites to buy fabric from and lots of tutorials on twirl skirts.

This dinner is at the Grand Floridian- 1900 Park Fare. It is Cinderella, Stepsisters, the Stepmother and the Fairy Godmother. Sometimes the Prince is there. It is AB FAB. I cannot say enough about this meal. Other than the castle . . . if you have girls . . . it is a cannot miss. The stepsisters never break character and they are just awful!!!! We loved it. I am so looking forward to doing it again!
Teresa just made reservations for our party of 15 last week! I'm so excited!! We're going to go to BBB first and then 1900 Park Fare.

I can't believe how busy this thread has been today!
I know! I miss one day and there's so many pages! It hasn't been this busy in a while.

Your appliques look great! Isn't it amazing how fast kids grow up? I can't believe Tessa will be 5 in March! Great job on everything!

Glad to have you back! My advice to you is not to try to catch up if it's too overwhelming! I tried to catch up after my Arizona trip, but I gave up! This stinkin' server is a major pain in the butt! I couldn't do anything on here the other day.

Was Hannah scared at all to dance with the Beast? I think I would be!
Charlie and Lola are so smart! Yes, it is cold. Actually, it wasn't too cold today. This morning it said on the news that we had 12" off snowfall, and it's been snowing all day! It's really getting deep out there! It's over the tops of my boots now.
I was thinking the same thing about dancing with Beast- :scared1:

I don't remember the last time we had this much snow! Sawyer played outside in the snow for the first time yesterday- for about 2 minutes. His gloves kept falling off, so we had to come in. I'm going to post pictures eventually!

I am :rotfl2: Yes, your heart necklace would be perfection! (Don't tell Tessa)
:rotfl2: I had to tuck it into my shirt when I went out the other day because I was afraid it would hurt somebody!

Of course we remember you!! I don't think your DS is too old, as long as you try not to "overdo" it! I don't remember if I've seen any Thomas outfits, but if there were, they'll be in photobucket!
