I like the photo, but Santa is doing some weird Winky thing...weird..:confused3

Hello :yay: ... we are back from Playhouse Disney Live. It was a cute show and the girls really enjoyed it. Here are some pics of their outfits and some from the show! :goodvibes

And there you go! :santa: Brrrrrrrrrrrrr, tonight we were going to go to a parade but I couldnt face standing in the cold (35 degrees out here) for three hours. I'd much rather be Dis'ing :disrocks:

Hoooray got tickets for DD8 for Hannah Montana concert in DC in a second chance sale ! Miley World sent out a letter about it with a code and the address  :woohoo:. I was in shock when I actually got them LOL. They will be a gift from Santa :santa: . Now I just have to find something for her to wear. I am so happy and so excited for her. When I tried last time to get them for her and could'nt she was so great about it and said "It's ok Mommy I can go another time, I know you tried." So Santa is going to make her dream come true :cloud9: .

Woohooo! We had a blast at the concert - you will too! Here is the outfit I made for DD to wear to the concert.

WOW Tom that looks great. I love how you have all of your fabric color coordinated! That is how I have my closet, I really like it! Maybe I will clean the rubber stamps out of my cabinet and put my fabric in there. I don't have time for that hobby any more now that I have found this thread. :rotfl: Thanks for the idea! Good work.

LOL - sounds like me and my scrapbooking! I am wanting to sit down and do a page - but with all this material calling my name I never get there!

I just wanted to say that I miss you all and I'm thinking of you everytime I see a custom outfit. I have stopped a couple people with kids in customs (good thing I'm not shy) but I haven't found TNMom yet but I'm not giving up just yet! I'll probably find her at MVMCP.

I've been keeping up when we're back in the room because I don't want to keep up when we get home.

I thought I posted yesterday but I can't find it, I did stop one mom who reads the disboards but didn't know about us. She made her two DDs customs so hopefully she'll stop over when she gets home.
I love live reports! We are going next year and I am so looking forward to MVMCP. Tell us how it is! :woohoo:

All of this fabric was crammed into about 15 different Rubbermaid containers!

Now it is all neatly folded and organized, at least in my mind!

I won't have to juggle falling over containers, and now I have lots more room to work!

I used some of the containers to store all the trims, ribbons, and buttons that we have accumulated.
Wow you have lots of stuff but it looks very organized now! Great job! During the summer there were several shots of "getting organized" in the sewing room. I bet you the pics are in our storage here. Check it out!

Thanks! Eeek - How did DD do having her tooth pulled?
Actually she was very brave and didnt mind at all. They numbed her first of course and had to keep guaze on it for a few hours. By the next day she was fine....no pain or complaints. Not me...I hate having to go to the dentist! :guilty:

Absolutely adorable picture (despite Santa's wink)....he looks harmless enough. :santa: I love the outfits.....we all bought the same fabric. I'm still working on mine however...:sad2:

Better late than never...here are a couple of outfits that I made for my DD and my DN for Thanksgiving. They both loved them and loved that they got to match with each other. They are very close to each other (18mos difference), probably because my sister and I have a relationship like Teresa and Heather do, so they hang out all the time. We always joke that our kids act and argue more like brothers and sisters than cousins!:rotfl: My sis and I were both very sad that our 3rd kids were both boys and that our girls won't get to have a relationship with a sister like we did. So we both think that it is great that they are so close!!!

Pics are done uploading so here we go...

Here is her twirl!

th_GmaBlondellBirthday305.jpg
Awwww I love the dresses and the girls are so cute together. Thats great that they have each other!!!!!!

My mom had a 50 year old Singer too and when she went to update it all the ladies in the quilt shop told her not to get a Singer. Now I guess they are very junky. I'm sorry yours quit on you. I don't think it would be worth it get it fixed. If I remember, the Brother got good reviews and seems like a good investment. I know, now you seem stuck between and rock and a hard place.

I love the matching girl outfits! I wish Megan had a cousin close to her age who lived near us. The dresses looks great and that is some twirl!

Here is what I did this afternoon. The hardest part was sewing on the buttons. I have some sort of button problem and have the worst time sewing them on. It didn't help that it is 85 degrees here and the needle was slipping out of my sweaty fingers! Oh well, Megan liked it. One more to go for Jacob!

th_100_2007.jpg

Awww what a cute tree! Go ahead and rub it in that its 85 degrees there :snooty: :rotfl2: So when does it cool down enough to wear that sweatshirt????? :confused3

I have been sick the past two weeks and not done a thing! I am so behind on reading but scanned most of the pictures! I love the new outfits!

I also started reorganizing my sewing stuff, switched rooms and got new bookshelves and a dresser, but I haven't done anything with it! That was the week before we went to disney in September!

Hi all! Great work everyone has done with the Christmas customs. I haven't decided if I'll do them or not since we'll be at WDW for 7 days during December, they wouldn't get to wear them much.

We went to see HSM on ice today. The girls wore their customs that they will also wear to MGM.

And thanks to all of your advice I was able to get a ticket for my other daughter to see Hannah Montana:woohoo: . I will be taking 5 girls to see HM on Mon night. This should be interesting.

Okay, don't know what to do. My sewing machine is about 10 years old. At the time I bought it, it was the cheapest Singer at Walmart, so I'd be surprised if I spent more than $100 on it. I have been calling around for repairs on it and all estimates are from $85-$90. It is not a great machine, pretty basic and I'm always having problems with the bobbin case popping out, which I've heard is a problem with that model. I do have my mom's 50 year old Singer, which never breaks, but I can only do a straight stitch on it (I have a giant clunky zig-zag attatchment for it that makes a ruffler foot look dainty, but it does not work well enough for a satin stitch). I might as well buy a new machine, right? But really can't afford it right now since I just bought a serger. The brother 7700 is on sale right now at costco.com for $169, does anyone know how much it costs in the store? I know on-line Costco automatically factors in shipping to the price. It is probably a moot point anyway, but just trying to figure my options. Our Disneyworld trip is coming up in January and I have a lot of appliques planned that I have not done yet. Just needed to vent I guess, don't know what I will do. :sad2:

I know just what your talking about. My origional serger was about 25 years old. I thought I'd get a new Janome since that is what my machine is. I've had it about a year and a half, and it just fried. At least I think that's what happened. I was sewing along and smelt something funny and it just stopped running. I paid over $400 for it. To just walk into the sewing machine store, will cost close to $100 in repairs to look at it. I called my sister to "borrow" my old machine back. Now I wonder why I wanted to get rid of it. The old one is so quite next to the Janome. I'll just have to deal with it after the 1st of the year. Dang!! And I really wanted a new machine.

Sorry! Believe me, I ready for it to get a little cooler. I am hoping they can wear the sweatshirts when we go for the weekend (21-23).

I had my niece today, the one who pukes at the thought of wearing custom clothes. I took one of you all's advice and allowed her to pick out some of her own fabric today. We decided to sew a purse together. She had a lot of fun and really liked how it turned out. I really wanted her to pick some Christmas fabric, but of course, she refused. :sad2:

Anywho, here are the pics of the purse...

PC010129.jpg

PC010122-1.jpg

After the purse was done, she decided she'd like an H on the front out of ribbon. That would have been soooo much easier if I hadn't already sewed the purse together. I did my best, but it's pretty crooked. This was my first time using my new sewing machine I got on black Friday. I think I did the satin stitch decently along the H.

Not a clothing item, but we also made this wreath together today...

I don't see a hole at all. I know you said you CASED it, but did you use a pattern? I have been thinking of trying a dress like that for Lyddy (before she gets too big for all those ruffles!).
And, where is this Disney outlet?
in Midvale, Utah. I don't think it is official Disney but they sell official Disney merchandise. Lots of 50 year anniversary stuff, outdated stuff, ornaments etc. I got golden mickey ears for 99 cents each. Lots of t-shirts, some toys, ornaments etc.

I have a feeling I would really like Jayedyn! We  her! Way to stick up for herself!

They said it would have been a lot cheaper if it wasn't for the electronic part.

I used the YCMT stripwork jumper. The front and back panels were 20" wide and my ruffle panels were about 12" wide (plus seam allowance). I just sort of winged the ruffles. I cut out about a 3"x12" strip, then I would gather a ruffle and stitch it on to the top, then stitch another flat strip above that, then line up the next ruffle above it where I wanted and stitch that to the flat piece, then trim off the xtra on the flat piece, then add another, then another ruffle, etc.

Wow I love those shirts! Your DD's are so beautiful...I love their hair! I think my DD9 may get invited to go to HSM on Ice on Dec 28th with her best friend. If so, Santa is bringing her the tickets I think :santa: So how was the show????

Yay! I'm so happy you did something together and she liked it! When I made a backpack bag for a girl going off to college, I got so many compliments on it from all ages so I was hoping your niece would be receptive. You two did a great job on it, even the ribbon. I am sure that was hard to work with after you had the whole bag together. Maybe she will warm up to sewing and you can work up to a ribbon t-shirt for the Disney trip.

Thanks for the compliments on the shirts and girls. Unfortunately for me they get their hair color from their dad ;) .

The show was good. The girls both liked it. They did, of course, change some things around to make it go faster and work with the ice. The song "Bet on It" actually works better to ice than in the movie though. Over all we'd all give it a :thumbsup2 .

Very cute! My DD is 2 and my DN is 1, I will have to make them matching outfits!

It turned out great! And thanks for the sewing machine sympathy. I'm pretty bummed out. DH is not going for the idea of buying me a new one. I had some money put away to buy a new camera, now I just have to decide which I need more. And you need to go jump in your pool for me! We got about 8" of snow today.

Okay, thanks to you guys I finally finished the I Spy bags I started several years ago!   I like them a lot better than my original pattern, especially the "handles" Thanks for the info in your bookmarks Teresa! I used regular fabric instead of fleece. Both sides are lined so through the window you see the same nice print as the outside. The vinyl is sandwiched between two cotton layers. (still need to laminate and attatch the lists of things to find)

I saw this outfit tonight at MGM, who's cutie was it?

DSCF0985.jpg

Cindee

Cindee, that's mine... You should have grabbed her, she'd have told you where her mama was. Where did you see her? My MIL and FIL had her in Tattoine (sp.) Traders while we rode Star Tours. But we were putzing around. MIL would have told you too, she's been having fun with my customs.

We started our day at Magic Kingdom and caught some of the parade taping. We'll be back at MK for about an hour tomorrow Delaney loves Miss Penny at the barber shop so we have to go get hair cuts tomorrow. I think I'll get some glitter treatment. :)

We've got a week to go so if you see us, stop the kid, she'll happily tell you her name, what city she's from and usually where her mama is if I'm not right there. :rotfl:
