Ribbons and Ruffles!

Thanks for looking!!

I love the Cinderella...very cute.
One thing I wanted to mention about the jeans....I tried to do these too and found that it was easy to measure all the way around and divide that number by how many little slots I want cut. Then I mark each slot and make it with my buttonholer. This way the edges of the cuts don't fray. Just my 2cents...LOL

Krispy,

Me TOOOOO I could have been there too (I drive faster than Castle) LOL (Ok I also live closer:rotfl: ). Which store is closing in Orlando?

Castle-road trip? LOL

Cindee

Oh Gosh...we definately should...do you still have your moped?:moped:
;)

:goodvibes Hello everyone, sorry haven't been around much this last week, and there is a lot of catching up for me to do!!!!:lmao: All of the creations are great! I am going to upload a pic later of my two DDs in their dresses I made them.

I need to start planning outfits for our trip in April. I made a few outfits in the fall, but my DD6 has already worn hers out, she wants to wear it all the time! LOL. My DD 9 loves her twirly skirts, so I need to make her some more of those. I figure I will make these for them with some matching shirts instead of the jumper dresses. I need to try a peasant top.... haven't tackled that one yet. I did make DD9 a dress with a Raven pattern for the top, and it turned out well.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and the New year will be happy and healthy.:goodvibes

I'm swamped with work today. :laundy: I can't comment on all the cool stuff that's been posted today. Her expression is priceless, is she trying to model like Cinderella? I looove this outfit! :cutie: Fantastic job!! The light blue is so true to original Cinder, I just adore it! :lovestruc

I've been watching those pillowcases in Wally & think the Tink would be fun. It'd be just a tad too big for my niece. Dh would kill me if I tried to pull some of the male modeling girl's clothes that goes on around here!:scared1: ;) Sigh, once again...it'd be fun to have a girl to dress up.

I'm thinking of a way to possibly make a flannel nightgown like Tom's Leigh, for myself. :rotfl: My BDay is Jan 7th & I think I'm going to make a few things just for me. I'm gonna try to allow myself that luxury, without feeling Mommy guilt of any kind!:rolleyes1

I already have Mary Engelbreit pjs to make for a scrapbook retreat in February.:thumbsup2 Also, I have this retro I Love Lucy apron pattern on my mental to do list. My dream is to make it with a "working" Cinderella on the front like Heather Sure did for Tessa in October. That'll be my Happy BDay gift to myself. This will be my last year celebrating before hitting the big 40 & claiming I'm in my 30's for the next decade or so...:rotfl2:

Hey, where are you scrapbook retreating? That sounds like great fun! Mary Engelbreit PJs sound fun!

Oh, they are fun!:yay: Last year was the 1st time I went & I cried my eyes out all the way there. (I'd never left my kids before) I'm looking forward to it this year.:cool1:

I actually am going to 2 different ones, with 2 different crews. The 1st will be in TX Hill country with church friends. The 2nd will be near Canton TX with some scrapbooking sistas.

Wanna come? I think they may be booked up, but I'm not sure.

Hey, we should have a DIS boutique retreat! We could have a weekend getaway, just us girls (Oh, & Tom?) up all night laughing & giggling away. We can have chick flik marathons & do each other's hair. Than "whip up" a few fashions & have a runway show! Sounds fun!!!! I think I know the perfect location & it all began with a Mouse!!!!;)

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but I've been trying to post for an hour and the page wouldn't load. Anyway, I need your help. I am looking at these shirts on disneyshopping.com. But, they don't tell you if they are junior's sizes or women's sizes. It seems I always guess wrong. Last time I got an XL that was huge and an XL that was tiny. So, I was wondering if anyone knows how these specific shirts run.

I got so frustrated last night and this morning with the board. It would load and kept crashing. I couldnt tell if it was my puter or the forum. :confused3

I think the womens and juniors sections are separate on that site??? Though with such cute hip sayings I bet they are juniors.

Hey, I love your new siggy pic!!! :goodvibes Cute!

I'm actually planning a scrapbook retreat that is being sponsored by my church. It'll be in Midlothian - wanna come? The one you're going to close to Canton will actually be pretty close to me!

I LOVE the idea of a Disboutique retreat! Wouldn't that be fun!

Midlothian? My sister is there! I have not traveled to Midlothian since my DD came home, but for a scrapbook event hummmm....... (I have not worked on her book past her referral picture:guilty: )

:surfweb: Well, my DH leaves early tomorrow morning for ORLANDO, without me :sad2: He's going with a friend to the Capital One Bowl. I can't believe he didnt bring me and just drop me off at Disney whilst he goes to the game. :confused3

Well, on a brighter note, I decided to start making appliques that can be sewed onto outfits whenever it is that we are able to get back to Disney. It takes such a long time to do them (for me a whole day). I figure if I can make 20 or 30 different ones, then I can plan the outfits to go with them when the time comes. For now they are sewed on a coordinating base fabric which I will have to trim and then zigzag around it on the real fabric down the line. So I started with my first one the other day...it's Ariel! Hopefully, with practice, I will get better at doing them. :confused3

And finally, my daughter's friend/family, invited her to go along with them to see High School Musical On Ice. I didnt have time to make a custom. However the girls wore matching tees and bracelets! :dance3: Here's my DD9:

She had a really good time! :dance3:

Does anyone know anything about the Hannah Montana Concert in 3D movie? Its playing about 45 min from my house and I was wondering how much it would cost and if its too late to get tickets?? Thanks!

Yeesh...by now my post count should have doubled....hehehehe

All of these adorable girl outfits on this thread are wonderful!!! I would be so broke, b/c I don't sew. I would have to pay someone to make them all!! LOL!!

you girls have some fantastic talent!!! I guess if I ever have a girl, I'll have to take up sewing. ;)

Half of us didn't know how to sew until we found this thread! So, feel free to jump right in, you can sew for boys, there are many on here that don't have girls. And BTW :welcome:

LOVE this! I need to get those pillowcases before al lthe disboutiquers buy them out!

I can just see it now, all the beds with beautiful Cinderella sheets but no pillowcases to be found anywhere!!!

Do any of you do reviews on http://www.expotv.com/? Teresa and I both uploaded video reviews of Enchanted (with help from Tessa and Lydia) today. Here's the usernames of the fellow disboutiquers that I know of over there:

Me: HeatherSue
Teresa: Teresajoy
Deann: tnmom25
Teresa's son, Corey: Coreyjune12

If anyone else has any reviews over there, I'd love to watch them! Give us your username! There is another thread about this on the disboards, but I was curious how many of us disboutiquers have been making money for fabric by doing video reviews!

Hmm, I knew there was something on my "To Do" list!! LOL, Heather racks up on there, but I've not done anything in a few months.

BTW, I love your new sig pic!

Guess what I just did! I ordered an embroidery machine!  After much research and deliberation, I went with the Singer Futura 150. The lady I ordered from said it would ship out today and would only take a day or two to get here! WOO HOO!

Congratulations! That is what I got for Christmas and I LOVE IT! So far so good! Let me know how you like it!

OMG!! Checking out her Cinderella charm bracelet.

Shame on your hubby for leaving you!;) How dare he not take you to Disney!:rotfl: Love your applique. It looks really fantastic. And your daughter, GORGEOUS! She is sooo cute in her outfit!

Oh yes, Spongie, UtahMama and I are taking our girls (except Lily).   The tickets are $15 each :scared1: but it was filmed at the concert here in Salt Lake City, so taking DD10 will help ease the guilt that I did not take her to the actual concert. We couldn't go because we were in Disneyland that weekend, yet I still feel guilt :confused3 We'll have to do a TR. Misty and Wendy can write it (should we invite Misty's MIL? :lmao: ) and I'll be in charge of photos (that way I can stay out of them :rotfl: ) The tickets for the "good seats" and the popular times were selling fast, but I believe there are still plenty of tickets.

Okay, I'm back. My "surprise" company left today    Okay, I do love these people (DHs sister, BIL and 2 of their daughters.) I even often enjoy their company, but it was just not a good time and they never even asked us if they could stay. Now I'm thinking about Heather's uninvited dog and I'm thinking this may top that :rotfl: DH's OTHER sister did leave us a message on the answering machine to let us know that their sister and her family would be coming in a couple of days to stay with us. That was it. Okay, had to vent a little. I'm just glad to have my craft room back and now I can sew again and have my own computer back. I have already finished Lily's Valentine's dress. It turned out pretty cute. I'll post pictures when I can get it on her. I did manage to get photos of her wearing the (famous pillowcase) Cinderella jumper I made. She was not very cooperative. I can't tell you how many photos I had to take! And she's still sticking out her tongue in the best one. Dolly is lying next to her.

I'm gonna have to make something like this since Little is now aHUGE Cinderella fan. Why oh why didn't Santa bring her that movie?? I dropped plenty of hints!!;)

Being New Years we had a HUGE blood drive today and I spent most of the day feeling like a Disney character inside of Beauregard the Bloodhound...I had fun w/ it but it was HOT. Sometime during the day I tripped on the ENORMOUS feet and sprained the top of my foot. I'll be spending the rest of the evening w/ my feet up, an ice pack and a glass of Reisling. I hope you are all safe and sound on New Years Eve!!! See ya next year!
...t.

You can make money doing this? How do I get started?
You just upload at least 1 minute video reviews of products you already have in your house (DVDs, computer games, appliances, etc...). They pay $10 for some reviews, $5 for some, and $2 for others (I don't waste my time on $2 reviews). You just record yourself talking about the stuff and then upload it to the website. They paypal you the money at the end of the month! If you want more info, PM me and I can give you some tips.

I already have Mary Engelbreit pjs to make for a scrapbook retreat in February.:thumbsup2 Also, I have this retro I Love Lucy apron pattern on my mental to do list. I am so flattered that you want to sorta-CASE my working Cinderella!!:lovestruc I love your idea of putting it on a retro apron!

I am pretty sure these are womens sizes. I bought one for a friend in November. She is pg so I bought her a lg. It looked plenty big. It was in the adult section at the Disney Store. VERY cute. I bought her the blue thinking it was a Cinderella shirt. Didn't look to closely! She told me later is was Alice! Ooop! I wish I had bought one for myself.
I ordered the pink Tink one. I like all of them, so it was hard to decide.

Hey, I love your new siggy pic!!! :goodvibes Cute!
I was having the same problem this morning, it wasn't your computer!

Nope, the women's and juniors sections were all jumbled together under "adult clothing". When I actually got the shirts, they were labeled "juniors" and "women's", but they didn't bother to specify on the site. When I called customer service, the woman on the phone told me I should go to the store and see them in person before ordering. I told her if I had a Disney store nearby, why wouldn't I just buy the clothes there? :confused3

You didn't have to tell us it's Ariel! That applique looks good!! What a great idea to do them ahead of time and then attach them to the outfit.

Your DD looks so pretty! HSM on ice sounds like so much fun!

on your floor?

So, which one is the doll in these pictures?

I don't know but this is now my new favorite shirt and I don't even have one!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

There is also a black one with Snow White on it that's super-cool! I already own the black hooded sweater like this with Snow White on it, though. I knew you'd like these shirts. I thought of you the first time I saw them! I don't know why. Oh, maybe because they're t-shirts. Hardy-har-har.

Ow, I bet that really hurt! I hope your foot starts feeling better!

It's inevitable that brilliant women such as our selves would think alike:thumbsup2 That and, clearly, we both have excellent taste.

Well the good new is 3 glasses of wine, 2 cold packs and 4 ibueprofen later my foot is feeling better.;)
