Ready for MNSSHP this FRIDAY! I just couldn't resist posting these pics. Our pettiskirt came in today - I can't wait for my DD to wear this!

petti2.jpg

What Kind of fabric do you use for the pettiskirts? Is it tulle? It looks softer than tulle.

I love these costumes. SO CUTE! DD wants to be a Pumpkin and DS will be a Pirate. But for his preschool party they have to be some kind of animal so I will have to make him something else. He is asking me to make him a Peter Pan costume.

I didn't make the pettiskirt - I purchased it. I'm not sure what it is made of - it's very soft.

What pattern do you use? I'm wanting to start making some for my dgs. He's only 5m now, but he'll be wearing these next summer.

I use Mcalls 2033
Now the pattern runs a little big! So make sure you do not cut the fabric a little bigger if you want wiggle room. That is the size 1 pattern cut from it and Nicholas wears a 18m right now.

I want to say we are going to the party on the ninth. We have not gotten tickets yet but I am pretty sure that is the day. DD is very excited to say the least!!!

Does anyone have good pic of Belle's head. I am going to give princess applique a go! I have a great one of her in the blue dress but the coordinating fabric she is in the yellow dress.

TIA

Hi all!

I FINALLY got a new machine and jumped in with both feet- but no patterns!! :lmao: Does anybody have any advice or tips on hemming the twirl skirts- it looks like it is going to be tough. The other circle skirt I added organza ribbon at the bottom so I have yet to do an official hem! Thanks for any help. ;)

that was actually in my stash and bought about 2 or 3 years ago. I do not think they make it anymore. I had just enough to make the jumper. I have a little girls jumper that I made years ago for my daughter to wear when she was about 3 years old and she is almost 7 so.... that is how old the fabric is...

Lori
oh:sad1: i think my mom has it? it looks very familiar..

Hmmm...what day was she wearing her Tink outfit? I am pretty sure that I saw you there.

Wednesday, magical beginnings day. Hopefully you didn't see me dragging her away or her screaming, or me screaming for that matter.:rotfl: She wasn't a happy camper that day, didn't want to participate or do anything. That's what I get for waking her up to go to Early hours.:headache:

That is so funny!! We are 172 days away from our spring trip. I forgot on the 180th day to call WDW for CRT. I remembered at 1:00 p.m. I was so so surprised when I got a table for 8:05!Hannah and I are making our countdown to Christmas at WDW chain today. I have to count and see how many days are left.

I asked Hannah if she wanted a Turkey sandwich for lunch and she said no thank you I would like a princess sandwich. So being the super creative Mom I am (and I really needed to finish something and keep her occupied) here is what she got- I cut her bread into a pumpkin (the carriage), the turkey was a flower (Belle's rose), nemo gold fish and grapes because every good princess eats her fruit. She has so excited and then guess what she asked for to drink . . . Coke Zero please!:scared1:

We just found out on Monday that we are going in February (2008) and I know my 180 days is long past but I decided to try and make the reservations for CRT anyway and I was able to get them amazingly enough for breakfast. I am so excited!!!

I only wanted a few reservations since we were just there in April (2007) and this was a surprise trip - DH's company scheduled a sales meeting there at the Dolphin and the rest of us are going to tag along. I was able to get CRT breakfast, Crystal Palace for lunch, Mama Melrose for fantasmic, Chef Mickey's for breakfast and Askershus for lunch! Everything I wanted was available so I am so excited! Anyone else going in February? I guess I better get started on clothes for the trip!!!

Okay, got a few more pics that I must share.

Of course here's us at Minnie's sewing machine

To my DD3 this was the whole point of going to Disney World. For everyday that she stayed clean and dry she earned a Disney Dollar. For every accident she had she had to give mommy one. She saved these in a big jar. (Once we started this, she only lost one dollar about an hour after we started, then that was it) What a magical way to finally potty train... Anyway, after she had earned $7 dollars I asked her what she was going to buy, and she said "I buy mickey ice cream." (She had seen a pic of me eating one the previous week) So here she is paying for it, and devouring it. Back on topic, here she is in her minnie outfit with all the accessories...

Believe it or not, there was not one spec of chocolate on her outfit. I still can't figure that one out.:confused3

Okay, I cannot resist. Here is my DD with the same ice cream.

She too managed to stay clean. Give her an ice cream cone at home and she needs a bath! We potty trained with the Belle dress. It was a last ditch effort and it worked!

Can anyone tell me what the Little One's Extra Hours is?

It's a day for kids that are under 5 can go to the magic Kingdom an hour before park opening. Fantasy land and toon town are the only areas open. Characters greet the kids at the ropes, when the ropes drop they walk you different areas where the kids play games with characters. We played Duck duck goose with Minnie and Daisy. Wendy played Wendy says... Tigger, pooh, chip and dale, goofy, Alice, and some dancer were all there too. After the beginning games, they go and ride the rides with the kids. It was really cool! They don't do pictures or autographs. After about 30 minutes or so, another set of characters including Mickey came out and continued on playing games. It wasn't crowded at all. Really fun.

The next time I go, if they are still doing this, I will be going that day. As a kid I was never able to go, but in my head this is what I imagined it would be like at the Magic Kingdom. When I went the first time, four years ago, I was so disappointed that the only character I saw was Mickey in the tent. Just not what I had ever imagined. (We missed the parade that day) I wish this was the first day I took DD. What a great first impression.
