I think you did a great job on this. are you entering any halloween contests?
Lori

We're back from Disney! We had a great time. My husband who didn't even want to go on the trip had such a great time, he's already booked our trip for next year. Yay!!!! Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone again who made a custom for my girls. We got so much attention and so many compliments on the princess skirts and minnie skirts! Now to figure out next year's outfits. :rotfl2: Hopefully, I can get some of you ladies to make my girls stuff again for next year.

Alexis looks precious in Ireland's costume!!!! You did an amazing job!   (Makes me want a GLOW drink and comfort food)

Just the fact that the apron is white, would guarantee my dd would shmutz some S'mores all over it. I'd have to bring Shout towelettes. My Norah's such a messy little princess.

I'm off to cut out and get started on this much dreaded witch slash ballerina costume. Mine's nearly done, so I'll post em when I'm done. I plan on taking my sweet time with what I have left to do!

TEN more days till the Utahans pass through the Arch of Wonder.

ONE day left of my 30's!!!!! Crap, I'm 40 tomorrow. What are these wrinkles doing showing up 1 day early???? Heh...:rolleyes1

Here is my newest Creation! I have finally mastered these Jumpers! Whew! I like to line them, I think it looks neater and it is softer for the baby! I made this a tad too big. It is a size 2ish and he wears a 18m currently. I am sure shortly it will fit.

how cute is that! great job. i have that same problem my DS2 is almost the same size he wears between a 12-18 month he just saw your picture and started singing m i ck e y m o u s e .where did you find that cute nascar fabric?

I'm in the process of tying on all of the tule pieces to make a skirt for my dd's pirate halloween skirt. Do I sew around the top to keep the "knots" from coming loose? 25 down and 75 more to knot! (Should be about 100 yds - one fluffy pirate!):scared1:

I have only tied mine and it's held up great - I was actually looking at it last night my daughter was playing dress up in it!

I have the fleece to make three of these blankets. I haven't done it yet though. I don't want to sit under two layers of fleece when it is 90 degrees outside! :rotfl: I still have to cut the edges too.

Anyways, I was thinking I may want to add something to them. Ribbon or Rick rack or something.

Has anyone made these before? Anyone have any ideas?

I am making a Mickey blanket, a Pirate Blanket, and an Ariel Blanket.

I haven't added anything - you may see that when you tie it you like the way they look! Don't forget to dbl knot them
Just checked out your site with the clothes WOW do you paint them all free hand or do you use so kind of pattern (sp?) Either way SO Cool!!! You are very talented :cheer2:

What site did I miss???

Some things on the outfit that I wanted to point out.
I actually used piping on the hat and on the apron.
I also use duck cloth to give the apron a stiff shape.
I did cuffs on the sleeves for the first time. I even added a little button to the cuff.
The back of the shirt, has an iron on on Pop's Malt Shop, that I printed out on the computer, and the little cupcake on the Apron I bought from Michaels.
The glasses are from the costume shop, I just had to take out the lenses...LOL
I'm also going to add a name tag, and I'm going to find a smaller wig. This one, said it will fit children, but it's a little big.

SO CUTE!!

that was actually in my stash and bought about 2 or 3 years ago. I do not think they make it anymore. I had just enough to make the jumper. I have a little girls jumper that I made years ago for my daughter to wear when she was about 3 years old and she is almost 7 so.... that is how old the fabric is...

Here's a few pics from our photopass, I still need to go through and delete all the bad ones from the camera.... I've flipped all these photos in photobucket, but they have a mind of their own. Now they decide to behave.....
DisneyPhotoImage90.jpg

At Pirate and Princess Party I forgot to mention the hook. Suddenly she wanted to be captain Hook, so Daddy made her hook, from the top of a hanger in the closet, a plastic cup, note paper, sharpie, clothes pin, and tape. She never put it down, she carried her little loot bag on it, and would hold it up at the treasure spots!
DisneyPhotoImage2.jpg

Her Epcot outfit, that hardly anybody saw, it rained alot, so she went barefoot, and was covered in a poncho in the stroller, so much for the shoes! Note my skirt I made it at the last minute, I got lots of attention too. Someone even offered to buy it off of me. Sorry, I need some sort of bottoms for the day.!
DisneyPhotoImage56.jpg

Here's Wendy checking out DD outfit. She got tons of attention this day! She was showing Wendy her brothers on her necklace.
DisneyPhotoImage35.jpg

The highlight of her trip, I have video of her jumping up and down, screaming, ANNIE ANNIE ANNIE, as they walked to the photo spot!

Gosh darn it, aren't we stinkin cute!:rotfl2:

Hmmm...what day was she wearing her Tink outfit? I am pretty sure that I saw you there.

Castle creations that diner costume is way too awesome! I love it! I should make one for me!

Although I won't be sewing for a while, I must convert my scrapbook room back into a scrapbook room.:lmao: I've been printing pics, now I gotta have someplace to put them:laughing:

I thought scrapbooking was messy, sewing is a lot worse. Fabric and strings stick to everything!

I hear ya! My scrapbooking has been taking a beating since I started sewing again! When we get back from Disney - I need to convert - LOL!

That is so funny!! We are 172 days away from our spring trip. I forgot on the 180th day to call WDW for CRT. I remembered at 1:00 p.m. I was so so surprised when I got a table for 8:05!Hannah and I are making our countdown to Christmas at WDW chain today. I have to count and see how many days are left.

Not sure when you're going, but we leave 12/8 and we're at 87 days.

I haven't touched my scrapping in months either. Good thing, I don't think I can afford to buy supplies for both addictions, err hobbies, at once. :rolleyes1

We are off tomorrow for 10 days in the WORLD:banana:  ! Thanks for all your help with Emma's outfits. I may pop in here and there before we leave - but in case I get lost in panic land - SEE YOU ALL AFTER the 23rd! We are so excited - but I am in pack, clean, shop stress mode. I keep telling myself to BREATHE!!! I saw a license plate frame this AM that said "I'm too blessed to be stressed" LOVE IT!

Looks like we'll be there at the same time. I will keep my eyes out for your beautiful princesses! princess: princess:

I've been to JoAnn's twice this week furiously using my coupons. I questioned a helpful employee while I was there and found out that if you have more than one coupon, you can use several at the cutting center then use another for an an additional item at the register when you check out. Then they gave another sheet of coupons when I checked out. :woohoo: I've gotten fabric and a pattern for 2 flannel robes for the kids, stabilizer, elastic, 2 spools of bobbin thread, and pirate fabric for applique shirts for DS all for 40% off.

Hope I didn't quote too soon, but I would like directions for these as well. I have the fleece all bought! (Of course) I think I read somewhere that you lay the two fleece pieces on top of each other, and cut in 5 inches to form strips. Then you tie the two cut pieces together. However I also remember something about at the corners you need to cut out about a five inch square and just discard it (or save it for some other project I guess) I would think this would be easy, just have not tried. The two pieces of fleece tied together would be very warm, but so cozy. I bought princess pink fleece planning on having it for my DD's sleep cot.

You have it right! I have made several of these for my kids as well as my husband (the steelers monster as I call it) they don't take long at all and the best part is they are forgiving... so if you're cuts aren't THAT straight it's ok!

here are a couple of directions links I found...

Blanket 1

Blanket 2
- ways to finish a no sew fleece blanket
Blanket 3

Hope this helps!
