I LOVE it! Especially the shirt with Ariel. It is AWESOME! Where did you get that pattern? I might try to make one for my dd. Very sweet. Good job!:yay:

Outfit1.jpg

Thank you! I made it using Simplicity # 4568. It is a Lizzie McGuire pattern that includes several tops. I plan on making a couple of the long sleeved ones for fall. I was kind of scared of the ruffled shirt to start with because it looked more difficult than anything I'd ever tried. When I bought the pattern my intent was to make one of the shirts with the straight waist area. When DD7 saw it, which one do you think she wanted? The ruffles, of course! I didn't want to tell her that just looking at the picture was making mommy break out in a cold sweat!;) Anything for DD7, right! Anyway, I'm glad I tried it. My DD7 loves it!

I have been lurking at this thread for some time, and boy, are you guys awesome!!! There are some really talented people on here and very inspirational! I have worked on a few things in the past year and I am planning on doing some painting on some overalls, Little Einsteins, and on jeans-Mickey and Minnie with fabric ruffles around the bottom. I will have to post them once I get them done. But in the meantime, here are three things I have done. Feed back is much appreciated (Love the positive stuff, but I will take any useful criticism as well! :rotfl: )

http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd282/madelinesmomm/DSC00699.jpg I only did the pants and the bow (can't see the bow too well)
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd282/madelinesmomm/DSC00695.jpg Did the pants in this one too
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd282/madelinesmomm/DSC00707.jpg Front of the Halloween dress (notice the spider coming out of the pocket!)
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd282/madelinesmomm/DSC00703.jpg Back of the Halloween dress

Luckily she can still wear all of these! My DD hasn't grown too much in a year!

I like the pants a lot! Great job!
We stayed off site at the Marriot near Sea World. It took about an hour from our door to the gate at the MK. The hotel was FAB but we were never there. We had a ton of trouble with the car rental. Not to mention the $4.38 gallon of gas we had to fill up an SUV with!

I knew we were going to have late nights and early morings so the bag thing was a time saver and my DH could help me out. We took pics as an activity for DD. She was driving me crazy about when are we going. So I channeled her excitement into another area! We made a photo album.

(We also took a pic of all of her costumes.)

Oh I bet this might work for AGM too, she can be relentless at times, but loves to "help" I feel better hearing what you didn't like. Our home is 7 minutes door to door to MK parking lot. Longest ride is 15 I think . ( The couple that stayed with us last year went to all of the theme parks and actually timed everything.) We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub at our rental house. DD would be in bed at about 7 pm, and we played cards, swam and used the game room. A couple of nights i watched American Idol all by myself too. ( I know how much THAT would mean to you:rotfl: )

I dont know about Aimee but I took pics for my pre-trip report and still had them in photobucket. Otherwise it never would have occured to me :rotfl: BTW my DH thought I was crazy for taking some of the pics I did for our trip:rotfl2:

I think I might try to take pics too. My DH thinks all of this is nuts. He is WRONG though and I have no problem telling him that!!

i love the minnie dress! too cute and fun...thanks for the info on the korker ribbons...but i think i will copy a child at the day care where i work, her mom just buys the curly ribbons you get for gifts and hot glues them to her barrettes!:woohoo: cute ,easy and many colors to chose from and cheap!!!!!:hippie:

I am so gonna CASE this idea!

this much!!!!

The outfits and your daughters are stunning!!!

Hi Everyone,
Since starting my new semester, I have been so busy with clinicals, that I haven't had much time to sew. But I did manage to finish my dd's outfit.

The bows I bought, and are absolutely gorgeous, with little red hearts sewn on...I just couldn't get a good picture...

This is the first time I've had something to contribute.:cool1:

Here is the Ariel shirt with denim shorts. I'd posted earlier asking how to create the ribbon shorts/skirt and really appreciate everyone's help. When I went to Waldemort, I found this great trim and I figured it would be easier to just sew it on. I'm pretty pleased with the result.   My daughter thinks the shirt is a little short. I'm trying to decide if I want to add another ruffle. What do you think?

A little off topic--This picture is of my first creation:) This is the outfit my DD7 wore on the first day of school. You can't see all of the bottoms, but they are pink gingham capris. I can't take much credit for the top since the shirring was already in place when I purchased the fabric at Waldemort.:wizard: To make it Disney related, if you could see the front of her bookbag and lunchbag, you would see the Disney Princesses.princess:

I still have three other outfits to finish before we leave for Disney on the 12th. So I should have more to post later.

I absolutely love the Ariel top. You picked the perfect pattern. It's adorable.

I wanted to share some issues I have had with my DD's school. :teacher:

One week after school started DD still wanted to have me walk her into the building. Her teacher told me to stop walking her to the room because none of the other parents walk their children in. Also she told me DD was fine once "mommy left" Umm hello I know this I was trying to get DD to get out on her own that very morning. I have had several "near misses" on the road to the school. To many people in a hurry in the morning and a couple scary incidents in the afternoon too. THere is a large daycare on the corner where lots of kids come for Pre-K.

DD was late a couple times because it is so hard to turn left out of our neighborhood and then turn left again to get to the school. My neighbor blew his horn at me when I didn't turn left when he thought I had enough time but I didn't.:confused3

This morning DD was about 3 minutes late. On the way to school we talked about her riding the bus and how it would work better because the bus picks her up earlier and she wouldn't be tardy. So when I got to school I went in with her to fill out the forms so she could be a bus rider.

We are greeted by a lady who I see in the office a lot but I don't know her name. She says, "you have been tardy a lot this year." "If you continue to be tardy we will call Social Services":scared1: I don't know how she would know how many times my daughter has been tardy. I haven't discussed this with her before. No one sent a note home with DD. THere are over 850 kids in this mega elementary school.

I tell her that we are having problems getting out of our neighborhood there is too much traffic. She says again, "we will call DFACS if she is Tardy"

SO I say well we are going to change to riding a bus so I don't think she will be Tardy again. After school I ask DD about this Lady and who she is. DD says she is the Principal!:scared: Umm, first of all where is her name badge? Everyone else in the school wears one.

I got things switched around and then left. I have been so angry about this since this morning and now I am trying to switch DD to a smaller Private school. What do you ladies think? My neighbor had an issue where she was trying to help her DS because he was having some difficulties with reading. When she talked with the vice principal he told her they were just babysitting.

I just had a second but, I had to reply to this. See this is why I am scared of sending son to school. It is the beginning of the year they should cut you a little slack. I mean 3 minutes. I would have said "yes I am hear to pull her out of this school!" I can understand them sending a note or something but, to threaten to call social services is nuts. I am normally a very calm type of person but, schools thinking they run the show make me so mad! I am sorry you had to listen to those threats. Like social services doesn't have enough real problems to deal with. :sad2:

Wow beautiful pics and your daughter is so pretty! I just love everything Lisa makes too!!! :goodvibes

This is a tough question.

IMHO-

You are going to THE castle. I would wear a gown. My DD was so excited to wear her dress to the castle she could hardly stand it! It is all she talked about for months.

This is my favorite castle picture. It is priceless.

DisneyWorldFour033.jpg

I would have her change after breakfast and head over to the Judges Tent, the fountain and the wishing well. Those are some great photo ops!

Whatever you choose have a great time!

Where is the wishing well...I have never seen it. I must be missing something, because I have been going to Disney for years and just saw Cinderella's fountain, the last time I was there, and I still can't see the mice on the ledge..Help!! LOL

So cute! I just love the first pose, the one where she is wearing green. I love the Halloween outfit, too.

Hi tnmom 25...
Cute!!! Did you make this?[/QUOTE]

I made it after I found this thread and everyone inspired me to pull the old machine out again. I found the fabric at JoAnn's and knew it would be great for the Pirate/Princess party. I like quick and easy projects and am not good with patterns so it was right up my alley! I am going to attempt a twirl skirt, though and I bought a ruffler...we'll see what happens.

I was looking in THAT site at all the other searches posted recently and came upon this one... custom boutique pumpkin patch overalls original design.

Look at the price...I wonder what the reserve is. No way I'm paying that for a seasonal outfit for a toddler! It's really cute though, I may have to do something like it myself!

If you want to see wild prices, check out her completed listings... like $438 for an appliqued denim jacket! I want to be her when I grow up. :lmao:

BTW - Resells of her sets do almost as well. :scared1:

If you are facing the castle walk to the right and up the path you will see the wishing well. Do not forget to look for lucifer while you are there!

I really don't know what gives the school the right to treat you like we are horrible parent.

Last year when Megan was in kindergarten she was sick a few times 1 for three days do to an ear infection in the ear she had a tube put in. By the way she had gotten off the bus with green liquid coming out of her ear. I am surprised no one noticed . It was even on her shirt. So then a few weeks later she got pink eye and the school told me she could not come back till she has had the drops in her eyes for 48 hours since this was a Sunday I couldn't get her to Dr till Monday. So great we are only allowed 7 un excused absences. I got told she wasn't allowed to be absent any more without a Dr note or I would face the school board. My thing is in California it is not mandatory for kids to attend kindergarten. So what was the big deal so sorry for rambling but I just wanted to say I know how you feel.

AND, these are the scrapbooks that I made!!!

These are GREAT! I want to CASE! Would you be so nice as to share how you did these? What do the autograph pages look like?
The outfits are great too! My son thinks he's too old to dress in clothes like that. Too bad this board didn't exist about five years ago!

Girls search Voldemort for this
CUSTOM BOUTIQUE HALLOWEEN FALL PUMPKIN TIARA CROWN

I am thinking it might be adorable with a Cinderella custom? Pricey though

These are GREAT! I want to CASE! Would you be so nice as to share how you did these? What do the autograph pages look like?

I don't have anything on the pages yet. I like them plain becuase I don't know for sure who we will meet to sign them. So, I leave them blank, have the characters sign the page and then when we return I will scrap and embelish the pages and attach a picture of my child with that character on the facing page.
Make sense?

To do them, I bought a 6x8 book on JoAnn's website for a little over $5. I opened the wires to remove the cover. Then, I embelished everything, mod podged over it about 5 or so layers and then used spray acrylic gloss sealer over top of that--maybe 4 or so coats. Then, I reattached the cover and squeezed the wires shut.

It was easy peasy and fun!
