Hi Everyone,
Since starting my new semester, I have been so busy with clinicals, that I haven't had much time to sew. But I did manage to finish my dd's outfit.

The bows I bought, and are absolutely gorgeous, with little red hearts sewn on...I just couldn't get a good picture...

Lisa, I love how it all came together! The heart top underneath is great!

I don't have anything on the pages yet. I like them plain becuase I don't know for sure who we will meet to sign them. So, I leave them blank, have the characters sign the page and then when we return I will scrap and embelish the pages and attach a picture of my child with that character on the facing page.
Make sense?

To do them, I bought a 6x8 book on JoAnn's website for a little over $5. I opened the wires to remove the cover. Then, I embelished everything, mod podged over it about 5 or so layers and then used spray acrylic gloss sealer over top of that--maybe 4 or so coats. Then, I reattached the cover and squeezed the wires shut.

It was easy peasy and fun!

So creative! I love it! Thanks for sharing your instructions! Do you know of anywhere else I might could purchase the book? We leave in 11 days and I don't think I'd have time to do everything if I had to order them. We don't have a Joann's close by either. Is it a book of card stock pages?

Yes, heavy cardstock pages.
I just ordered these books on Aug 20th and they arrived on the 25th. There may be a chance they would come in time if you have all the embelishments, etc ready to go.
Hmm.. I saw similar books at our Pat Catan's. I am not sure if anyone else has them. Wish I could be of more help.

Good Luck.

I am gonna have to try this as well. ADORABLE!!!

So, Dh and I are going on an afternoon date today.

He is going fabric shopping with me. We will see how it goes!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The good thing is he will be there and I can use extra coupons! The bad thing is I cannot "buy" whatever I want! I am going to look for calicos for some un-gowns and they notion wall is 50% off at Jo Ann's today. It should be fun. I think. We are also going to a late lunch.

Grandma is watching the girlies so they will have fun too!

this much!!!!

Your girls are just beautiful!!! The outfits are stunning!!!

Oh I bet this might work for AGM too, she can be relentless at times, but loves to "help" I feel better hearing what you didn't like. Our home is 7 minutes door to door to MK parking lot. Longest ride is 15 I think . ( The couple that stayed with us last year went to all of the theme parks and actually timed everything.) We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub at our rental house. DD would be in bed at about 7 pm, and we played cards, swam and used the game room. A couple of nights i watched American Idol all by myself too. ( I know how much THAT would mean to you:rotfl: )
Every three years or so, my entire family, including Heather (hkite) take a big family trip to Florida. We always rent a house or two, and we just love it! Last time we stayed in Emerald Isle, but this year we are going to be down the road a bit further. We have so much fun doing this, and it turns out so much cheaper than getting a hotel.

Beautiful girls and outfits.... Wow, that twirl skirt must have been REALLY hard with that ruffle.... Whew....

Thank you! I made it using Simplicity # 4568. It is a Lizzie McGuire pattern that includes several tops. I plan on making a couple of the long sleeved ones for fall. I was kind of scared of the ruffled shirt to start with because it looked more difficult than anything I'd ever tried. When I bought the pattern my intent was to make one of the shirts with the straight waist area. When DD7 saw it, which one do you think she wanted? The ruffles, of course! I didn't want to tell her that just looking at the picture was making mommy break out in a cold sweat!;) Anything for DD7, right! Anyway, I'm glad I tried it. My DD7 loves it!

You did a TREMENDOUS job! I can't believe you were sweating.... it looks great! I might have to see if I can find that pattern!

That is cute....I need a Lilo for our character breakfast..... Too many characters, too little money for customs....:headache:

Spongemommie05,my Camden is 3 1/2. He is QUITE the handful. ;)

And, I htink I have PMd the 3 that have asked for the seller of the Star Wars shirts. Let me know if I forgot anyone.

I have been working on DD's Mickey dress for Chef Mickey's.

I am not done yet, but I thought I would ask your opinions on what color buttons I should use.

It also buttons up the bodice back, so I need to get the button holes done before I attach the skirt.

Not the best pictures I know. The skirt is just temorarily pinned on so you could get the effect, so don't put these in the photobucket showcase until I get the final project done.

So, what color buttons? Red, Black, or Yellow? Any other suggestions?

Thank you!

I CABed this from :wizard: .

They used black buttons with a black ribbon.

I piped the front bodice in black and used a yellow ribbon.

What do you think I should use?

Of course I had to add a Mickey applique!;)

ETA: DW got home from work and suggested yellow buttons sewn on with red thread. Sounds good to me! I'll post finished pics. once I get the buttons and the skirt sewn in!
Thanks!

Will the buttons be on the front or the back - I'm thinking they will be on the back but wanted to make sure.
