Any design suggestions for a Hannah Montana inspired outfit? My 7 yr old dd would just die if I got one for her!

By the way, I can't sew a lick so I can't make it myself. ;-)

Thanks!

Thought I would share th customs we have for our trip. We leave in 2 days!!
No, I did not make these but I did help is the designs of them.

AND, these are the autograph books that I made!!!

Those are great!

I think today the boys clothes are outnumbering the girls.
Here is my latest Mickey head shirt for my son. Excuse the 3 y/o smile.

I have been working on DD's Mickey dress for Chef Mickey's.

I am not done yet, but I thought I would ask your opinions on what color buttons I should use.

It also buttons up the bodice back, so I need to get the button holes done before I attach the skirt.

Not the best pictures I know. The skirt is just temorarily pinned on so you could get the effect, so don't put these in the photobucket showcase until I get the final project done.

So, what color buttons? Red, Black, or Yellow? Any other suggestions?

Thank you!

I CABed this from :wizard: .

They used black buttons with a black ribbon.

I piped the front bodice in black and used a yellow ribbon.

What do you think I should use?

Of course I had to add a Mickey applique!;)

ETA: DW got home from work and suggested yellow buttons sewn on with red thread. Sounds good to me! I'll post finished pics. once I get the buttons and the skirt sewn in!
Thanks!

Tom, ANY smart man would do what his wife told him:love: I bought buttons at Waldamort that are white centers with bright yellow around them in the shape of a flower. Very like Minnie!!!

Hi Everyone,
Since starting my new semester, I have been so busy with clinicals, that I haven't had much time to sew. But I did manage to finish my dd's outfit.

I have been a lurker, but LOVE all of the items! I am obsessed with purchasing disney boutique outfits!!!! One of these days I will get pictures of the outfits and my girls up!

Spongemommie05,my Camden is 3 1/2. He is QUITE the handful. ;)

And, I htink I have PMd the 3 that have asked for the seller of the Star Wars shirts. Let me know if I forgot anyone.

Oh my goodness, I have a Camden, also! At 5 1/2 he is quite the handful as well (I feel sorry for his kindergarten teacher!)

Also, I would LOVE to know the Star Wars shirt seller...My DH and all of my boys would so adore those shirts!

TIA!!

OK, so here is my second official finished project :goodvibes I of course see all the mistakes, but DD loves it. I wish I would have listened to my instincts and bought ribbon instead of fabric for the black contrast section and strap. Folding and sewing that evenly was a total pain, and ribbon would have been easier and nicer looking IMO. Other than that, it was pretty easy to do really!

I think your DW's suggestion is perfect. Once again you did a great job for your Princess.

I know these aren't great pics, but the princess did not like the press today. :lmao:

I had to show off the topsy-turvy Cinderella doll I made her too.

What a precious picture of your beautiful daughter going up the castle steps!

Thanks for your opinion! I'm just so torn with what I should do. Would you say that most all of the girls were dressed in their cinderella gowns?

I must say, though, my dd really dislikes wearing costumes because of the itchiness factor but I really want her to feel special since this is her first time in the castle. What's a mom like me to do, lol?

I haven't read other's responses to this yet. I'm behind in my reading (as always). But we eat at the castle almost every trip and most girls are NOT dressed in gowns. Some are, but it's never been the majority or even close to it.

No time to chat, gotta get to Joanns before 9:00...just wanted to say i stayed up till 3 last night cutting out patterns and fabric and should have maybe 2 outfits done by monday. Gotta run.

I took princess gowns for my girls to wear but gave them the option of not wearing it. They chose not to as those things are too itchy! Here is what they wore & the pp is right, I don't remember seeing one princess gown in the whole restaurant. They are having customs for out next trip.

Too funny! DW saw these at Waldemort tonight and said "Perfect"!

So that is what we went with!
