:goodvibes Thanks for the info. I'd love to order one for Chloe's bat mitzvah since that's the reason for the trip although her bat mitzvah will happen in May. I love the idea of having the cake delivered. What flavor did you get?

and one more for the 8th night you booked today!

jumped over to your TR from your split stay thread... hubby didn't include the link but he has another tr going, POTC, on stranger rides (nebo)

I have to go back now and read your report, , but just from your threadm, I knew we were kindred spirits.
(well, kinda, you still have kids,, we are empty nesters) (but.. I feel your pain......);)

I think one AP for the TiW card. I've done the math and we'll save with the card. :thumbsup2 I've done the triple split once and swore I wouldn't do it again. :rolleyes1

Oh great idea on the one AP and TiW.

Which resorts did you stay at during your triple split?
I'm considering cutting the AKV time in half and moving over to an Epcot resort. But the idea of repacking is not appealing.

Added on the 9th night at the THV this morning. :woohoo: I'm really leaning towards the triple spilt. :hyper:

:welcome: smidgy. I love saying smidgy. Great screen name. :thumbsup2 Glad to have you.

Cool! I'll check them out.

I'm not just a looker missy.

Repacking and unpacking is the only real sucky part about spilitting.

As of now, SSR-THV-and then maybe AKV but the BWV are still calling my name! The issue I am borrowing soooo.......I don't want to over borrow if that makes sense. :upsidedow

Have you continued to add nights to your THV reservation?

A triple split seems like a headache. But, adding AKV or BWV will give you a totally different experience. Would you do THV and AKV or BWV?

I'm in planning mode this week. My grandmother, aunt, and cousin may join us in August. I'm trying to find a discount for them. They're looking at WL for a week.

I have 9 right now. I'm not adding anymore at this point because I'm borrowing points. If I decide to change a few nights at the BWV at the 7 month mark I won't need as many points. I know we won't need more than 5 at the THV.

I agree but I'm dying to try another resort beside SSR. I am thinking first BWV and then AKV. I know BWV will be difficult to get into during F&W but thus far my 7 month mojo has been good. pixiedust:

I love planning mode! :surfweb: Are they doing the hotel then? Look in the resort area. They are great about posting discounts. I'd also go into Disneyworld.com and sign up for a dummy trip, save it, and you may get a PIN. I did that and have received 3 PINS for room discounts in the past 2 months.

A THV/BWV split would be nice. The location at BWV is amazing. Is SSR a must for the trip? You can experience SSR while you're at the THV.

I borrowed point too. They run out so fast. :rotfl:
I thought you were doing more than 9 nights.

I've been stalking the Discounts board. Nothing yet for next summer. I did plug in a few dummy trips. Hopefully that will work.

Have you started looking at flights for next October? I booked our return flights last weekend. We still can't decide on outbound flights.

We are staying 13 nights as of now, no less than 10 for sure. I don't want to over borrow if that makes sense. If it ends up just 10 nights I will only need an additional night. If we end up with a couple of nights at BWV we'll need fewer points. I can't book that until 7 months. I am also pretty sure that SSR won't fill up before 7 months so can add that accordingly.

No skipping the actual SSR part. We agreed that on our next trip we'd stay at SSR. He's not hot like I am on the THV. We'll be trying both this next trip. ;)

Are October 2012 flights released already? :surfweb:

You don't book round trip? Are 2 one ways more expensive?

I'll look for discounts for you too.

Thank you! I'm discount hunting and don't want to use AAA. I want to be able to work on my grandmother's reservation.

I'll look for discounts for you too.

10-13 nights is perfect!
I totally understand not wanting to over borrow right now. SSR most likely will not fill up. I was able to book a studio for my grandmother, aunts, and cousin at SSR 2 weeks before their trip in 2010.

Will this be your first time staying at the SSR part of the resort? You could always do a few days at SSR and end your stay at BWV. The walk to Epcot and DHS will spoil you!

Are you planning on keeping THV at the beginning of your stay? How is transportation at the THV?

October 2012 flights should either be released already or coming out any day now. They usually open up at about the 11 month mark for major airlines.

I usually don't book roundtrip when it comes to Disney trips. 2 one way fares are usually cheaper, from what I've found. Since airlines charge per leg of the trip and just combine that to come up with a one way fare, sometimes it's cheaper to use 2 different airlines.

For August 2012, we booked our return flight on American Airlines. I had miles for 3 one way tickets and we paid cash (only $117) for the 4th ticket. We're flying back to JFK, but not sure where we're leaving from. My brother, SIL, niece, and uncle are flying from BWI. And my aunt will be in West Virginia that week, so she's flying from there. If my aunt, grandmother, and cousin come, they'll either fly from Maryland with my brother or from JFK. We have a lot of options. :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Good to know. I now have 10 nights booked. I'm stopping until the 7 month mark. If we just split between SSR and THV and decide to add a couple of nights, we'll do the THV first and SSR 2 bedroom second as it will be impossible to add anymore onto the THV in about a month.

I bet! We walked from the BC to Epcot and it was amazingly close. This is our first trip back to WDW sonce buying DVC in 2009. We've been to the GCV and Disneyland 3x since buying. :rotfl2:

Great minds. I hear it's fine but I need to do a ton more research. I am expecting some headache as they are secluded but going in knowing it might take a little longer is half the battle.

Cool! :woohoo: Time for a Kayak email alert. Maybe I'll wait until after the holidays to start looking. I have my Hanuukah/Christmas game plan solid and it might cost a little more than originally planned.

That's great. Stay away from LaGuardia. :scared: Michael has PTSD from his last flight out of there. I did end up getting him a $200 credit and then a transferable $100 credit. :dance3: We might use it for a quickie adults-only Feb trip to Vehas.

YAYYYYYY!!!!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I'm so excited girl! I need a little Disneyland fix!

That makes sense. You'lll definitely be able to add on nights at SSR.

Isn't DVC the best? I love being able to plan trips that don't involve standard, cramped hotel rooms.

If transportation at THV takes a little longer than the rest of the resorts, I would definitely do that at the beginning of your stay when you have more energy. But with a little patience, I'm sure it's fine. Plus, you don't have strollers and baby supplies to drag with you.

Oh Vegas is so much fun! I have an opportunity to go to a conference in Vegas in July. I may have to go...

Best vacation investment ever! :thumbsup2 I told DH not to try and surprise me with a GCV add-on while we are there. :rolleyes1 :lmao: He told me not to worry. :rotfl:

I was thinking along the same lines but I don't want DH jonesing to go to SSR. ;)

Love Vegas. Love Craps. We go with another couple who are super fun. Such a great time.

8 days!!! That is fantastic!!

Is DL as crowded as WDW during the holidays? We're still trying to figure out if we're going for Christmas 2012.

The days leading up to Christmas are great, lowish crowds but once the local kids are out of school, it gets increasingly crowded. Christmas Day is a total nightmare as is the week leading up to NYE. :scared: Even up to and including Christmas Eve is pretty fantastic.

I am dying to try GCV. I'd love to do a small add on there and go every other year.

What section of SSR are you going to request? My grandmother, aunts, and cousin were in The Springs. It was pretty close to dining, etc. from what I remember.

I love craps too. I can get carried away. :rotfl:

I wish I could go to DLR the week before Christmas, but I won't be able to with work. Maybe I should go during spring break 2013 instead...
