Kidani Village - Who has made Ressies?

We bought in last year and will be staying at AKL for the first time 11/7 - 11/13. There will be 5 of us in a one bedroom. Two will be two and under though

We are owners at SSR, but we intend to try all the DVC Resorts. We like OKW, and have used it to stretch our points. We really enjoy SSR, being close to DTD and the grounds are excellent. BWV's we enjoyed being so close to Epcot for the F&W, and evening fireworks show.

We have had positive experiences at all resorts, and nothing really bad to speak of. All have their own charm.

We booked an October trip for Kidani village and are getting more excited about it each day. On our trip in Feb 2008 I drove over to the resort just to walk around, and of course Kidani was being constructed. I really liked AKL - reminded me of VWL with different theming.

Because we booked October, I tried to get BWV's for F&W, but a day or two were unavailable, and I dont really care to move during our stay. So, we are heading to Kidani, and I am getting more excited about it every day!

Gosh, this sounds like a carbon copy of our experience!! We like trying new resorts, too, and I am also one who refuses to do the split-stay thing. (We have a special needs child.)

We're going for Jersey Week (first week of November) and I tried for a one-bedroom, std, at BLT first b/c DH has always wanted to stay at the Contemporary. Well, no surprise, it wasn't available at seven months, and that's okay... I really wasn't expecting to get in the first year.

But we were lucky enough to get a one-bedroom, savanna view at Kidani Village and I am absolutely thrilled!!!

Cannot wait to try it!!

We are going to be at Kidani in a 2 br savanna view from 9/20 to 9/25. DH and DBil are celebrating birthdays -- 62 and 60, and it's an almost family reunion with former MIL and her fiance', and our adult kids. The kids are booked into BLT in a SV 1 br, and I just hope I can keep the surprise going for a lot longer for them.

We have a 2br standard view (savannah view wasn't available) at Kidani booked for my birthday in Oct. I find myself looking at the pics of the model every few days to help me pass the time.

We have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge in the past and loved it so it was a no brainer as a home resort choice.

But we too plan to try all the resorts. So far we've done SSR and have a trip booked in May to SSR and BCV as well as a trip in Aug to BLT.

How did you like that standard view?? We are in a 2 br. standard view Kidani Village in July. I actually had the savanna view but when I thought we were going to Vero I cancelled and was only able to book standard a week later. Thanks

We aren't staying at Kidani until Oct, and have stayed savannah view the other times we have stayed at the lodge. I am not worrying about it to much though, we will enjoy ourselves anyway...

We're going (taking my parents and my sister and her new DH) in September from the 15-26th to Kidani for the first time! I'm WL right now for our May trip but not holding my breath!

We have a Grand Villa booked for Oct. 2-7. We're bringing three other couples (all have purchased airfare already). Cannot wait to see the resort. Hopefully they have a firepit there just like the one at Jambo.

We will be home for Marathon Weekend 2010 in a Savannah view studio 1/7-1/11!!!

We also will be there for marathon weekend. It will be my first 1/2 marathon and my wife and daughters second.
