Weather: Warm, but with a chilly wind
Overnight Kate was ill again and I am pretty sure was excitement as she had been completely fine since the day we left. The timing was good though as when we woke we had no water. The hotel knew about the situation and we were told it was an Orlando wide and the authorities were fixing it. Id be interested to find out if that were true as friends of ours staying in Kissimmee had no problem.
We took off early for MGM today; straight after breakfast in the hotel, and got to the gate as one of the first. We parked in Film Goofy car lot and noted down the number. We also tied some ribbon the children had from a burst balloon to the antenna; everyone seemed to have hired little white Dodge Neons.
They let us through the gate and into the first part of the park a quarter hour earlier than opening and we picked a spot right on the rope! We werent after the major crowd pullers as such but it was fun being there as the CM talked us all into staying still as she dropped the rope to form a perfect line. Everyone behaved!

Once the music started she took a gang across to the Rock and Roller Coaster while another set of fearsome CMs took most of the other half to the Tower of Terror. Wimpy people (two families .us and one other) walked straight forward to catch the Great Movie Ride but were stopped in our tracks at the sorcerers hat by Donald Duck. So we met Donald and then went in to the ride. No queue of course.

We then followed my schedule ( ish) Saw the Voyage of the little mermaid, Playhouse Disney live! Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Show, Lunch at Back lot, watched Muppets in 3D, played in Honey I shrunk the kids playground where a CM brought Tom back to me before I even realised I had lost him , went on Star Tours, had Mickey Ice creams, saw the beauty and the beast show live on stage, watched the afternoon parade of stars and old cars, bought a few postcards, and then returned to the hotel.

Now we had to decide where to eat. I had a list of recommended places so we chose from that and tonights winner was the Outback Steakhouse, about ½ mile left out of the hotel. We arrived at 6.30 to a wait of 10-20, were allocated a pager had a drink each at the bar. Soon the pager was flashing. I hadnt realised it was happy hour so, when I ordered a cocktail with our server at 6.56, she told me I was 4 minutes still in the hour and could have two for the price of one. She offered to bring me the second when the first was finished! Now I was starting to understand what people say about good service in the USA.
After having eaten earlier far too many nibbles earlier in the room the children werent very hungry so they shared with us, which wasnt questioned at all. We started with Caesar Salad and Honey Wheat Bread, then I had Alfredo shrimp pasta and Andy the 12oz Prime rib and sides; add to that a beer and two Wallaby cocktails!. My meal was excellent, Andys was fine and the bill came to $39 plus a tip of $8. All the tips that night were going to a charity so it wasnt hard to choose between the 15% or 20% like I thought it might be on our first served meal here.
Great food with just one small drawback, while we were finishing drinks the next sitting of people stood right by us. I always find that off-putting.
We returned to the Hotel bushed (probably the Wallabies didnt help!) .
..all set for a quiet day tomorrow (not convinced Florida does quiet days, but well see)
