Kellogg Kash ?

I had received 2 certificates and I have a room booked for 2 nights in September. You actually speak to a live person when making the reservations. There were times I even called and left messages, thinking I would save them money by just leaving the info in a message. But, I was assigned the same CM and she called me back each and every time.

I am sorry that you have had the problems you have reported. I think things will get better now that you have an acknowledgement that they have received your 'stuff'. :)

I am glad to hear you got your certificates and all if going well. We have a 'quick' trip in December so I am thinking I may be able to use it for that one. We fly in on Dec. 17 and the blackout dates don't start up until later than that.

Once I get it, I will feel a whole lot better about all the Mini Wheats and Corn Flakes stuffed in my cupboard all over the place!

Do you need to buy 100 boxes of cereal to get 100 dollars in Kellogg kash? In other words, how many Kellogg dollars are on one box of cereal? :)

Thanks,
Tink

Yes, there is just 1 Kellogg's Kash dollar on each of the participating boxes. They are printed on the back of the box, so check before you buy (I almost bought some Frosted Mini Wheats that did not have them on, so I ran back and exchanged them).

My store had Kellogg's cereal on sale for $.99 a box, so I bought enough to completed my 100 certificates I needed to make the order. Now I have cereal all over the place. Our 'goal' is to have it all gone by the end of the year  .

I will exchange 4 Kellogg's Kash for 2 Kellogg's Official Gift Certificates for Limited Edition Collectible Pin (Magical Gatherings Pin). Pin Certificate expires 3/31/05.

You do get an actual certificate in the mail. Mine came certified and only took about a month to get it after I sent it in. I have not tried to use it yet.
It says on the voucher, "Disney will assign resort based on availablilty; all date choices are subject to availability; not redeemable for cash; for new reservations only; not replaceable if lost, stolen, etc.; travel must be completed on or before voucher's exp. date (which is Aug. 31, 2005).
It also says, "reservation must be booked at least 30 days in advance and the voucher must be received within 14 days of booking. Voucher is non-refundable, once the voucher is processed, only modifications to the reservation will be allowed."
After collecting all of these for so long, I would be really annoyed to find out that I couldn't stay at the value resort that I choose, or that the date I wanted to go wasn't "available".

Yeah, me too. I really want to stay at the All Star Movies (but then I think it is the most popular). We stayed at the All Star Music already and I want something new (but the sports one doesn't interest me---BUT I would take it if that was all they had).

Do you suppose they would let you use it at Pop Century since it is a value resort too? Or is it only for the All Stars?

I hope this helps when you call in they ask you to leave a first and second choice as to which hotel you want. I just received my certificate and booked our stay for Oct.(reg season) and got my first choice(allstar movies).

I am trying desperately to overcome the urge to start this project. :teeth:
If you knew then what you know now, would you decide against buying all that cereal and saving Kellogg cash?

(please say you wouldn't do it... please say you wouldn't do it)

I would not do it over again. For one, Disney has been offer discounts of $55/night at value resorts for most of the dates.

My family is sick of the cereal now (I broke down and bought a couple of boxes of another type last week just to give them a break).

I would ONLY do it if I was going to be buying all that cereal anyway (as some people have said they go through a box a day--my 10 year old twin girls don't eat that much).

I was greatly disappointed in that, after purchasing some Kash on eBay and saving up from cereal boxes, the codes came out and it ended up that I "broke even". The only way I would do it again would be if we were going at a time that I could not find a decent discount code or if we were really, really, really tight on money and want to stay on-site.

My 'status' on the Kellogg's promo site now shows that they shipped my certificate yesterday! I am starting to believe I am really going to get it this time!

I also bought some KK on ebay, and have found that it is not worth the $ that I spent on them. I have also been able to trade for some, which helps off set the $ I foolishly spent on ebay.
But, here is another reason not to start- I have noticed that the newer boxes of raisin bran in my store, do not have the KK, so I don't know if they are phasing this out? If you can get the cereal really cheap, it might be worth it, but otherwise, not.

That does seem to be happening. Remember when the Frosted Flakes had them on the box too, but that is gone now (at least here).

I got most of my boxes for $.99 each (I actually did buy 100 boxes of cereal this year to get enough for this offer--I never thought about ebay, but maybe it is best that I didn't do that).

I figured for that price ($.99/box) I was getting a good deal on cereal regardless (they had a limit of 10 boxes, so I went back over and over to the store and send my DH until I had exactly 100). I cut out all the certificates and we are still working our way through all of those boxes (that was back in June).

I would not recommend anyone start in on this 'hobby'. I just want my ceritficate since I had already started collecting them (by the time the cereal was $.99 I did already have several Kelloggs Kash dollars, so I probably only had to buy about 50-60 boxes at that time).

Thank you for all your support on this thread. I finally got my certificate, called and left the information for my reservation, got a call back letting me know I got my FIRST CHOICE!!!! I just mailed my certificate in certified mail!

So I think we are set! We are staying at the All Star Movies Resort on Dec. 17, 2004. I am thrilled this has finally worked out.

Now if we could just finish off all this cereal (my DD asked me this morning how many more boxes of Corn Flakes were left :p ).

Thanks again everyone! And good luck to all the rest of you working on this offer.

I earned two vouchers and then I had to cancel my trip before I actually used the vouchers and I don't think I'm going to be able to make it before they expire on 8/31/2005. I just listed them on ebay I hope someone can use them.

When we used our 2 nights of vouchers, we had to check out and check back in the second morning. They make the reservations individually and, although you are allowed to stay in the same room you checked into, you must check out and check back in the second day and get a new set of keys.

I'm thinking of selling our vouchers on ebay since we prefer the deluxes. I was wondering if your vouchers sold on ebay and how well you did?
Thanks!
