Kellogg Kash ?

When you call and make your reservation would you mind letting us know if they gave you a choice of resort even though they have the right to choose. I'll be looking for your post as i will be turning in 2 nights worth of kash soon.

Thanks
Melinda

I called and you get a recorded message. UGH! They want you to leave a message giving them the following information:

Your Name
Telephone Number
Certificate Numbers
Children Names & Ages
First & Second Choice of Resort
Nights Requested (Dates)

I think they might have wanted our address, too, but I was trying to wrestle with one of the envelopes and get the certificate out while I was leaving a message with all that info and I kept getting a recording telling me my time to record was running out!

The recording said someone would call me within 2 days and tell me what reservations I would have. That was the most bizarre travel arrangement I have ever worked with!

THEN....the written instructions tell you that you have to get those certificates to them by mail within 2 weeks of accepting your reservation or the reservation will be voided. So, I am not done yet.....

Wow! I almost wished I didn't even start this thing. Well they received my Kellogg Kash on June 22 (I got the certified mail card back), but I am still not in their tracking system.

I am hoping to get a reservation in December. Let us know when your reservaton is all set.

BTW, to anyone saving these, it cost me between $6 and $7 to send them in certified mail.

To anyone who has extra Kellogs Kash....

The following link

http://www.disneydollarless.com/givekids.shtml

is accepting them as donations for Give Kids the World. GKTW is an organization that provides a week of Disney magic to children with life threatening illnesses and their families.

Even a trip to Disney can't beat the high of knowing you helped bring joy to a sick child.

I got my two certificates last week. The whole process took about 2 1/2 months. It was very difficult to get information about the vouchers while it is being processed. If you want to do this start early or make a reservation first and then cancel it once the vouchers come in.

Thanks

Autumn

I certainly agree with that advice! I never dreamed it would take this long to get this reservation put together! They called back today and I was not home. They did leave a message and number for me to call them back. (DH wouldn't know what to do with that call so let them leave a message on the machine) We are on different time zones, tho', so she will probably call me back again tomorrow. I'll keep you posted......

I got a call (2 actually) from Betsy. The first time she called, I was not home and she left a detailed message. She called back again this morning and left a very detailed message telling me what info she was missing, giving me the confirmation numbers to put on my Kash Vouchers, and telling me where to send the Vouchers to. I called her back and gave her missing info, even tho' she had stated in her message that I could just send it along with the Vouchers (I just wanted to make sure everything was completed properly - I don't like surprises). She needed my children's names as well as ages.

The address she told me to send everything to was:

Disney Reservation Center
7100 Municipal Drive
Orlando, FL 32819

However, you are supposed to add the name and number of the Reservation Specialist you work with to the front of the envelope. She also reminded me twice to send it with some sort of confirmation and to treat the Vouchers as 'cash' in value.

All in all, working with the Disney personnel was very positive, but getting the Kash Voucher's was a trying experience in that it took so long to get them in the mail. I sent the Kellogg's Kash in mid-April and I am finishing up the reservation process almost into July!

mtblujeans,
I'm glad you are making progress on your reservation. I have been getting nervous!

When exactly did you send in your Kellogg's Kash? I am trying to figure out when we might be able to make our reservation. I would love to use it in September (just sent in my reservation in June), but we are going back in December and could use it then.

So what is your 'time line' from when you sent them in, to when you got your voucher, to when you got your reservation (if you don't mind sharing).

Thanks!
DJ

I sent the Kash certificates in on April 15. They received them April 19.

I received the Kash vouchers on June 18. I sent them 3 emails asking for a progress report in those 2 months.

I called them on June 28 and left message concerning reservation. They called me on June 29 & June 30 to confirm reservation. They did give me the resort I requested for a reservation in September. That is for a reservation about 6 weeks in advance.

Now I need to send the vouchers to them to finish the reservation process. I will be watching the tracking receipt to make sure of the date they receive them.

Do you still have the email address you used to check on the progress?

I keep looking at the link that was posted in this thread about checking on your status, but mine still isn't showing up. They sent back the certified mail certificate and showed it was received on June 22, but nothing in their system yet.

Thanks!
DJ

It says "maximum of 4 persons in the room" at All-Stars. Are babies in cribs included in that price? :) We are a family of 2 adults, 3 girls (the youngest will be 2 when we go). By the way, mtbluejeans, what part of Montana are you from? I'm from Bozeman.

Update: I sent the vouchers in with a confirmation. They got them and I called and left a message to verbally confirm & Betsy called me back and left a message of confirmation, too. So, our reservation for 2 free nights are completed.

I think you should ask them about the baby in room, making 3 children, but I would think that would be OK - just my personal opinion.

I'm in Kalispell. Are you in Bozeman now??

I just looked on my Kellogg's Corn Flakes box and my Eggo waffles box and neither of them say anything about Kellogg Kash. Are they just UPC codes or box tops that I need to clip?

mtbluejeans, yes I'm in Bozeman. We're heading to Kalispell on Friday to visit my parents and go to Glacier. No fires yet this year, YEA!!

They are a green certificate on the back of the box. Kinda' like mock money. I think there may be something on the top front of the box about it if they have a certificate on the back.

Oh, gosh, no fires yet but boy was it HOT today!! We have tons of 4-H stuff going on with the kids this weekend....getting ready for August. Make sure you bring lots of water to drink on the road and have a safe weekend - the Park should be beautiful and it will be cooler than the valley. :wave2:

To mermaidwannabe who asked

We had no problem with having a baby in the room as long as baby is in a crib. We are a family of 5 too...3 girls too...youngest is 2 too. :p
I told Disney so that they had record of my youngest and I requested a crib (pack & play).

Have a great time.

I looked at www.kelloggkash.com and I didn't see anywhere on the website the deal about one night's stay at a Value Resort. I only see things you can bid on. Is the offer over for the resort night stays? My family goes through tons of boxes of cereal a day and it would be very nice to extend our December trip with a Value night. Please help. princess:

Good morning!

How long did it take to save up enough of these certificates to use them for a free stay? Will we be up to our necks in cornflakes if I decide to try this? LOL!!
