Kellogg Kash ?

We saved 50 from Feb-May. Then our store put the cereal on sale for $.99 each! I bought the other 50 and have them stuffed in every cupboard I can find!

I cut them all out and sent them in last month. So far I haven't gotten any certificate, but I am still waiting.

That was what I did too! We had cereal boxes stuffed in every place that would hold it and some just on the counter. I still ended up buying some on eBay. But, it was worth it. I did not spend anywhere near $200.00 on boxes or eBay. The certificates also include tax so they are a great deal!

javaj,
Thanks for the direct link! I like being able to have something completely solid to refer to. And thanks to everyone else who posted about this awesome deal. princess:

I am so irritated at Kellogg's right now!

I mailed in 2 batches of 100 Kellogg Kash certificates each (for a total award of two night's stay) on 5/21/04 - nearly 2 months ago and haven't received anything yet!!! I mailed in 2 seperate envelopes and unfortunately, didn't use Delivery Confirmation as the grocery store where we mail from doesn't offer it. Honestly, I didn't think we'd need it as I've done many, many mail-in promotions and have always gotten the awards. Anyway, I followed the link posted here on the DIS boards to check status, Kellogg's doesn't show anything in their system regarding our awards... I am totally freaking out! I sent a message to them thru the Contact Us link on 7/9 and have gotten no response. I just sent a 2nd message... hopefully I'll hear back today! If I don't hear anything by Monday, I guess I will have to call - I just really wanted their response in writing! This whole promotion just seems very disorganized.

I hope you hear back from them. I agree, it does seem disorganized. The system doesn't seem very 'Disney' like. Usually Disney is so good about how they handle customers. You would think they would have made sure Kelloggs handled things well on their end too.

Well, I hope things work out. I am still in 'waiting' mode too.

OK, now *I* am really upset over this offer too! After paying almost $7 to send these things in certified mail, I just got them ALL back in the mail yesterday with a letter saying this offer has expired!!!!

I called them this morning and it took them 1/2 hour to even find the offer, and they looked and saw that it did not expire until NEXT year and didn't know why they were sent back. I have only been saving these things for about 4 months and I have cereal in all of my cupboards just so I could get enough to mail these in for our trip this year.

Kellogg's said someone would call me back, but this is SO disorganized. I can't believe Disney would allow themselves to be a part of something like this.

Well anyway, thanks for letting me blow off steam. At this point I am not expecting anything positive. This whole offer/promotion seems to have been handled badly.

Oh no, DJ!!! That is just terrible!!! I am sooooo sorry to hear this! How long was it between the time you mailed and the time you got them back? I wonder if mine are sitting in limbo somewhere? :sad2:

I think it has been about 6 weeks since I mailed them. They really don't seem to know what is going on. I am suppose to get a call back in the next couple of days.

I am so sorry to hear about the way this promotion is being handled! I am kinda' bummed about all the hoops I jumped through to get this stuff all taken care of and now there is a discount code out for September that is probably comparable to what I spent on the KK! *Sigh*

You might want to consider paying for the value resort this time and sending your KK back in but without the urgency of needing them this year - if you can use them next year. The certificates you get back are good through next year (if you can get them to send them to you *sigh*)

Well we aren't needing ours until January... we were hoping to spend a day at WDW after our cruise. Even if mine come back, I'd just like to hear SOMETHING! This is really ridiculous... tomorrow it will be 2 months since I mailed them in! :earseek:

Keep us posted, DJ!

Yes, those new codes for September are nice! I just booked CBR for our 1 night after the cruise before we fly home.

If I don't get the certificate for our December trip, we are just going to stay at an offsite hotel for the 1 night we needed (the first night we arrive into Orlando) before we move to Boardwalk.

I don't think we are going to WDW next year (at least at this time we don't have a trip planned), so I wouldn't need it next year. It is really the principle of the thing. We like the cereal and I did get it for $.99 a box (of course buying it all at once was and still is a pain since they are stuffed all over in my kitchen cupboards).

I just wish I hadn't started this thing, for now on I will not do promotions like this. They are too frustrating. I don't usually even look at them, but 'Walt Disney World Resort' did catch my eye.

I am VERY excited about the new September codes. We have never stayed at CBR before (and we have stayed at the All Stars), so it will be a fun new adventure for us. With tax, our resort can to $95 for 1 night (the value resorts would be about $30+ dollars less, but it is only 1 night).

Oops - I didn't, mtblujeans! Just read it now though... thanks so much for your help! I will keep you posted! ;)

I know what you mean. We had rooms booked at CSR for the conference my husband is attending. The conference rate was $99 + tax. I cancelled that rate last night and booked the code rate. I had thought the 2 nights at the value resort would really help, but, now that the codes are out, I think I am breaking even - and there was alot of steps to getting the KK certificates. I wish now I had not used them.

Well, I am now REALLY frustrated with my situation!!! Last Wednesday, I hit the 2 month mark so it's now been nearly 10 weeks since I mailed off my 2 batches of 100 Kellogg Kash each. I wrote to Kellogg's twice thru the contact form on the website... never got a response at all!!! Using a direct email addy to someone handling this promotion (exact title: Asst. Manager, Communications - Consumer Affairs Department) that I received from a great DIS member, I got a response on 7/20 that read:

"Thank you for your e-mail message. In order to provide an appropriate
response, we need to do some further research. We apologize for the
delay. I will get back to you in 2-3 business days."

2-3 business days??? Today was a week and I haven't heard anything whatsoever!!! :(

I totally understand how you feel. I am still very upset over this promotion and all the time and money I put into it (although, we will eat the cereal--but when it is gone, we are NOT buying Kellogg's cereal anymore).

If they did not want to do this promotion they should never have put it out on the boxes. I can't believe Disney would allow themselves to be a part of all of this.

I hope you are able to get your situation resolved.
DJ

Has anyone had any further luck with this promotion? After a couple of calls (and a promise that I would get a call back, which I never got), I got someone who said it was mistake that they sent my certificates back, that the P.O. Box has been mistakenly closed for a period of time, and that I should send my certificates back in to them.

I didn't want to do it at first because I already spent close to $7 sending in the first time, and now again. I will be SO mad if they send them back again.

DJ

I guess no one else has moved forward on this yet? Well, as I mentioned, I mailed mine back and this time it is looking better. When I checked the status website at:

http://www.kelloggs.com/us/promostat/index.shtml

I am actually there (before, I never was in the system). It says my order is 'in process' and it list 1 Disney Resort Certificate. SOOOO maybe it will actually come this time.

Has anyone else gotten theirs or heard from them. From what I was told on the phone, there had been a problem with the PO Box number and now it should be OK (I hope).

Anyone else have a room booked with this offer?
Thanks!
DJ
