We are big steak eaters, as well we like most chicken dishes. We have 3 kids dining with us for these nights: a 7 year old who is good as gold, a 2 year old and a 3 year old (all boys). Please tell us what ressies to delete and which 2 to keep. Dont worry we are doing character meals other days, just trying to figure these restaurant reservations out.

5pm dining: Coral Reefe or Ohana or Chefs de france or Teppan Edo

can we request to sit with families with small children at the japanese restaurant, I wouldnt want to be loud and ruin people's dining experience as these boys can be loud and wiggly.

Keep Ohana and Teppan Edo!!! GREAT food, great atmosphere, and great service! :thumbsup2

Coral Reef and Les Chefs are great too, but if I had the choice, I would keep Ohana and Teppan Edo. :) IMO..

WOW! This is a hard one.

2 or our very favorites are O'hana and Teppan Edo.

  • We eat at O'hana every trip. Very kid friendly for kids of all ages and it is extra yummy! So I would definitely choose this one for sure.
  • Last year we experienced Teppan Edo and it was delicious. Not so sure it is really the best option for the little ones. The tables seat 8, not sure if you can request but you can try. If you choose this one, you won't be sorry.
  • Last time we ate at Coral Reef was 4 years ago, bad experience so haven't been back but have read some great revues lately so may try it again. We do love the atmosphere.
  • Chef de France is delicious but I would recommend lunch instead of dinner and hope that Remmy comes to visit your table.

I am going to say Ohana and Les Chefs de France! We too are big steak eaters and LOVE LOVE LOVE the filet at Les Chefs but you have to eat there for dinner. (fyi... Remy comes around at dinner time too) :thumbsup2

I would def NOT to Coral Reef... only one steak on that menu and last time... it was awful!

But yea... my vote is Ohana and Les Chefs! :goodvibes

I'd keep OHana and Teppan Edo. Our girls really loved both of those meals the food as well as the experience). We've done Teppan Edo on both of our trips, neither of the trips were we sat with other families with kids and no one complained. The kids really were entertained by the chef the whole time.

We haven't ate at Chefs de France so I can't comment on that one. We did eat at Coral Reef on our trip 2 years ago, the food was okay but not good enough to keep us coming back. We were seated way past our ADR time (had to sit on the floor inside because sooo many people were waiting for the tables and there was no seating). Once we were seated, we were at the very back of the dining room and the girls had very little view of the aquarium so that didnt help to entertain them. We found the restaurant to be very dark and very loud!

I have never been to Ohana but I hated Coral Reef so I would have to go with Ohana- I have heard wonderful things!

As for Chefs vs. Teppan Edo- Totally Teppan Edo!! Hands down- easy decision there!!:thumbsup2

Enjoy!!:woohoo:

I would keep 'Ohana for sure. That was a good meal, and it's fun for children.

I wasn't too impressed with Coral Reef. The appetizer was great but the entree was awful!

Les Chefs was the one Disney restaurant I will not return to. Bad food and bad service.

So I guess my 2nd vote, by default, will be Teppan Edo just because I haven't tried it.

My vote would be to keep Coral Reef and Chefs de France.

Just the atmosphere alone at the Coral Reef is enough to keep your ADR's for IMHO..... I have eaten there several times over the years and have also had a very nice meal.

Cut chefs de France and teppan edo. If you really want to go to teppan edo I would still cut chefs for sure, between coral reef and ohana both are good it's just preferance. I would cut coral reef if I really wanted teppan edo (we have eaten at all of these places and chefs and teppan edo are on our never again list and coral reef and ohana are on our every trip list)

P.s. Chefs de France was the only meal at Disney that I would say was absolutely horrible and bordering on inedible. I would rather have the chicken at cosmic rays than eat the duck at chefs de France. The wait staff also isn't that pleasant but they made sure to mention the tip area on the bill multiple times until I told him I was leaving cash since I didn't link a credit card to my key to the world

Keep Ohana.

Drop Chefs.

Between the other two - at home, do you have access to a good aquarium? To a good hibachi restaurant? I try to pick what we CAN'T get at home so if the answer is yes to one and no to the other, pick the one that's the new experience. If the answer to both is yes, which holds the boys' attention more? If the answer to both is no, pick based purely on the menus (be sure to check both the adult and kid menus).

I'd keep 'Ohana and Teppan Edo. Chefs de France is dropped only because it is better for lunch, imo.

'Ohana is definitely a keeper.

We really enjoyed Chefs, BUT my 8 year old is an adventurous eater and was itching to try escargot. She requested that we return on our next trip for more escargot!

Teppon Edo was fun, but if you have a really good local Japanese Steakhouse, be aware that they don't play with fire nearly as much as many other Japanese Steakhouses.

Coral Reef was fine. The food was good, but not memorable. The view is really fun if you have a fish lover.
