Kate's Back on Track Journal - comments welcome

Thanks so much for the recipe!!! It looks scrumptious. I'll definitely give it a try.

Thanks for the soup recipe. I wonder if it would be good without the kidney beans (although that's probably the best part!). I love them but I'm allergic. It's really not fair!

I used to get light headed all the time in college. According to the Dr it was from a lack of protein in my diet. I'm sure it was because you skipped breakfast.

You are doing great, keep it up! :yay:

Kate, I'm glad that your feeling better. Good thing that the candy & muffin helped. I guess thats just one more reason to eat breakfast. That soup recipe looks good. Thanks for posting it! :goofy:

Thanks everyone for being concerned about me!! :sunny:

Hoep you like the soup. Amy, could you substitute another kind of bean, or are you allergic to all of them? I like black beans, have never tried them in this but it might be a good alternative.

I'm officially de-toxing this week!!

No candy and no snacking after dinner at night.

I'm trying the Wendi plan with the WW points as that has always seemed to help with the weight loss in the past.
AFter one week, if all goes well, I may try a second round.

Monday Wendi target pts: 20

2 Fiber One, yogurt, and peaches

1 veggie chili
1 toast with laughing cow
1 clementine
0 large pickle

1 beans and carrots with hummus
1 cheese stick

1 small handful of fritos

8 crock pot pork, potatoes and onions
3 bread with a bit of butter
1 fudgecicle

20 pts total
80 oz. water
6 f/v
3 dairy
0 AP's (sat at work all day, and its raining now :guilty: )

Yea for you!! It is a "start over" week for a lot of us. :cheer2:

I made the Gingersnap stew in the crockpot this afternoon. It was really good! Thanks for sharing.

GREAT food plan. Not snacking at night is such a good idea....if you can stick to it!! I can usually do it when I'm at home, but when we're out with other people, I really struggle with it. Hope your de-toxing week goes well! :sunny:

Hi Kate, :wave2:

Thank you for stopping by my journal with your words of encouragement and support. :grouphug: I appreciate it! :goodvibes

You plan for the week looks like a good one. You CAN do it! :cheer2:

Have a great Tuesday! :sunny:

I wanna be on your detox - it includes Fritos! :thumbsup2

I am allergic to all the good beans - kidney, black, pinto, lima... I can eat green beans, wax beans but that's about it. I hate it!!!!!! Maybe I'll try it with no beans.

Amy, I WISH Fritos were on the plan. Seems like I can stay away from one thing (candy) but gravitate to the next 'bad' thing. Sorry about the beans. That would stink, I love beans in so many soups.

Hi toystoryduo

CJK, snacking at night is my worst habit. I'll snack on cereal, or someone will have chips sitting around etc. But did ok tonight!

CACruisin, glad you liked the soup. It is starting to get fall weather here, DD was reminding me of all the soup recipes we have that we need to be making again.

Kate, it must be something in the air since many of us are starting anew this week! Your food the past two days looks great. Glad you are feeling better, keep up the good work!

I am also with you on the nit-pick snacking in the evening. I'm sure I "sample" up to 300 calories a night... :rolleyes1

Your food looks great, you will knock yourself off that plateau soon! :wizard:

OK, so after a week of eating well (but not getting my regular exercise with all the rain we've had)

I'm actually UP on the scale. 136.8. :furious:

On the other hand, I've been at this long enough to know sometimes results follow a few weeks later. So I'm going for another week, no candy, sticking with Wendi and try to up my exercise (maybe I'll get back to the gym if the weather is nasty again)

On the other hand, it will be a hell week at work since it is the end of the month and the end of the quarter and I'll be in the office more than usual.

Here we go. :surfweb:  :joker:

Why can't we kick these 130's? We are both in the same boat, just spinning around and around, playing with the same 2-3lbs. :confused3 But you have a great outlook. Keep chugging along, and it will pay off eventually.

Keep it up! :cheer2:

Kate, were those tornadoes close to where you live? Thats scary. :scared1:

Hang in there with the weightloss! You'll be back in no time. Hopefully, the weather will clear up and you'll get in another incredible run.

Sorry that scale is not behaving Kate :(
I'm sure they will 'tip' in your favour next week :)

Kate, good for you to remember that the loss sometimes shows up a bit late! What we already know in our mind is sometimes the hardest thing to remember through all of this, as its so much easier to just react. Get through the "hell week" as best as you can. You can do it!
