Kashmir104's Couture PJ (p.1) & TR (p.28): WP/CR~1/3/09* 5/6: Highlights Video p.30

Courtney! So glad you came back!! Congratulations on the promotion - you done good girl! Good luck on finding an apartment :)

I was actually thinking about you today - I had 'You'll be in my heart' by Phil Collins on my iPod and for some reason it reminded me of you and Eric :)

I have loved your PJ so far! I am sorry for the problem with the inlaws and I hope it all works out!

Hi everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Eric and I are still getting settled into our apartment (I've been here just over 2 months and I just finished unpacking all of my clothes this past weekend!) and I'm starting to get back into the swing of things with work and getting a routine down. Having so many holidays the first 2 months of moving was great because I knew that I would be going back to CT practically every 3 weeks for Thanksgiving and Christmas. In fact, I was able to spend 13 days at home for Christmas (a mix of company holidays, personal time-off, and working remotely from the branch I was in (how cool is my boss that she let me do that!? She's the best!))

Now I'm dealing with a bit of homesickness since I won't be headed home to CT until April for my dress fitting. :sad2: It's amazing how old habits creap up on you too... i gained back 15lbs that I lost over the summer because I stopped exercising and watching what i was eating once i moved out here and then with the holidays. :headache: With less than 1-year before my wedding (never thought I'd be saying that!!!) time to get my butt in gear... now if I could get rid of this awful cold I picked up on the flight out here I'd be all set!

Now for an actual wedding update-

Due to financial constraints, we decided to limit our guest number down a bit, which is going to be hard because now a lot of friends and extended family members will not be on the list. It makes me sad and I hope I don't disappoint anyone, but hopefully they will understand since we are paying for it all ourselves.

We also told Eric's parents about our Disney wedding. They didn't really say much, so I guess no new is good news as the saying goes. :confused3

Right now I'm working with Kristi to reserve a suite for the ladies in the bridal party. I thought it was be fun for all us girls to spend the night together the night before (like a giant sleepover!) and then we'll have a room to stay in for the next day to get ready. :thumbsup2 Then the bridesmaids will move into different rooms for the night of the wedding and Eric and I can spend our first night together there. Also, Eric and I will start working with Kristi on the save-the-dates soon! I can't believe they will be sent out in about a month or so! Crazy huh!!!

Best of all, we booked our next Disney World vacation! Eric and I are meeting my parents and sister down there the 3rd week in July for our planning sessions. Let the countdown begin!!! :woohoo:

Everyone keeps telling me that the next year will fly by and once we really start on the wedding plans I think I will have the distraction I need to get over being homesick. Getting over this stupid cold and back into my diet and exercise routine will help as well because I will feel a little better about myself. Things are looking up and I have plenty to look forward to, even though I'm not on the East Coast anymore.

Sorry again for such a long delay in writing! I hope you all will continue to stick with me... Your support and well-wishes has meant a lot to me over the last year. I promise I'll have more to update soon as plans are starting to unfold slowly but surely!

I'm glad to see you around again!

I know homesickness is hard but luckily you will soon have wedding planning to help ease the transition.

At least no words from the parents is better than a scene. :grouphug:

Hi Courtney! How are you working the suite for your bridesmaids? Do they have a suite with a lot of beds, or do you only have a few bridesmaids?

I reserved a one bedroom villa for the exact same reason... but now I have 6 girls staying the night instead of just my 3 bridesmaids!

I thought you might like to see some recent pictures too... sorry not all of them are resized :rolleyes1

Good to see you again! :goodvibes That year really will fly by, and if you measure your next trip home in Wedding-Planning Months (a.k.a. using one of those 12-month to-do lists from the wedding magazines), it will give you a heart attack when you see how soon it is :rotfl:

I have to say, I laughed when you said your FMIL's only question about the wedding when you broke the news was "What color exactly is burnt orange?" - how did you break the news? "Hi guys! So.... we'regettingmarriedinDisneyWorldhopeyoudon'tmind. And the colors are silver and burnt orange!" :lmao:

Hi Courtney! How are you working the suite for your bridesmaids? Do they have a suite with a lot of beds, or do you only have a few bridesmaids?

I reserved a one bedroom villa for the exact same reason... but now I have 6 girls staying the night instead of just my 3 bridesmaids!

My site coordinator is helping me book the suite- it's going to be one in main building of the Grand Floridian and sleeps 8 people (1 king bed, 2 queens, and 1 queen sleeper sofa)... Kristi sent me a ton of different room plans as options from both the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary at all different prices. I would maybe contact your site coordinator or planner for help. I'm sure they have room plans/suites available for the other Disney hotels too. If you're a DVC member they have larger villas available that sleep like 10 people at different hotels! Hope this helps!

Glad to know that you move went okay. I was supposed to go home (to Berlin, CT) the weekend before Christmas, but my work was so crazy that I needed to work that weekend. Thankfully, my mom, stepfather and niece came to visit me the weekend after Christmas. I'm glad that I am only a 4 hour drive away.

I am so glad that you DF's parents didn't flip out! I can't wait to read more about your wedding plans!

so beautiful!! and diffrent and elegant. it will beoutstanding. one question is that all included i mean do you change the decor (not that i think you should) or is it just when you pick the "chic" this is what you get colors, floral, food? just woudnering
but honestly i dont think you should change anything

The location is beautiful! I may have to come stand quietly in the back just to see the transformation! ;)

Love your orange sweater. The color looks great on you.

At least you have the right attitude about no news is good news. You have enough to worry about so move on. :thumbsup2

You're back! You're back! I missed you and your plans!!

I have to say, the Wedding Pavillion looks ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS like that! Even my DBF went WOW when I showed him! I kinda saved the photos in our 'wedding' file :)

Glad the move went okay for you!

Yay! You're back! I've been waiting for updates of your planning.

One question for you - did you post somewhere about your tasting at the Contemporary and I missed it? Or maybe I only thought you were doing something like that?! I'd love to hear.

I'm so glad to hear that your new job is going so well!

I juts have to pop in here and say I really love your Ceremony look. I was wowed! Congrats on your promotion even though you had to move. I will all work out in the end:cloud9:

Oh my! I just read your PJ for the first time (from start to finish) and wow! You're so awesome, first of all. I'm kinda jealous now... I want the couture wedding. Oh well. But seriously, it's all soooo beautiful!!!! Thank you for posting all the pics and such.

And sorry about the in law drama. I'm going through crazy in law drama too. I don't know what I would do if it weren't for these boards. I mean, none of my friends really want to hear about it - and all my bridesmaids are in different states and when they call my DF is around and I can't complain about his family. You know what I mean! Anyway, good luck with your amazing wedding! I can't wait to hear more! (subbing)

The pictures of the before and after transformation of the sites are amazing! I am definitely looking forward to continuing to read about your plans.

Wow!!!! Your wedding is going to be beautiful! My SIL had burnt orange and it's a really beautiful color. She was complimented all night my the skeptics.
