Kali River Rapids! Is there a drop?

The drop is not very high at all. You can watch videos on You Tube.

Its like going down a kiddie slide. Its not very big drop and since its a water river ride its not up in the air like a roller coaster.

It's pretty mild in my opinion. The ride was designed to get soaked, not exactly as a thrill. It has a 30 ft drop versus Splash's 53 ft.

It's more like a slope than a drop. The reason it's exciting is that the raft hits the water like a wedge a kicks up a five foot splash that drops on 2-3 peoples' heads.

I don't do roller coasters and it was scary for me.

But-we rode it in November, and the water was cold-so cold I lost my breath for a moment. Of course, I was on the side that got drenched.

I should have looked at youtube videos before I rode it. Part of my anxiety was b/c I didn't know what was going to happen.

I am the biggest chicken in the world.. and I have to say its not bad at all. Actually Kinda fun for a non thrill seeker. Last year I rode BTM for the second time in my ten years going to Disney now that is a thrill ride to me my next thrill ride.. Mine Train.. lol

thanx for all the info, i had quite a scare because i got on at pirates of the carribean at disneyland last summer expecting it to be like the one at DW and it is not! 2 drops! i was totally not prepared for that!

The drop on Kali is similar to the first (longer) drop on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland.

I do not do roller coasters and I did Kali for the first time 2 yrs ago. I would do it again. I don't like the drop but I can tolerate it, just like in Pirates.

There is one drop that is mildly exciting. The rest of the ride is short, and sort of preachy. You will get a little wet by filthy splashing water. You will get soaked by filthy spraying water.

If you have to ride it, I'd make this your last ride of the day, otherwise you'll be walking around with your clothes sticking to your skin the rest of the day

This is the only attraction at WDW where the queue is better than the ride.
