Just the two of us- WDW May 09 countdown on! **UPDATE Trying to change plans AGAIN!**

This is what I found:

Well...I have been trying to figure out what we will be bringing on the plane. I saw a rolling Cars backpack that was perfect for him (and on sale for $10) that I thought would work well...and of course decided I would come back another time to get it :headache: Well I decided to search online...found this-

but its freaking $35. NO WAY.

I think I am leaning towards a rolling backpack...because I definitely want to put some activities in there for the plane. I am afraid that if I get just a normal toddler backpack it will be uncomfortable for him to wear. Although he LOVES backpacks.

Now I found this one- $14.99

and

Now that is more reasonable. I have to go to my mom's tonight to look at the luggage she has to see if its enough for us.

And to make the day more fun- here are some new pictures of my nudist.

Woohoo! I decided to count the change in my "Disney Jar" and I have $26.02 saved right now! I am finishing cleaning my pigsty of a room tonight so hopefully I find a bunch more!

What a hunk!! Rylan is such a cutie! We watch Noggin all the time too!! Is that his new train table? Emily needs something like that for her playrooom!

We always save our change for the year and cash it in before we leave for Disney! Last year we had $240!! You wouldn't believe the amount of change we found in our cars!

Haha! He is totally a flirt too...so watch out because if he meets Emily he will have her swooning :rotfl2:

My tv is constantly on Noggin- my favorite is The Upside Down Show but its not on til late :( Yep that's his new train table! My dad got it from Target, its the KidKraft Circo train table and its pretty awesome so far!

I am going to keep all this money in the jar til we go :) I upgraded to a larger jar lol I was running out of room. I am about to raid my car as well! I have only taken change out of it when I need to fill my tire with air- I am too lazy to get a patch on it haha. I think that if I fill this jar up it should be around $100 (its a spaghetti sauce jar), because right now its about 1/4 full and that's 25 haha.

OT but Rylan's birthday is in less than 3 months!! Auugghhh!!

I believe I shall be doing Mickey Mouse or Handy Manny for the theme this year. I really want to make his cake again like I did last year. Here is last year's cake. I made it from scratch and decorated it all myself!

I really wanna do Mickey Mouse but when I asked Rylan he said "Manny Manny" soooo I should probably follow the birthday boys wishes. However...Handy Manny doesn't have a pinata and I want one (MM does). I am excited because this year he will open presents and the kids attending will be a bit older...so I can make treat bags and play games!! Wahoo!

Its so sad though :( My baby is almost freakin 3 years old. The past 3 years have FLOWN by.

How cool! I've been doing something similar.....just putting loose change into a jar at work, but I haven't counted it yet. My best guess would be around $15 - $20. I hope to have enough in there to treat DD8 with a hair-braiding at the Grand Floridian!!

Sounds like your plans are coming together nicely.

Awww! Rylan is so cute! That train table is awesome. I'd love to get that for Tyson. I love the bookbags. That's a good idea to have his own bag. My favorite is Manny! The cake is just adorable. You are so talented. I can't wait to see this years cake. He and Tyson have close birthdays. Tyson's is in March.

WOW! What a great cake! You are so talented! I always buy Emily's cakes form a local bakery. They are super yummy and are always moist...drool! Last year I did cupcakes. Each one had a letter and together they spelled Happy Birthday Emily. I also had 20 with the number 2 on them. Once arranged on the table they were really cute and all the kids loved having their own cakes.

I love the backpacks too! Emily has this suitcase: http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/ty145/index.cfm?pkey=ctravel-bags|k and this bag for all of her goodies for the plane: http://disneyshopping.go.com/disney...d=-1&categoryId=36515&catalogFromSearch=10002

Tomorrow marks 4 MONTHS!!!!! Yippie!!!

Those bags are too cute!!

Woohoo 4 months (almost)!!

As I sit here and literally ignore my child who is somehow still up at midnight (ARRGGH) I have finalized restaurants I believe :)

As we all know...I can't do much else, but I have decided pretty much what I want to eat at which place and when we are going to eat. Not counting counter service, if we use it, eating out should cost a little over $400 which I don't think is too bad considering it IS Disney.

So here we go:

Breakfast

Crystal Palace
Maya Grill
Tusker House

Lunch
Le Cellier
Marrakesh
Sci-Fi

Dinner
Rose and Crown (still undecided)
Coral Reef
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic)
Maya Grill
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Fulton's Crab House (DTD)

I think that is a pretty good list. I can always add more when we are there, but I really do not want to overload ourselves with eating out for every meal. The kids menus don't have much variety and I know he would get worn out with it.

Has anyone done Mickey's Backyard BBQ? Its super expensive...$72 for us, but I think it would be fun :) If anyone else is interested in coming with us, let me know!

I wanted to do 50s Prime Time...but I am just not too sure anymore. Rylan is a pretty sensitive guy, and while I think their "acts" are hilarious, I am not sure he would get it and I wouldn't want the server to pick on him. Can anyone make me feel better about it?

I tried to talk myself into doing the DDP again, but once again stopped myself. It would cost me over $500 for Rylan and I, and I know it includes snacks and CS but I feel like that extra $100 could go towards groceries and snacks we take into the park. And again, I don't want to be tied down into eating at Disney every day to get our worth out of it. Oh well!

Waiting to pay another $100 towards my balance on Monday!

Emily is still up too! She didn't even take a nap until 8pm!! This is pretty normal for us though! She's never in bed before 11 or 12 at night and as you know by my posts, I am usually up late myself! I've tried to get us on an earlier schedule, but for whatever reason, it just doesn't work for us. No matter what time I put Emily to bed, she doesn't get up until at least 10am!

Your dining choices look yummy! I can see why you wouldn't want to do the dining plan this time around. If Rylan were under 3, it would be the way to go because the two of you could share all of your meals, but when you are paying for him, it's a different story!

My child is a night owl...and nothing I do can keep him asleep at night :(

I can:
A. Not give him a nap during the day, which makes him fall asleep on the drive home from work (I get off at 8pm), and then 50% of the time he wakes up in the middle of the night.

or

B. Give him a nap during the day and he will sleep through the night, but he is guaranteed to go to sleep between 10pm and 2am :(

I hope once I get on days at work and get off at 3 or 4 we can work out a deal :rotfl: but hes 2, so we know how well that will work!

I guess I can't complain, at least I don't have a kid that wakes up at 6am!

About the DDP...I thought about it over and over and over...and even if he wasn't going to be 3, he still probably wouldn't share my food. I would end up paying OOP for him (he's a hog). It would probably be worth it once he gets over and eats even more (like a linebacker :rotfl2: ) but I definitely think we will be okay this time around!

Oh I am ticked off...

airfare went UP.

Continental went up $30 and NWA went up $42, no more evening departures from MCO AND now all the flights have layovers!!! What the heck!!

Emily finally went to sleep about 10 min. ago! Crazy!

Keep watching the flights. They have been high lately, but NWA usually has promo fares during the middle of the week. Usually Tues or Wed! Fares are always highest on the weekends, so don't buy yet! You might want to check out farecast.com. On the first page, put in your info and when it takes you to the next page click on "7-day Low Fare Prediction" and it will tell you whether to buy or wait!

Oh yeah I am definitely not buying yet. My dad is paying for it in full, and I am paying him back minus the $200 he is paying. I was just astounded by the change! Especially the layovers because I really really want nonstop.

Oh my gosh I can't believe she just went to bed! I just checked on Rylan and he is passed out, arm around his ginormous pooh bear lol all decked out in his new Handy Manny jammies!

You have a great PTR going so far! Rylan is bound to have a great time... i completely agree with you on the DDP its not worth it for him and if you dont want to spend your time eating its not either! Hopefully the airfare goes down again! mine went up to 20 dollars! so im with you right now im hoping it goes down soon again.. have you been checking your ding alert cause southwest went down a little while ago when i was looking!:surfweb:

Okay I made a tentative schedule for parks! Of course this may change...but most of it is based on the UG's crowd predictions. Also keep in mind that we have PH on our tickets.

So, I can still add something onto the 14th if need be and just have 2 off days...but I am thinking that on those 3 days off we will travel to Tampa, see family and go to the beach!

I want to move to Florida. I don't know if I have mentioned that before. I hate the weather here and I hate the snow. I would prefer to live in a warmer climate and around beaches! Although the hurricanes have begun to scare me just a little though.

I know this is OT but oh well. I don't think it would be for another 4 or so years...I have to at least wait until I finish nursing school and probably get established for a couple years here so they pay my loans- unless FL would do that too. I don't think they would...I would assume you have to go to school in that state.

But at least in the near future we shall be moving!

Hey Kara! I just found your report and spent the past hour or so getting all caught up. I'm loving it all! I love finding other girls around my age on here - I'll be 22 in May. Rylan's SO cute! He looks just like one of my best friends when he was little, it's too funny! You're going to have such a great time this trip, especially with it being your first time. If you think you're excited now, you have no idea what you're in for. It really is non-stop fun and MAGIC! You'll head home planning another trip on the plane  I'm definitely looking forward to more updates and following you along on this trip!
