Just the two of us- WDW May 09 countdown on! **UPDATE Trying to change plans AGAIN!**

Okay, I have officially decided to change the dates. Like I said in the above post, I am now going May 9th- May 19th. I am going to fly and rent a car. I LOVE Enterprise. They always have such GREAT rates. Its only going to cost $140 to rent for 7 days!! They have a location at Disney so they can pick me up so I can get the car and stuff...I will have it the 12th-19th so I will be able to go to Land O Lakes and get off property if I want to go sight see.

Right now, Southwest is still sitting at $400 roundtrip for Ry and I. Which isn't really all that bad...but I am a cheapie and want to buy for less!

I figured that to fly down and everything is only in the end going to cost maybe $200-250 more than driving so its well worth it. I will probably ship some stuff down there a week or so before the trip so I don't have to pack it. Either that, or just buy when I get there. I am definitely taking advantage of gardengrocer.com (At least I think that's what it is) I need to call tomorrow and change my ressies!

WOW!! 10 days...that's Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I'll change your dates on our Official May thread!

Thanks!

I really think it will help with non park days...to kind of catch our breath and not feel so rushed :) I officially changed the dates today.

And paid another $50.

So my total paid is $270. $580 to go to meet my goal! I will probably pay another $50 next week (I have a check coming with about 9 hours of overtime!) and the week after another $70. Which will hopefully put me at $390 paid :) :) :)

133 days until Disney!

Time for The Biggest Loser to start again at work! They tried it this year and it didn't really pan out...but I have decided to join this year! I am pretty excited to have some encouragement from everyone at work :)

I really have no idea how much I weigh..the scale at work says 150 and the one at home is closer to 140. If its 150, I want to lose at least 15-20 lbs. Probably twenty max. If its 140 (which I doubt) I want to lose about 10 lbs. I need to work on my belly and thighs (ugh). I think that is totally doable by May! 4 months to lose 20 lbs isn't too bad! I have to get on it...I need to be able to wear my swimsuit down there...and not be embarrassed. It is really hard to get motivated but hopefully it all works out! :thumbsup2

Oh and off topic, Rylan said the FUNNIEST thing tonight. You know when they get to that almost 3 stage where they start repeating the funniest things you say or the things they hear? He is at that stage. He was upset with me tonight for some reason while we were at Meijer and he goes "Mommy, you're makin my nerves". It took me forever to realize that he meant that I was getting on his nerves:lmao: And he undestands the concept of fast and slow now. He tells me to drive faster all the time. The other day while I was driving he asked me why I wasn't driving faster and I told him I wasn't allowed to go faster. He then said "Is it because you butt hurts?" (I fell last week on my tailbone and its hurt ever since) LOL He goes "Mommy no drive faster because you butt hurts?" Man I wish I had a permanent video recorder in my car!

Thanks!

I made a payment today too! I've been paying $250 every 2 weeks so we'll be paid off when 3/25 rolls around and it won't be a big chunk out of our savings at once. It seems cheaper in my mind when I pay it gradually! :thumbsup2

haha! Yeah that's my plan. I figured...why not pay off a little at a time now that way the whole balance doesn't seem so huge 3/25! This way I should hopefully have my balance to under $800 if I meet my goal of $850! Ahh I get more excited every day! I can't wait to make a countdown calendar!

Checking out strollers!! Right now I have two flimsy umbrella strollers...they work great for mall trips...but I honestly refuse to take one to WDW with us. It would be too uncomfortable for him and there wouldn't be any drink holders or storage room. So, I am trying to find a new one!

Here are the options so far:

Suburban Safari Jogging stroller- on sale for $107.85!

Okay...and that's all I have for now :( I am going to find some more in a second. I was thinking...there are not many stroller swaps for single strollers...I wonder if I could start one...hmm...

InStep Run Around LTD jogging stroller- $95.99

And I really want this one!! But it might be out of budget unless I find a really good deal.

Jeep Liberty Limited. I like that the front wheel isn't fixed...I saw it at Meijer the other night (Ry wanted me to buy it LOL) and it has a lot of storage room underneath and it looks really roomy. But its $166 :( :(

I am also having a problem finding one that isn't going to break my back when I lift it. All of these are 30+ lbs!

We have a Maclaren and we love it because it's the only stroller we didn't kick the wheels on while walking, it reclines, it folds up like a small umbrella stroller and it's light. However, I think they are a bit pricey. Fortunatly, my Dad bought it for us for our baby shower. When I openned it at the shower, I shouted, "Yeah, our Disney stroller!", some of our guests we're like, Disney stroller? :confused3 I had registered for this stroller particularly for Disney World! I had to explain that to some of our guests that didn't know us that well!

Did you find that it had enough storage space underneath for stuff? I plan on having any souvenirs sent back to the room..but I want space for snacks and drinks.

It has enough storage for us, but it is more difficult to get to than other strollers. We don't use the under storage compartment too much, even at Disney. We have the Maclaren stroller organizer which holds everything we need. Here's the link: http://www.maclarenbaby.com/us/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=111&Itemid=503

Oh awesome! Well I found a stroller swap with the Maclaren volo and so far my dates are available...but we shall see what works out. I am nervous to do something like that when its not within a specific resort. I may buy it myself.

If you are using any buses or anything like that, get the smallest stroller you can. Trying to fold up one of those bigger things late at night and cram it on a full bus is horrible

Ugh I know...that's why the nice roomy jogging strollers are aggravating me. I know what it was like to fold up one of those bulky strollers that you buy as a combo with the carseat...and bring it onto a city bus. I think I really will go with the Maclaren Volo or a Jeep stroller. I just want him to be comfortable if he is in the stroller a lot.

I'm no Dr. Phil (Or Oprah...or anyone who knows anything) but he's gonna be so pooped out at Disney, as long as the stroller isn't made of rock or ice, he should be pretty cozy. Man alive, folding one of those up on a bus is just awful, and the worst part is if you shop and put something in there, or under the net thing, etc, then you are trying to fold it with a sleepy kid, then it won't fold because there's that darn hat you bought stuck inside, it's 11 PM and everyone is tired and things are falling all over.

It might even be worth your money to buy a big nice one but also a cheapo 20 dollar one (Have amazon ship it to your hotel so it's there when you get there) just incase the big one is too much, you have a cheap backup

:rotfl: true true! Thanks for the insight though. Like I said, I do have a cheapy here...just a normal umbrella stroller but I wanted the storage space...but I may just buy what was recommended and get the one that attaches to the back with the cup holders, etc (which is what I really want).

And wow...I just realized that DIS is about 40 minutes behind the actual time..

I am also on the market for a new digital camera for the trip and just for in general. I have a Kodak whatever it is 8.0 MP...but I HATE it. I usually have it set on 7.1 MP for the smaller picture size and that pictures always look so grainy. I used to have an HP Photosmart and it was my favorite camera...but unfortunately last year it had a drowning incident in a Sex on the Beach :lmao: As far as I know, they don't sell those anymore. Anyone have any good recommendations on a good point and shoot that isn't ridiculously expensive? Like under $200-250.

Let me just say again I am getting SO excited!!! I haven't seen my family down there in SO long (my little cousins keep thinking I am their aunt..that makes me feel so old :sad2: ) and most haven't even met Rylan.

I have a Sony Cybershot that I love. It is nice and small and takes great pics, but I think the best way to pick out a camera is to try them out. Go to Best Buy and see what you like and what feels good to you....and your wallet!

:( I did that with the one I have now, but when I upload photos to the computer they come out grainy even though they appear fine on the camera.

Hi Kara! Happy belated Christmas! Sorry I am just now catching up. DW and I have both had pneumonia and I've been taking it easy for a few days.

Sounds like your plans are moving right along. Congrats on the 10-day decision and I think you are doing a great job paying a little here and there as you go. (That's really smart - we should do that also!)

Anyway, now I'm looking forward to making our ADRs, which looks like it will be in Feb.

Alan
