We just returned from a trip to the World using the DDP. We loved it! We definitely felt like we got our money's worth. Our first night we ate at WPC and the bill was $139! We only paid $128 per day for the plan. Great deal! My 5 year old had no problems with the kids meals. He ate a lot of mac & cheese (which he proclaimed was the best!), hot dogs, and chicken nuggets for lunch. For our sit-down meals, he was quite happy with his selections and even had steak at Concourse Steakhouse. We also had a 2 year old with us. We weren't charged for a drink for him at the Concourse or at WPC. The rest of our meals were all buffets or family style. When we ate lunch at counter service places, I just ordered an extra drink for him as a snack credit and he shared with me. We had more than enough food! I had researched and planned our ADR's months ago. We never waited more than 15 minutes to be seated with the exception of the Concourse Steakhouse where we arrived 30 minutes prior to our ADR and waited 45 minutes. I know walk-ups were told an hour wait at CP and at the Concourse when we were there.

I agree with you. We just returned from a week at Disney (stayed at the Cont. Resort). Me and DH estimated what we would have spent on food (they give receipts with the price of your meal) and the total was about $1250. We only spent about $840 on the DDP. What a bargain!! All the food was great.

I wouldn't have used the extra drink as a snack credit only because I always tried to get the maximum. If wanted bottled water or a drink I would just pay OOP and save the credit for something bigger. I also used our snack credits in the hotel emporium for a 2 boxes of donuts and at the food court for fruit bowls. This made a great breakfast for our family of 6.

I will definitely use the DDP next time.

We just returned from the Contemporary and found that the DDP was great for us. The food and fun center had a great variety of items that could be used for breakfast, and we shared some of the CS breakfast because it was plenty for the four of us. We transferred to the Beach Club and found that the CS options were much better at the Contemporary. However, we did have some wonderful paninis when we rode the boat over to the Boardwalk.

That was the one thing we didn't like about the BC - the CS options.

We too just got back from Disney and we used the DDP too. We had a rather positive experience with the DDP even though the food wasn't all that great.

About the only complaint that I have with the food at Disney is the kid's menu.

Come on, how hard would it be for the hamburger joints to offer a kids' burger? This got to be rather frustrating.
