Just reserved at SSR.

I just made a May reservation at SSR. There was good availability for our 1BR Villa and I didn't even have to wait on hold for MS.

I did have the opportunity to provide a little remedial booking course for the CM who told me I couldn't reserve in May at a non-home resort yet. She told me I could reserve at my home resort 7 months ahead. She now understands that May is already well within the 7 month timeframe and that the home resort priority is actually 11 months and that I am allowed to reserve there thru January 3, 2005 as of today and at any other DVC resort thru September 3, 2004.

All is well!

Me too! I just moved our 4 extra days at BWV over to SSR for our August trip. 1BR -- no sweat, although the MS lady made it sound like I shouldn't hesitate too long... maybe it was getting low in inventory, or maybe she knew someone who wanted my 1br std view at BWV -- who knows!

So now we'll have 8 days at BWV, then 4 days at SSR. Hoping that I'll hear nothing but rave reviews from you early visitors! And I agree -- MS was amazingly unoccupied today!

Me too. Got 2 rooms at SSR before our HHI trip next August. Got through this morning, no wait time in the phone or anything.

Really excited about it. Requested a Downtown Disney view but as ususal, they noted it but did not guarantee it. Maybe in the future they will follow the new procedure of BWV.

You should be fine since, in August, only buildings 1-4 will be open and all should have a view towards DD. Buildings 5-12 will not have the same view- all of those should have a lake view.

We are going in May as well Doc, our first trip as "official" DVC'ers. I cant wait to see what it is like, just to walk the grounds, the rooms will be brand new, and hopefully things will be running smoothly.

I cant wait to watch the PI fireworks too!!

Today our friend made reservations at the 7 month window for a 2 bedroom as SSR in July. His "home" resorts are OKW, BCVs and BWVs. Our home is BCVs only.

I have reservations for the same time at the BCVs but plan to cancel them tomorrow and now I need to find my member guidebook to figure out how I can deposit MY points into HIS account so we can split this 2 bdr at SSR. I am sure it can be done, right???

I changed our June ressies from OKW to SSR this morning too! A golf weekend for DH and a pool/shopping (maybe spa if it is up and running!) weekend for me and DS. This will be our first DVC stay and we can't wait!

I booked a studio for 4 nights in September for my 12th Anniversary. We told our kids we were going to the Saratoga Springs Spa. It's good they don't know where that is.

This thread made me think...

I can hear some people now (not the quoted poster, I am sure!) who will complain that they have to spend the same amount of points for a lake view as they do for a DD view, and their villa was too far from the bus stop and restaurant amd spa.
