Just Received Post Card with Code

I actually got TWO postcards on Saturday. I didn't read the entire thread yet, but does anyone know if I can re-book my trip because we're gonna be there during the August time slot. Actually, I'll call my TA tomorrow and see. Hope it applies to Pop!!

We just got back on Friday and today we got the postcard with PIN.
There is no way I can squeeze in another trip this year but I'm having such a tough time throwing out a code for $59 a night!!

Your post made me chuckle. I totally know what you're sayin. Hope you guys can squeeze in another trip!

I think your TA should have no problem switching the rate for you.

Hi Everyone. I posted this on the resort thread by mistake! But I need help with a PIN Code

I have been reading these boards and loving all of your expertise. I have been hoping for a PIN code, but finally gave up. I had to pay for my package last week. Today I got a post card.

So, it's for 30% off, but the CM said it's a room only and I can't use it because I booked a package.

A couple of questions" 1) If I was to change to a room only reservation now, would I have to incur cancellation charges on my existing reservation?

2) It says $59 for a Value, but I am pretty sure that most of these codes are good for other resorts as well, is that true?

3) What would you do if you were me?

Shoot I think I'm going to run into this too! I need a package (for the DP). I thought we usually could make it a package.

The room only for POR with tax is $740 which is like $275 less than my AAA reservation, but we can't get the dining package! Why doesn't disney want more of my money?!?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I just kept saying to the CM, "but why doesn't Disney want more money from me?" lol

I think we actually might forgo the discount for the DDP. How's that for fuzzy disney math?

I read some previous threads and it does not look like you can stack anything. You would have to pick the room discount or the dining.

Interesting. I called and was told that it could be combined with dining, but then the quote the CM gave me seemed sort of off... Like higher than rack rate through the web site off. But I didn't catch that until after I hung up - we didn't book yet - so I'll just have to get more info when I call back.

just called to see if I had a PIN and sadly I don't I was going to ask him to check DH's name also, but he said he was checking under our household for any discounts.

I want a discount so badly!! I really feel like I can't catch a break this year. I missed out on the 40% code, missed the free dining and the free upgrade w/free dining ***stomping feet***I really want a discount too!

Cepmom, We are goig mid August and missed out on everything too! I can't believe with ALL the different options out there...40%,Free dining,Bounce back...etc we couldn't get one discount! It kills me to know that so many people around us (bounceback and UK) will be eating for free while we pay. Oh well we did free dining last year..I guess I have sour grapes!! Congrats to all who have recieved some kind of discount. I guess it is only fair to spread the magic around a little!

the Pin code is better. The pin is offering values at $59 and the AP rate is $64. Kinda stinks for us AP holders. I'm just not feeling the love from Disney right now.

Yeah, I actually told the CM that I didn't think it could be applied to a package. She thought she could. The system didn't tell her it could not, but the quote was for rack rate.

I noticed that the dates for the post cards are the same for our AP and Fl. Res dates with the same discounts.

I don't feel so bad about not getting anything from Disney ever. They can't fix my email addy no matter how many times I correct it. They put it in correct and defaults back to wrong. Most of my summer mail from fl comes to our our house here but post cards are not forwarded.

Hope everyone enjoys Disney with a discount!

No this is a person specific code. It is not available to everyone.

It's actually a really huge PIN number that is attached to your name only.

Hi guys - I just got off the phone with my TA because I got not 1 but 2 postcards in the mail so I thought I'd see what I could save, and here's what I got. SInce I'm already booked at the Pop for 5 days on a package that includes parkhopper passes, I could cancel out my existing booking, re-book at the $59 per night, lose the insurance I've already paid which is non-refundable, I'd also have to re-purchase the park-hopper passes when we got there, and all this to save under $200. Which, when the $70 non-refundable insurance is factored in, it would be a savings of just a shadow over $100. Not worth it. Now, since we're scheduled to go to the CR for 5 days on the dining plan, I'd lose the dining plan all together, and it would cost me MORE for dining out of pocket than any savings gained for re-booking with the postcard. However, when I booked the CR for the free DDP I had to pay for one night's stay in advance. I did manage to save $98 off that one night's stay using the PIN # on the postcard. So, all told, I saved $98, which they will refund by check, so IMHO there's $98 to put towards souvies, so they're getting their money back any way and I saved zip!!!
