I've read in many posts that between Xmas day through New Years is the absolute busiest. If we arrive the on the 19th, a Sunday, and depart on the 23rd, can we expect it to be as busy? Most schools are out this week as well as the next so I'm thinking it may be packed. Or do most people wait to arrive until Xmas and the day after since a lot do like to spend Xmas at home with family.

Hi- We went this year between Dec. 19 and Dec. 28 (we usually go early in Dec., so this was a departure from our norm). While the parks were busy Dec. 19 - 24, they were tolerable--- On Dec.25 , and getting progressively worse each day--- the parks were intolerably crowded (IMHO)----many reached their capacity each day-- we saw wait times at Test track of nearly 3 hours !! (Who waits in a 3 hour line?? How much can you get done in a day if you spend all that time in line?). Before Christmas, the longest line we saw was an hour - and that was during the middle of the day.

If you get to the parks at opening, and utilize fastpass, you probably won't notice the crowds too much. Enjoy- Jill

I agree with Nasmith. You might also check on the resort rates during that time frame. They will go to peak rates right around/during those dates, which is an indication of how busy Disney thinks it will be.
