Just Got A 40% Off Code

I have called several times, have 2 itineraries saved at WDW site, and we also have a Disney Visa... but NO CODE!!! Maybe I should just try to book it and see what happens. We're going during the available dates and a discount would be great.

I called WDW travel yesterday to check if there was perhaps a code attached to either my husbands name/email or my name/email... no luck, there is no code! :sad2:

I mentioned everyone getting these offers on the Disboards and ask if there was any code I might get (this should be a win/win for WDW as my one trip for 2008 would turn into two trips for 2008) but they said absolutely not!

Only those lucky ones get the codes and I don't know the reasoing behind them! :confused3 DH had the WDW Visa, and both trips to WDW were/are in his name, he has ordered the DVD, he gets email alerts... I have ordered DVC info and the WDW DVD, WDW maps, and am a Disney Rewards (DVD) member, and have email alerts OK on my account and have never booked a WDW vacation. Neither of us have received any offers really. Not long after the 911 attacks we got a postal offer for $39. a night Value stays... that is the ONLY offer we have ever received! We did receive the free upgrade (I think due to overbooking) from AS Mu to SSR last September via email (and that email rocked)! :thumbsup2

Congrats to those of you that did get the offers! :goodvibes

We have never recieved the 40% off offer either and we go all the time. It is definatly frustrating sometimes but congrats to all of those who got it. :)

congrats to everyone who received the code. Now hoping for a little pixie dust to send one my way. I called and asked if there was a code associated with either mine or my husbands name, the cm said no. oh well will try again.

My DH received a code. They had to look up the pin and it was attached to my husband but the address was different or something and it wasn't attached to my name. The CM attached it to my name as well, since I'm thinking of a girls' trip to celebrate my (cough)th birthday.:bday:

The postcard mentioned value resorts but the CM quoted me the Grand Floridian. Concierge level for 7 nights: $3,339 (vs. $5,433.75 rack rate). If I take 3 friends, that would be $835 for the week. Now if I can just get three friends to go.....

But as other posters have mentioned, you may want to call and check every individual's name in the household (including kids) to see if there is a code attached.

For those of you that received the 40% off offer. What did your email message say in the subject line and who was it from????

thank you for your help:flower3:

i just signed up for the Disney Visa today and the lady I spoke with said she didn't know about the offer and that she had only limited info.

Definitely call back and check all names listed under your address. As long as the code is associated with someone under your address you CAN use it.

I never got a pin code either......

I think they see how much money I spend......and want me paying
rack rate:lmao:

I think I have signed up for everything online. Could someone share the websites that they have signed up for?

Also, I already booked my next trip and have paid the deposit. Should I call and ask about any discounts attached to my name?

Thanks!

Okay I called and tried under my name and my DH's name and neither one of us had one. I then called and used my mom's info and she had one! So now my mom and I are going on a girls trip for my birthday! :)

There was very little availability for the week we wanted with the discounts. No mods, AKL or WL and the only value available was Pop. So we are at Pop for $59.40 a night!!! Wouldn't be my first choice, but it's cheap!

I just wanted to add the my mom does have the Disney Visa and was just in WDW this past September to add to the random distribution confusion.

What were your dates?

To those of you who called to check to see if a pin was attached to your name, what did you do? I feel a little weird cold calling ans asking them to check my name without placing a reservation.

But if my firends on the dis... tell me it's ok and a tatical way to call, I'd love it!

Awesome! Congrats!! :cool1:

I just got off the phone and directly asked if there were any discount codes attached to my name (none). But he did verify all of my data - name, address, phone number and email addy. He also asked if I had gotten a postcard with a pin so he knew what he was looking for.

Sadly, nothing.

Anyone from Texas yet with a postcard/email. I'm still holding out hope since it seems that this started in FL and is moving westward:)

Yes, I saw some people from TX early in the thread. Don't remember if they got the postcard or the email though. I'm holding on to hope that they haven't gone out to people in MN yet too!! :lmao: However, I did see someone from WI had it already...so I don't think I'm getting one, which is just sad...:sad1:

I called yesterday and started the conversation by telling the CM that I was calling to get some pricing as I was in the beginning stages of planning our trip for July. Once she verified my name, etc. in the system, I asked her if there was by chance any discount codes with my name. Unfortunately there was not! She then went on to work up a few prices for me, I thanked her, and told her I would have to take it under consideration. It was a very pleasant, no pressure conversation and she didn't mind at all that I asked about the discount code.

I just called myself to price out our trip. No code attached to my name either. I'll have to just wait for a Visa discount to hopefully come out.
