Thanks to the Board, I think we had some very good meals... One general comment --- it cost A LOT!

Mon., Nov. 25th Cape May Buffet. Enjoyed this restaurant. Seated within 5 minutes for dinner. Nice selection. All you can eat. We were starved after the long drive and it was close! (Staying at Beach Club Villas). Reasonably priced for what you got. B+

Tues., Nov. 26th Yacht Club Galley Buffet for breakfast. Totally NOT worth it. We were the first ones in the place and everything was COLD!!!!! ARG! Plus, no free OJ. (Come on, this is FL!) Selection was pretty good, but very expensive and wait staff was so so... Would NOT go again and was almost ready to complain. D

Lunch at Tomorrowland. Had very expensive burgers and chicken at the Galaxy whatever restaurant. I've heard buying a whole chicken was more economical, but couldn't get everyone to agree. C for food, D for price.

Dinner at Narcoossee. Very disappointed here. Had gone a few years ago and my hubbie really wanted to go. Explained we were pressed for time since we were doing the Fireworks Cruise. Ignored for quite a bit, seated at the first table of the restaurant... Food was so so, and VERY expensive. Never had time for dessert (and I'm dessert woman!) BAD... No excuse for the bad service. The waitress was surprised we left with no dessert. D

More in next post...

I guess I view food at WDW being par for the course for a vacation destination. I mean, it's not really any different from another vacation area - they have a captive audience so they charge what they can get away with. Were you really surprised at the costs for the meals? If so, check out wdwig.com and read the menus and prices before you leave, then maybe you won't be so shocked.

Surprised at the quality of the meals for the prices! I read the prices before I left, and we don't mind paying top prices for top quality... It's lousy quality that irks us!

Yes, Disney does have the edge since you're already there...
