Shorts? It was almost too hot for shorts!!! it was 90-92 every day, and not one drop of rain the whole week! They were expecting a "cool-down", with highs in the mid 80's !!!
My DD got to be the "big kahuna" at typhoon lagoon! It was very cool! Plus, several re-rides without getting off, birthday baloons and card from Mickey....lots of good stuff!
We, too, just got back. I was surprised at the HEAT. I was expecting cooler weather, needless to say I washed clothes every night. (I only packed one pair of shorts.)
But, I loved the lack of crowds.
We're local...live in Orlando. We were over in Epcot on Saturday to do some F&W and it was starting to get pretty crowded despite the heat. Lines were 5-6 deep for most of the booths. Temps have dropped nicely today and I'm thinking that many locals will start heading over to F&W by this weekend. If you're staying at WDW and want to do F&W avoid it like the plague on the weekends...it gets very crowded. This weekend will be worse due to the three day weekend. But the during the week it can be very enjoyable.
Hi. I used to live in FL. Love Bugs are these little black bugs (about 1/2 inch or maybe a little less long). They come out in major swarms to breed around this time of year and they are called "love bugs" because, they stay joined together for some time mating. They stick all over your car terribly and you may find them stuck in your hair. They don't sting or bite or make any noise, there are just ALOT of them.
Best,
Amy
I'm more concerned about mosquitos than love bugs?? How were they??
It's been very mosquitoey here in South FL and HOT! I was hoping to return to WDW when it cooled down a bit, but since out trip is a week away doesn't look like much chance of that happening...oh well, will pack those mister fans
