Just got back from 5 nights at the POP, just my DH, DS (15 months) and myself. First time at a value resort & we had a great time. Stayed in the 90's section right across from the computer pool, 1rst floor, room 8101. Everything is pretty close to the main hall. Very clean room & good mousekeeping. The resort is very colorful & great to walk around & take tons of pictures. Enjoyed both daytime & nightime to walk around. The lake adds a little something as well. Had no complaints about the food court. The buses were ok. We went later in the day & except for MK always found a seat which was pretty bad. The crowds were manageable but as the week went on the crowds increased. Gotta use Fast Pass. Only disappointment (& not with POP) was by noon the fast passes were gone for the big rides like TOT, Rnrc, SM etc so my advise is get there early ! But since both my son & husband are late risers we made the best of it & had a great time. I recommend the POP, even with the crowds there was always a table available to eat, rooms made up timely, friendly staff & reliable bus transportation. Also take an umbrella stroller if you have a young one that makes it much easier on the bus. Any questions I can answer fire away ! :earseek:

Are the 90's preferred rooms ? How far was the walk to the lobby ? I have a back injury, can only walk for 10 minutes and then stop rest, walk again another 10 minutes. Should I ask for this location ? And how was the noise from outside your room , what do you recommend in the food court, :Pinkbounc :bounce: We can't wait to go !! Oh and how was the parking for this building ? THANKS !!:earsboy:

Actually the 90's are the farthest section from the main courtyard. I'd say it's about a 10 minute walk if you take the scenic route but once you get there you can take short cuts. The 90's are not preferred that would be 60's. I personally wouldn't spend the $ for preferred because the sections are not as spread out as the the All-Stars but if you have back problems that may be something to consider. As to noise the 90's & 80's seemed alot quieter than the 60's. Whenever we passed by day or night the 60's section, specially the pool was full & there were lots of people coming in & out of the main bldg. That may also be a consideration for you. But there are also plenty of benches & places to sit & take a break or enjoy the view. As to noise the toilets flush really loud & you hear the people outside if they are making a lot of noise but we were pretty lucky & weren't disturbed. As to the food court the mom's dinner special was pretty good, they let you know if it's meatloaf, turkey etc. The desserts are great, specially the cheesecake. We also had some wraps that were great & we really enjoyed the frozen cokes. Have fun !!

We just came back from the POP also. Pandora is right, the distances are not very great. We were in the 70's, which was only a 1 minute walk from the "preferred" 60's.

Unfortunately, we did not have the same luck noise-wise. We were surrounded by 3-4 rooms of very inconsiderate families traveling together. They liked to pull all their chairs outside and gather at night. One night I finally had to go out in my p.j.'s and glare at them at 12:45, as they were laughing and shouting very loudly.keeping us all up. The morning before at 7:45 they were calling to each other as they left for the parks, with a woman singing "it's a Small World" very loudly. One boy had a scooter, which he rode around the square of rooms. It sounded like a jet taking off each time he came by. But none of this is the fault of the POP, which we loved!

just had to vent!
