Just back from MNSSHP-a little different this year

I may be wrong but I really do believe there is a bus from MK to the TTC. Its over by the resort busses. I could have swore I saw one after our last trip in the summer and we were smooshed on the ferry (horrid experience). The next day we took the bus to MK and when we were getting off the bus I could have swore I saw a corral for the TTC, which I said I wished I would have known about the night before. Again, I may be wrong or maybe it was just for the busy summer months (a few days after July 4th).

They did not have that bus running. I asked several times at the transportation desk right there by the resort busses. Although there was a sign that said there was a bus, it was not running last Friday.

I'm still going to buy the popcorn bucket It's too cute not to. I just wont let DD carry it around. Kids tend to bang things up quite quickly.

Don't think this was the kid's fault. I think they are either poorly made, or overly stuffed with popcorn such that it messes up the bucket. Had the same problem with mine after I ate the popcorn.

I got that mickey bucket last year. Although it is cheaper quality than the normal ones I had no issues with it. I even filled it with the heavy candy from the party last year to take home. It never split open even a year later. I put a fake votive in him and used him as a decoration at halloween last year (will this year too!)

No, not due to banging it or anything like that. The sides just don't click together...design flaw maybe. It does appear to come apart at the bottom to clean it, but I am afraid to pull it apart too hard and break it. I will try to take a picture of it when I get home from work. I used the spray nozzle in my sink to clean it, but probably won't fill it with popcorn again...maybe wrapped candy that won't get it dirty. So cute, though!!!

I was there Friday night as well and the park felt more crowded than it had all week. The lines for rides were short but everything else made up for it. We got to the park at 5 for dinner and hit the park around 6. We did one set of pictures infront of the castle, met Capn jack, rode POTC, BTMMR, and HM, saw the villians show twice and the parade and tracked down Gaston inbetween shows and the night was gone. They had tons of characters out but that park is DARK when you throw characters into non traditional spots it made it like an easter egg hunt in the dark-people where EVERYWHERE. This is our 5th party and it definately felt much more congested. If they would actually make the map more discriptive to hunt down the characters it would have helped.

I got two of the buckets last year and had no problems. I just asked the CM NOT to fill it with popcorn and use a bag instead. it was no problem to do. I didn't want to figure out how to clean them. The are both just like new a year later. I was wishing for something different this year. We leave on WED. Sept 21 and will be at the party on the 27th.

Same problem with mine (the edges not coming all the way together). I just took mine apart. Pushing that section at the bottom right by the sticker helps it open up a bit easier. Don't be afraid :-)
.....No monorails=CRAZY!
Please excuse my ignorance, but why weren't the monorails running?
How did party goers get back to the Poly or the GF? :confused3

As part of the new monorails hours, the monorail closes at 10:30 on party nights. Guests of the Poly and GF can take the ferry or a bus back to their resorts. No one is very happy about this.

We were at the first party. The Dwarfs were by the Splash Treat Trail so it made it seem even more packed in that area.

We decided to to the 2nd parade and really were glad we did. We got a spot for the fireworks right in the hub (Tomorrowland side) about 15-20 minutes ahead of time, then moved up to across the castle for the Villain show (10:05?) and 10:30 parade. It worked out perfectly. We came home with a TON of candy. We only rode Splash Mountain because we had already had 2 day in MK.

i've lost count of the MNSSHP we've attended, missing them every single time:headache:...this year or bust!

Thanks for answering, Missyrose.

Add me to the unhappy list.
That's one of the stupidest ideas, EVER!

Okay, I may have missed this, but I NEED to know which side of the hub Gaston is on????? Please help!!!

Thanks for the feedback - I've been on the fence about going again this year so it's good food for thought.

I bought one of those popcorn containers last year at a cart in AK (they knocked off a little bit for getting it empty) and noticed right away that the sides didn't click together right. I went back to the CM and asked to switch it out for a different one and she refused to let me - said they were all like that (I could see them lined up in the back and some were together more than the one I got). :sad2:

Has anyone seen Timon at MNSSHP this year? I heard he was supposed to be there, just wondering if he's actually there.

Can I ask what time MK closes on MNSSHP nights? What time do you think is best to leave to catch the ferry that it wont be so busy? I hate crowds and pushy people :(

We were at Fridays party, and it was running at stop 18, we were in line for pop at 17 a bus pulled up and it said TTC
