Just back ... flew Song from JFK... any questions ?

Hi -

We're just back and I wanted to post about our Song experience for anyone that might be interested.

Flew out of JFK 6/21 on 10:25 AM flight. Security was a breeze. Started boarding about 10AM and we actually departed a few minutes early. Great flight , crew was nice, brought our own food on board but the sandwiches people bought looked pretty good. Arrived 10 min. early.

Flew home 6/28 on 1:50 PM flight. Security at Orlando was also a breeze. Again boarded early and left on time. Great flight again.
Arrived 15 min. early. JFK on a Saturday afternoon is a zoo ... but I expected that !

Overall, I was impressed. I don't like flying out of JFK but for $154 RT I think it was worth it. I did expect the seats to be bigger ... it was just like regular coach seating.

So glad to read your experience went well! I do wish Hartford would give the great rate you are getting from NY.

RT has been running about $254.00 which is too high for me to book with Song right now.

We always bring our own food...it's a 2 hr. flight we never use to get fed by Delta anyway just a snack and drink but it nice to know if someone wants to eat and didn't bring anything they can buy something on the plane.

Delta fares on Song came down a few days ago, when Southwest extended their dates past 10/24. For a few hours, BDL to MCO was about $171. The next AM, Southwest raised their fares to $191.50 RT and Song followed. I've had to play around with dates to get that fare, however.
