Just arrived home - loved the movie night!

We loved movie night! We decided to go over to Ft. Wilderness last Sunday evening. We were staying at SOG. My 3 year old loved toasting the marshmellows and seeing Chip and Dale. I must say that this is indeed a "very fun and relaxing night" and definitely a change of pace from the parks all day.

We had stopped for some groceries upon arrival a few days earlier and I picked up a bag of marshmellows. They sold us the toasting sticks for less than a dollar at the campfire. They also sell S'mores kits, popcorn, drinks etc.
We did not stay for the movie b/c it was alittle too scary for the small children that were in our group. We decided to leave and take bus to TTC to ride the resort monorail to show the kids the lights and castle etc for their first time at night.

We didn't have time to return to the Campground during the day, but I am sure we would have loved everything there. We decided that one day we would like to stay there.

One question--who (or how) was the singer? They were trying out some new 'talent' last month and I'm hoping they get someone good!

I am so sorry that I don't remember..... but it was a guy. Alittle slow, but got the kids excited. I do remember thinking he should be alittle louder and more upbeat for the adults in the crowd to get into it......
Nothing outstanding, but then again this is coming from me....who cannot carry a tune!!!!!
We still had a great evening.....

I was hoping that Julie would take over the full time spot. She is very talented and had been doing 2 days a week before Sundee left.

We just got home but had a great time!!!

We went to the sing-a-long twice during our trip.
Julie was the singer both nights. She was really great. She did things a little different both nights, so that was nice. My 3 year old daughter just loved it!!!

Sundee left!?!?!?!? Where did she go? We're going to FW tomorrow, I'm going to do some snooping around!!

I heard that she was taking another position due to her health. Last Christmas when we were there she had taken a nasty spill and hurt herself. She was having trouble walking stairs and such because of the injury and arthritis. I dont know where she went or how to contact her, I would have liked to stay in touch, she has done some very special things for my family and we were disappointed to hear she had moved.

at the sing-a-long. We just returned on Saturday. It was our first stay on we loved the cabins and FW. My in-laws enjoyed their stay at their camp-site, also. Although it was a really tight squeeze to park their 5th wheel. They were in loop 1100. My boys loved the golf carts (ages 2&4). Overall, a grand time!

Until she left, Sundee was Tuesday thru Satruday and Julie did Sunday and Monday. I was curious how it would all shake out, I think they had been trying out other CM once in a while before Sundee left. julie has been there as long as I can recall (1993)
No matter where we stay we always do a couple of nights at the campfire, no matter who the CM is !
