10/20

Resisted the urge to go out shopping today...DH was being a bit grouchy. I hung in there and survived. Now, I'm at the halfway point of my goal! :cheer2:

In other news, my laptop died. I knew it was coming but I had hoped it would last to the end of the summer when I could replace it. Borrowing for now until we get a plan for a new one. Annoying!!

Would like to join in. Need to reign in my spending. Doing Disney and DCL in January and need to cut an extra $700 off my spending before them to enjoy some character meals. Today is not going to go well, two kids home sick, back from the doctors used up most of my prep time today. :(

I'm sorry, I thought I posted this earlier, I hope your munchkins get well quickly!!!

2 - Spend. Got 3 tops, two work-worthy necklaces and a wooden cheese bin from Goodwill $16.43ish.
13 - Spend. Bought lunch $13.55 (will also feed me tomorrow). Need groceries this afternoon. ETA: Bought groceries, $5 in flashlights, $6 in waterproofing and a $17 ultralight tent for backpacking. $159 at the Blue Logo store.
14 - No buy! :teeth:
15 - Spend bought 6 pints of blackberries (on sale and cheaper than I thought), along with various groceries of use. $52. Returned a tent so <27>. Net of 25 spent. That is crazy good for me walking into Target. No random "oh that looks cute" or "what a nice blouse on sale." :sunny:

Ok, I'm in!! I have been having health problems and finding it too easy to order food, vs cooking. Since our Disney trip is in December, I need to save like crazy!!

8- Spent $25 to join the Landrys club.
One of the best $25 I've ever spent! Their rewards club rocks.

2 - Spend. Got 3 tops, two work-worthy necklaces and a wooden cheese bin from Goodwill $16.43ish.

16 - $229 - Lovell's Design Jewelry, which has been my go-to for jewelry for my mom (and for me) for about 15 years had a 50% off sale due to the closing of their Portland storefront (I guess they're going to online only). Sooo. . .I stocked up. . .for the next 3 years worth of presents. :) Short term spend for long term reward!
17 - (planned) $50 Dinner out, $70 groceries, $20 cake for Father's Day $27 - Lunch and Diet Cinnamon Rolls (my Friday treat for sucking it up and going to WW to weigh in.)
18 - (planned) $4 park fee for hiking
19 -$50 gift card (officially. . .unofficially, it's more like $75, but my dad doesn't need to know that - he gives me lists of books to buy for him, and I find them as cheaply as possible.) to Amazon for Dad.

So not a lot of no-buy days this week, but a LOT of days where the only things I bought were necessities. Not one day of splurges since Monday (Ordered lunch in). Yessssssssss!!!!!!!!

My card came in the mail today!! We have a RFC near us, so it will get some use!!
We live about 50 miles away from where the Landry's started, but the only ones left in our state are the original one, just off the interstate, and in NOLA. Insane. Still, we switch up who has the card when we travel and try to hit them. They are apparently invested in a Casino not to far away from us, so we get invites to see singers. (Haven't used it yet. No one yet that we have any yen to see. Still. . .) But the rewards are easy to collect, easy to use and every year you get $25 for your birthday, no qualifiers needed!

Is it even a little bit wrong that I made DH go get the cake for Father's Day so I wouldn't have to list it here? It's coming out of the same pot, for heaven's sake!

Hello neighbor!!! I'm just North of Dallas, so we have a RFC about 30 miles away, in a shopping center near the airport. I have my membership card, with $25 and a gift card with $25 and my birthday is in July, so I'm not sure if they will give me $25 this soon, but ill be golden either way!!!

I hope they send you an offer for someone you want to see soon! It would be a nice getaway!!!!

:worship: Anyone working that hard at no spend days, deserves to count this as on imho. :flower3:

Ok, I did it. NOT a no spend day. Birchwood $10, got 1500 Swagbucks, $60.64 at the gap for some shorts/shirts, for my grandmunchkins, ordered The Jungle Book, $29.99, not taken out of my account yet, but I spent it and a $25 home depot gift card for my brother for Fathers Day. Phew!! That's a LOT of spending!!!!:badpc:

@Jen and Ashwin I ordered the Birchbox because of you. Thanks so much!

DH and I went to a bike maintenance class at REI this morning. The class was free, but of course we bought some of the tools that they recommended. Spent just under $30. I told DH that it is part of his b-day gift, though I had already planned to buy him the beard trimmer he wants plus some beard oil. I have gift cards that I earned on SB set aside to buy those items. But then I also got him a digital game code on eBay for $6. So his birthday gift will be a mishmash of lots of unrelated things I know he will like.
