Quick update on last month's Fort Wilderness DVC Resale Market resale we saw...

We were notified by listing agent Andy Berry that the previously reported Fort Wilderness DVC resale contract has fallen through, and the owner has elected to retain the contract. This article has been preserved for reference regarding the originally agreed-upon sale terms and may serve as a useful point of comparison for future listings.

I had the same thing happen with him on a Riviera contract. I wonder if the owners couldn’t pay off their loan with the agreed upon sale price. That’s what we were told when ours fell through.

Entirely possible. I have to believe any Orlando-area restricted resort is well under water on a resale.

Haha yeah I’m in the waiting game for points to load too. I don’t need them for anything urgent so not in rush yet I find myself checking 2 or 3 times a day lol.

I’ve now officially moved into “what’s taking so long?” phase. We bought points for same resort same UY we already own so figured it would be relatively quick. Our title was recorded 16 July so we’re now at 3 weeks; is this timing normal with existing membership or am I at point I should follow up to see what’s going on?

New Normal. If you see your points this week, you're doing good. If next week, wouldn't be surprised. If nothing by August 15th, than follow up to see what's going on.

Has anyone with a ROFR submitted between 7/16 and 7/21 had anything back as yet? We submitted on 7/20, and as of last Thursday they seemed to be processing submissions from 7/15 so we hoped we might hear something towards end of this week. Unfortunately haven’t seen anyone post an update beyond those few with the 7/15 submission date. Realise that would be a pretty quick turnaround but I’m both an eternal optimist and terribly impatient at the same time!

Yep so we’re led to believe... In truth, we’re just hoping we get through ROFR given Disney’s buy back activity in recent times - that just feels the more uncertain part. We’ll probably feel a bit better and slightly more patient if we do

This would be our second contract. We were hoping to be able to get BRV for less per point but the banked points made this one worth it for us, and it aligns with the use year of our other contract.

The 2024 points have already been banked into 2025 and we’ve already been dreaming about how to use those, especially since we’ve already borrowed half of our 2026 points from our other contract.
