MKY - Thanks for the info on June Looks like I may now have a work conflict so we may be looking at different dates... DF wants to go for a week so in order for DS to go we'd need to during the summer - not sure that's going to happen now Need to reconsider what we can work out with our schedules.

Did we all catch something on this thread for a rough work week Ughhhhh today started with and went downhill from there

yeah i think everyone had a rough work week... friday night was meh... they dumped all the bins and i had to rush and get it all binned back in, i didnt even get to get my last break. I didnt have time..

dvc i think can pool hop at all, unless the pool is at or near capacity.. then the guests at that resort have first dibs..

Please check the sticky on the Disney Resorts forum. If you are a DVC member staying on points, you can hop with the following exceptions: YC/BC, BCV, AKV, and BLT. There are some blackout dates and restrictions for this. Hope this helps!

SAB is a no. I thought it was too loud anyway.

The pool at Jambo is nice and also at Kidani.

Hi everyone

It has been a hard week. FIL is hanging on but not doing well.

I caught some upper respiratory thing that has knock me and DD12 out of commission for the past four days or so. My ribs are killing me from all the coughing. I feel like I have done too many ab crunches.

I am not sure if it is the flu or just a respiratory virus and not sure if it really matters. No high fever, just 101. It has been so long since I had the flu, I can't remember. I usually get the flu shot but I didn't this year.

It is very cold here the past couple of days and we did get more snow. Stay warm and safe everyone.

Well, I need to go rest again.

The reason I asked about pool hopping, rather tired of the hopping crowds at poly and wondered what the situation at akl or cr was? We usually use the quiet pool at poly cause of no seating and crowds. Just gets to be too much

Candi, be care you don't have pneumonia or pleuisy. We are seeing a lot of both and they have been wicked this year. See your md and don't wait.

I don't think AKL has many issues. It's busy in the summer of course, but never seemed too much. I could always find a spot in the shade Everyone thinks "it's so far away". It's not that easy to hop on the monorail I guess and get there.
I think the BLT pool is small from what I remember of the pics...but it's been awhile since I've seen them.

Hope you feel better Candi and I hope things are going as well as they can with your FIL.

Thanks EE22 - I feel a bit better today and had just about enough energy to sweep the house.

MKY - I don't have a fever any longer, so does that mean I might be okay. My ribs hurt so bad when I cough but not when I take a deep breath. I am worried about pleuisy due to the chest pain. If I start to go down hill again I will get to the doctors. But I hate to go since I usually catch something in the waiting room.

The pool at AKV is so large, I have never noticed a crowded feeling to it. We have stayed there twice now in July of 2008 and March of 2010.

EE22, We are not planning BLT. I know blt can go to cr pool but not vice / versa. just wondering about random dvc guest. Can they hop to cr pool? I never noticed it as much there, but poly really gets the crowds. We watch people come with coolers, and bags of stuff from parking lot and take over the area on a regular basis. AKV pools do look large. With alot of chairs. But they look like alot of dvc might go there cause it is a cool pool?

Candi, you are probably right, since your feeling better and no fever. Remember, adults do NOT run as high a fever as children. So 101 I would be concerned about. If an adult is 103, they are in big trouble. Where as kids [under 5yrs] will do it for a virus. Pleurisy is an issue. But usually still hurts with a deep breath. Just take it easy, and get rest and LOTS and LOTS of fluids. Remember, march is approaching, no time to be sick. They won't let you on the boat.

Internet was down and tv even...some have lost power.
They really got it wrong again with this storm. One + though...no ice which they did say was due. I'll take snow over ice anyday.

We got both EE22. First snow, then it rained ice, now we are back to snow. The rain was freezing so it didn't melt anything. Ugh.

The COLD is coming too. -11 is too cold and that's in the forecast.

I need DISNEY!!

DS goes to FL on Sunday. I will tell him to wave to Vader...they fly out of Midway on SW!! at least I don't have to worry about luggage!

Pool hopping is not permitted during certain blackout dates, usually around busy periods. Check the DVC Member site for up-to-date information on blackout dates and other restrictions.**
