Going to work today...my foot hurts from the freezer ordeal so I know my mbts and crocs help. I was barefoot due to the water on the floor.

Candi: I posted once that I was from the Detroit area, but it was a long time ago when you first came on the thread. I lived in Mt. Clemens till I went to school in Houghton, Mi at Michigan Tech and then left the state DH and I are both from Michigan. DH is from the Soo. That black out was right around the time I was going back to school or I was back to school. It was not a happy time. I was worried about some of the same issues with the flood, no food, no gas, one bank ran out of money...not good!

I know all about the sump pump...been there done that for two winters now with our massive ice stroms.

You know...the weather here really is HORRIBLE.

Our downtown area still has no power from our local company...they are running on generators. Not good. You want to talk about infrastructure being messed up.

I also talked with the AD. The school system that lost their admin building put up portables on the field next to their football stadium where the shot and discus rings are so the throwers will have to throw at the high school several blocks away. I offered to drive the van there with our kids. They never asked anyone who used that area either...typical.

EE22, I remembered you where from michigan. Talked about going back and taking 80 east. Good luck at school! You will be ready for your new students.

I think we are ready. Suitcase weighs 45#. Bug is much better. Max was over today and we did the barber. He is soooooooooo ready. And blizzard beach is all he wanted to talk about.

Work the next 3 days, and hopefully will go fast.

Sorry I've been gone everyone. I've been having chest pains that have kept me from the site for a while The specialist is leaning towards ulcer or gallbladder. I have a test on Tuesday to determine what it is. I have to be put out for it so please send that it goes well

I made a huge dent at school, but still more to do. I'm going again tomorrow to finish up what I can. I am not sure they are done with my room so I can't move books to the floor so I can't finish tomorrow, but I'll organize my desk. I have no idea how to hook up my laptop so I'll wait till the new teacher can come and show me...youngsters are smarter with technology

I thought at first my ceiling fan was broken, but it wasn't. NO AIR and no fan would not be a good thing that's all I know. Heater is toast...what a mess they made. I think it was made during the Civil War.

Minnie - This group seems to have magical pixie dust since it has worked on some pretty tough cases for some of us. My Mom being one of them.

MKY - 3 days!!!! That everyone stays well and has a great time.

EE22 -I went to college in Sault (also pronounced Soo) Ontario which is right across the river from Sault Michigan. I use to shop over there once in a while and there was a place you could go for dinner and get some coupon for the casino. So we use to eat over there and then hit the casino.

When does school start for you?

Tomar - when will you get to go back to Disney?

School starts when it hits 100 degrees here...always happens

August 14th.

SO VERY early this year. And, we get out later than last year. People just HAD TO HAVE two weeks at Christmas. Yuck.

Never been to a casino...they are all over in Michigan and Iowa. Went to the dog races once and bet $2. Big spender

EE22- Soooooo glad that your making progress at school in setting things up for the beginning of the new year ...Im sorry about the heater though.....someone has to tell them its not the civil war era .....it`s 2008

I freaked out this morning the online gradebook we are getting was a mess!!! Kids in wrong classes. Not what I wanted with my moring coffee I am a trainer and that's on the 14th so I have to learn it by then Not sure what the issue is, but I called about it. The schedules seem to be right, but not going to the gradebook correcly. That was at 6:30 am...then went into work and did get a lot more done. Last is organizing my desk which is always fun. I have so many Disney items for my desk

EE22, your too young to retire in 11 years. Is that the year your winning the lotto? I think I would move the day up. Next year I will be at the hospital for 30 years, but I don't get to retire. You start school before we get back.

mky...Thanks, but in 12 (11 more falls) years, I'm outta there!!! If I could leave on Novemeber 4th I would but I won't get full retirement!! I told my mom I was so upset with her...you have to be 55 by July 1st and my bday is in Nov! BUMMER!! DH works one year less...I get ripped because I was only 21 when I started teaching. Not fair. I'm going to MNSSHP though my last year...what can they do...FIRE ME!! I have to work 34 years.

TP2: Don't forget to buy school supplies in all the rush of the wedding.

Anyone know anything about Air Tran? It is on the resort airline check in at WDW. Flys out of midway/ chicago. For our March trip:

American airlines =1100+
United airlines = 800+
southwest not available yet
continential = no non stop
frontier airlines = fly to denver and then try to get to orlando?
jet blue = not in chicago
us air= 800+

airtran = 336 /each?

Hmmm, something to think about. Still not sure about driving. One day its a great idea and next no so much.

Can you guys watch for AAA rates for March 12 > 28? Or any other discount out while I am gone. Still haven't booked it yet. Waiting for 09' rates.

EE22, I still like my lotto idea? Wouldn't that make our lives easier? I would like to try.

Air Tran is GREAT!! Three of my Disney addict friends fly Air Tran out of Moline. My mom flew at Christmas with Air Tran and several other trips. Excellent!

I do not know about resort check in. Might be on allears or mousesavers.

Where do we look for AAA rates? I only know ap code watching.
Fill me in and I will. I'm a fast learner and how do we contact you...are you flying us down so you know?

Lottery ticket sounds great, but we never win. DH buys them. I can't. Knowledge of probabilities won't allow myself to do this activity

EE22, glad you have good news about airtran. Mousesavers does list it as airline check in. So should be ok. Think we will wait and see how we feel about flying when we go, but it is an option. I even looked into allegiant air, but they only fly on certain days, not sure how that would work out.

AAA rates should be announced on the code board, they will be talking about it. They are due about next week. If you have the time, just leave me a voice mail. I know your going to be busy and with the kids so don't worry about it. Should not be as stressful as ap releases etc.. .

So what happened your cutting yourself with scissors? Stop that.

I have a nice "v" on my thigh now. Guess I should use safety ones!!

Alligiant is a pain for their days, but they have a good price and non stop and from the corn..there's not much. We don't fly airtran only because it's a 1.5 hour trip to that airport. My Disney Friends don't have kids at home anymore so it's easier for them to leave from there.

Okay - I posted a new countdown, but it looks weird...what did I do wrong.

MKY- Happy Birthday! Make sure you get a birthday button to wear at Disney. I have not finished unpacking and I found my Disney Magical Express departure letter and it says...Guests flying AirTrans, Alaska, Continetal, Delta, JetBlue, and Northwest will be subject to airline bag fees if checking more than one bag. These fees must be paid in advance of check-in at the desk...so I take that to mean you can check in at the resort for AirTrans.

Did you join TGM for this trip?

Retirment sounds nice but I am so far away. Most companies here do not have 30 years and out rules.

1 more day!!
What is the exact park opening time? They say 9am is it 8:30am or 9am? I don't want to get up early to find out we are late. Funny for work I am up at 5:30 or earlier and at wdw, I can barely roll out at 9am.

For united we booked early enough for 1 bag to bring each but I hope I don't need something to prove it. When we try to do the airline check in at the poly.

I am supposed to work today (now cancelled and on call) and tommorrow (but I requested the cancel ) We don't get to retire at 30 either unless I took a super early thing > and I am sure its not a good idea.

EE22: Already started the school supply shopping. Still need more but got some of the stuff for .20 each. Gotta stock up at those prices.

Ticket prices are going up August 3. Anyone else hear that? I am actually shocked. Not sure if I should buy early for next year or just wait to see if they will have a package discounted. If I buy now, you KNOW there will be a discount connected to a package.

I would bet they all go up which is a bummer.

I am not sure I need aps so I am going to get 10 day MYW tickets and upgrade them if I need to. They said at MS that I could still get the discount with DVC when I do that. So...that's what I am going to do.

You have to be so excited mky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TP2...school supplies are fast for me now...it gets better although buying another graphing calculator for DD was BIG BUCKS! Those math teachers!! I tell ya!!!
