If you can get there safely, I wouldn't cancel.
I was trying to figure out how to drive there with I-80 closed when the worst was here if we couldn't get to the airport. It's amazing how much difference here that just two days have made. The worst here hit Thursday, Friday and then Saturday was pretty stressful with the water situation.
I feel the same way...guilty, but let's think of it this way...that will impact the economy even more
seriously actually.
When we were going to perhaps cancel our track meet in Des Moines that meant not going to two more in July...that's a lot of cash that 3 hotels wouldn't get not to mention the food we'd eat while there.
So...consider that you are helping the US in another fashion. It's more difficult because it's so close this time. Diasters happen all the time and life rolls on. I always found that the worst part of the loss of a family member. Life just rolls along. I lost my father near the ending of a grading period and parents were really annoyed that my grades might not be done on time
Besides, for us, it would have been a financial loss on some things.
Hang in there!! Are you flying?

for a couple of days. I think it's all sinus/allergy. My head feels full of fluid.
I'm taking meds and getting a little bit better ... but still not quite 100%
Still I don't know what to do
18 pounds and it was $17 something to send it. Surcharge for being far from the UPS station
That was DH's only contribution to the trip...he went to UPS today...except for the cold hard cash we need
good thing the interstates opened.
Hopefully things will be looking up soon. I agree> go. As long as your house is safe, and your not needed for that (so your not worried while away). We where in WDW during 911 (for another 2 weeks, following the disaster), and I know, you are feeling "how can we do this, have a good time, etc..." when everything around your area is so bad, and so much is going on..... . It might not be your best, or fav. trip but it will be doable. Remember, your family may need this as much as you.
She is getting ready for grandma and grandpa!
So planning ahead this time.

mky...how is Vader's toe? Better I hope
Hope vader is better ...
