We are still doing okay here with water and power so far.
We have to limit sewer and water use, but my laundry was up to date before this all started earlier in the week. The news reports are wrong with only 24 feet for the Cedar River. It's up to 31 feet something and still hasn't not crested as of yet.
To let you know how high the water is...the Downtown DQ has water up to the roof of the building.
They are watching a raidroad bridge at the moment with house boats up against it that may collaspe.
Iowa City is now having major troubles and Des Moines. The University of Iowa sits all along the Iowa River.
I-80 is closed east of Iowa City and other minor road closings surrounding us. There is a 120 miles detour around it. Now that's a long way. Travel is not advised so here we are
US 30 to get out of CR is also closed so there is one route open at the moment and that's I-380.
MKY...think about evacuating a hospital
they had to last night.
