Just got off the Magic and thinking about this trip. Hoping to hear others thoughts on the itinerary with kids ages 8 and 10.

Hi, we're booked for this cruise! It will be my mom, my daughter (11), and me. We've only done the Disney Wonder, so this will be very new and different for us. We're mainly doing it because we wanted to go to Italy, but the Adventures by Disney tours are far too expensive for us. So we'll get a taste of Italy and a few other countries on this cruise.

I hope some others will be joining us!

This cruise sounds like a great itinerary (to me). We tentatively booked while we were on in October. I'm trying to convince my DD that this will not be boring. Starting to make some progress. I don't want to have to change our reservation to a different cruise. At least she is excited about being back on the Magic. She had so much fun making new friends in the kids club.

My daughter is actually excited about this cruise, but she will be 13 by the time it sails, so she's probably a bit older than your daughter. She really enjoyed making friends on the last Disney cruise we did.

I heard that the cruises later in the summer of 2011 are now suspended, so I hope that doesn't mean they will cancel our cruise as well. I'd love to go next year (2010), but the Med cruises for that year are while she's in school. I don't mind taking her out for a few days, but this will be almost 2 weeks, so that's why we're planning on 2011.

Anyway, I'm anxious to hear how the excursions turn out after folks sail in 2010 so we can get a feel for that. Maybe with that info in hand, it will be easier to get your kids excited about this cruise!

Joining in! I paid my deposit today! It'll be myself and my aunt in one cabin and our friend and her son in another! It's going to be a blast! I hope we can get a FE exchange set up, because I plan to participate!

Oh, great! At last, someone is joining us on this cruise. I thought we might be the only ones on it! We haven't done anything yet to get ready for it, except a little research on some excursions.

I'm glad to finally have another cruise to plan, look forward to, and obsess about! This will be my 3rd and my aunt's 2nd. Can't wait to have more people sign up to get to know!

I'm having a hard time believing that we get to be the ONLY ones on the ship! Where is everybody?!?!

Our family is booked on this cruise and I'm determined to keep the ressie. We had to cancel our Jun 2010 Baltic cruise due to kids sports/summer school. I already told the kids, no summer school in 2011 and we are cruising with Disney!

It will be me, DH, and DS 14, DS 12 and DD 6.

Reading all the current trip reports to get good info for our cruise next year!

hi guys!

I just got this put on hold for my parents and my brother. Have 3 days to plunk down our deposit.

We're currently assigned cabins 7512 and 7500 which are...very aft as I see them on the deck plan. My parents are in 7500 and I hope they can move them to a cabin a little farther from the very end even if it's the other side of the ship from us. My mom doesn't want too much motion....although, I don't know how rocky the Med can get...???

We paid for insurance for the first time... LOL the volcano stuff this past month has scared us into doing it.



I'm definitely not wearing my Grumpy shirt today!

Just paid the deposit so we're officially on board now! I know it's over a year away but I'm still excited. Maybe we can get enough people together to do our own tour excursions. LOL

Wow, I'm glad to see we finally have a couple more folks signed up! For a long time, we were the only ones on this thread (and maybe on the ship??!!). It will be my mom, my DD 13, and me. Even though it's still over a year away, we are really looking forward to it.

We will be heading to WDW in a couple of weeks and are definitely in the Disney spirit! I wouldn't mind sharing excursions on this cruise with some people, because I've looked at those prices and looks like we need to share!

WOOHOO! Glad to see someone else join in! Welcome! @pxlbarrel- I personally LOVE being aft- it's the best location! Only 2 decks up to the drink station and pools, and down a couple to 2 of the 3 main restaurants! And the elevators are far less crowded than the mid or forwards!

Hope you all are getting excited as we near our 1-year-to-go mark! I'm 50% paid before figuring in the price of possible excursions... Yikes! Guess I'd better work a few more hours this summer!

Oh yeah..you're right...we just need to up the stairs a couple of decks for the drinks. Woohoo. My mom is worried about the movement that we might feel being so forward but... hopefully, it won't be too bad. Or maybe we'll be upgraded. Ha!

I am excited about it and it's a pity it's still a year away because I'm itching to start planning excursions. LOL On the other hand, this year's Mediterraean cruisers should be able to give us some advice and recommendations so I'm reading their trip reports with pen in hand.

We're thinking of spending a couple of days in Barcelona before the cruise and a couple of days in London after (since all flights seem cheaper if we connect in London)....although we may actually switch that around...depending on flight schedules, hotels and priorities. LOL

We're planning to come in to Barcelona the day before so we get the chance to see the city. I'm so excited! This trip will be myself, my great aunt, and one of her friends in our room and then another friend and her (will be) 14 year old son in another room. It should be a great trip! HI guys!!! We just put in our deposits couple of days ago!!! it'll be me, DH and DS (10). We are sooo excited!!! I've been reading a lot of TRs and also bookmarking helpful sites like pre cruise hotel stay and excursions.. though i'm getting a little bit overwhelmed with all the infos... We also plan to arrive in Barcelona maybe 2 days b4 the cruise and thinking of going to Montserrat.
