June 4, 2012--North to Alaska.

This is wierd because I stayed up to do this and it wouldn't let me. It said 90 days and then kept saying 3/6...so I wait till midnight and still wouldn't let me. Today it says 87 days out? WTH?
I noticed it still said "booking starts 3/6" as well, but I was still able to get in and book activities, so who knows. I was NOT able to get to the online check-in page, so maybe there was just something weird going on last night...

I haven't booked excursions but need to today. I haven't booked before thru Disney for that, do you pay onboard? Can you still cancel? How does this work? I booked the tea for Tracy Arm day but don't know if that will work. Depends on when we get Disney Friends tea tickets.
Yes, excursion costs just get added to your onboard account, so you'll pay for them along with the rest of your account before you disembark the last day. For port excursions, I believe the policy is still that you can cancel anytime up until 3 days prior to boarding and you won't be charged anything, but once onboard, everything is non-refundable, so you can cancel, but you'll still be charged. For onboard activities, like a Palo meal, I don't think they'll charge you if you just have to move a reservation around, but I'm not positive on that, since we've never had to do it.

Does anyone know what nights are which dining themes? I still need to book Palo dinner.
I don't know if this is going to change at all since our itinerary is a bit different from last year, but if you go by last year's scheduled it was:
  • Day 1: Regular dining room menu
  • Day 2: The Golden Mickeys
  • Day 3: Regular dining room menu
  • Day 4: Taste of Alaska
  • Day 5: Regular dining room menu for dinner, Pirates IN the Caribbean dessert buffet later in the evening
  • Day 6: Captain's Gala
  • Day 7: 'Till We Meet Again

We might also be close enough at this point that we can call the cruiseline for the dining info to see if it's going to change.

Thanks! I have never had an issue moving our Palo dates around.

I would normally either book for our last night Palo or our Parrots Cay but Victoria is a late port. Has anyone heard of the times changing for Victoria?

I did call and the cm was not able to give me a schedule. She said because of weather they don't do that? Trying to decide what rotation I want to request and whether or not I should just base it on last years.

How weird, I've never heard that before! Can't imagine how weather would change the menu schedule, but who knows :confused3 It's hard to say how much things will change from last year, but it does seem like the night for the Golden Mickeys menu is relatively consistent across the Wonder cruises. It was the 2nd night for us during our MR cruise last April and it seems like that is still true for the Wonder cruises from this year too, so you'd probably be pretty safe going with that assumption if you're trying to get Triton's for formal night.

She did say the 2nd night would be formal night. She could not tell me what night was pirate night. I don't know what to do. i don't want to do Palo day 1,2, 3 for dinner, brunch and tea. I was thinking I would skip Parrots night one and do Palo but that would leave me with the above scenario. We have had Lumiere's for formal night and Animator's. We would also have Triton's for pirate night if it follows that schedule. She did say that the first night would be casual, formal, casual, casual, casual, semi formal, casual. What is everyone doing for Victoria since that port is so late 630-1030 pm? I mean do you just skip dinner and the show? That cuts it out as an option for Palo.

Ah, ok, weather and pirates night makes a bit more sense :) Although with fireworks not being part of the pirates party due to the Alaskan laws, I don't know why it would matter all that much! We booked Palo dinner for Friday night, which going by last year's schedule WAS pirate's night, but if that does end up happening, we'll just dress in our pirate garb and grab pictures with the family early.

I haven't set anything up for Victoria yet because I'm not really sure what we're going to do. I'm not super excited about any of the excursions the kids can go on too, so I'm almost tempted to stay on the ship so we can don't miss the Till We Meet Again menu - it's our way of holding on to the fun we've had on the cruise for as long as possible :goodvibes

It is North to Alska DCL June 4 2012

by the way - my husband decided that he wanted a verandah so our room number is changing.. when who knows... hopefully soon!!

Can anybody give me some ideas on a hotel close to the docks, and also where can I leave my car? I'm not familiar with Seattle. Thanks

Disney is recommending the Sheraton Seattle and another hotel - but can't remember what it was. As far as parking a car - not sure check with port - they may have parking available.

Do we have the list of who is doing the FE yet? I know what I want to make now and I want to get started. It is easier doing them assembly line. Is everyone just planning on having one delivery per cabin? I will have a couple of things per cabin but don't think I want the extra delivery time of multiple trips.

Yes, I do have a spreadsheet & have been trying to load it, but have failed.

If someone could either help me post it or let me email it to them I will do that. If you want to pm me an email address or maybe the steps to post it, I will do that. I have tried cut and paste, but I get an error message. UGH!! :headache:

Thanks to anyone who can help! :goodvibes

Also, I was wondering if we should have a cut off date for the FE. I know lots of people make their gifts and would need time to complete them. I was thinking 1 month from sail date, it that works for everyone. Should give plenty of time to make or purchase enough gifts for everyone.

That is the best I can do for now. I am so sorry that I can't post it with the lines and all right now, but I didn't want to wait any longer to put this info up here. As you can see, I still need cabin numbers for some of you. I do have names for some folks, but not all. I think that queenbee99 is the only one that I do not now have names for people in the cabin.

Thanks to all of you for your patience with me. Vicki, I did email you my spreadsheet, so if you want to post it, that would be great!!!!
