June 3, 2006 - Disney Magic Western Carribean

We have the early dinner too. We had late dinner last year and my DS was almost too tired to eat most nights. I'm sure having the early dinner, which will be closer to our normal dinner time, will help this year. :)

I have late dinner because we booked so late, but I'm going to try to switch it to early as soon as we get on board.

Are we having a DIS meet?

Would anyone be interested in doing Palo brunch with me if I can get reservations? I hate to eat alone, but I'll do it if I have to. :)

As for excursions, we are doing the Atlantis sub in Cozumel and the island tour with the turtle farm in Grand Cayman (I could have skipped this, but the boys want to see the turtles). I figure I'll take them to the butterfly conservatory in Key West on my own. Other than that, we'll probably be onboard enjoying the Mickey pool on those days.

Izza,
You are welcome to join our group at Palo brunch if you like- we are a fun loving group!

On another note- our DD (2.5 years old) fell at day care today and broke her foot- she will be put in a cast on Monday or Tuesday. Fun, fun, fun. I think we might have to get the characters to sign her cast. Has anyone had a child with a broken bone lately? Has anyone heard of a water proof cast?

Shawna

Yes, my cousin's daughter broker her leg last summer and had a swim cast put on. Se was only three at the time.

Also, we have late dinner seating and not changing. We think we will like to enjoy the show early and not have to rush to get ready for dinner.

I can't believe it is only 35 days away. :cool1: Today I am doing my final packing list (again) and buying those last gotta have things.

Thank you Shawna. If you really don't mind, I'd love to join your group. Let me know if I need to do anything.

I'm so sorry your DD got hurt. We've had our share of stitches, staples, and knocked out teeth, but I haven't had to deal with broken bones yet. I hope she heals quickly.

Hello Everyone!

It's been a long time since I've checked out this thread. It was good to see it still growing. I can't believe it's so close. We have the early seating for dinner. I will start packing here within the next week or so. Are any of you purchasing misty fans for any of your excursions? I am seriously considering this for our Tulum Ruins excursion.

Tammy

is now in a purple cast. It should only be there for three weeks, so we should have the cast off before the cruise! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Thanks for all the pixiedust:

Yeah :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Isn't it great to be young and heal so fast! I'm happy for your DD. It would be a bummer to have to go on vacation in a Hot cast.

Happy May 1st everyone! :sunny: This is that special time of year when all of us teachers start to get that glint of hope in our eyes. By the 15th the glint of hope will be a broad smile. :teeth: And by cruise time I will be in full giggle-out- loud mode! :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a great week and let's hurry this month up!

Hey everyone.. guess what.

We board the ship in EXACTLY ....... (drumroll please)

ONE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cool1: :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc pirate: :cloud9: :bounce: :woohoo: :hourglass :sail: :boat: party:

I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought the boys' pirate costumes, so that's one more thing off my list. It seems like time is going faster now that I still have so much to do. But, fast is good.

The end of the year stuff is keeping us busy. My kindergartener has a track day, a field trip to the zoo, end of the year tests, and an awards assembly in the next month. Plus, I'm waiting to hear if he's going into the G&T program next year.

I admire you teachers. I don't know how you do it.

Is everyone else getting dressed up for Pirate night?

My two teen DDs really want nothing to do with it. DH and I have Palo scheduled for that evening (even though I am going to try to change it to Thursday if possible once on board).

Not sure why.. but even though I think the party/dinner will be a blast, no one in my family has much desire to dress up for it.

I was walking around work today checking my watch about every hour or so and giving whomever happened to be walking by an update on what I will be doing (in exactly one month and 15 minutes.. we will be allowed to get into our stateroom.) I really for some reason think people started to avoid me. Strange.

:teeth:

My boys are 4 and 6, so they're understandably more excited than teenage girls would be about the whole pirate thing. :) I think I'm going to keep the costumes a surprise, send them to Shirley for their baskets.

I'm not really dressing up. I already own a black broomstick skirt and peasant blouse that will do fine.

My staff meeting got started late today, and I used that time to update everyone on what all I still have to do. I got some weird looks when I said I was going to do a test run of packing this week. (Hey, I want to make sure everything fits and see what I still need to buy.) :) Then, I made my co-workers write down their addresses for postcards.

:yay: One more month :Pinkbounc And did I get a great bargain today!
My DD7 will turn 8 on CC day, so I thought I would bring a Disney Princess T-Shirt to Guest Services for the Princesses to sign for her Birthday. I stopped in at the Disney Store at the Shopping mall here and they had a great sale going. Bought a cute princess T-shirt for $2.50 !! They had lots of styles for both boys and girls. Happy shopping and packing everyone.

I just realized that Cars will premiere on June 9th. I'm so excited. We've been looking forward to this movie for years, and now we'll get to catch the premiere onboard. (Have they ever not premiered a big movie onboard?)

:cool1: I checked our account on DCL and we were upgraded from a Cat 11 to a Cat 7. :Pinkbounc We are getting so excited.

:goodvibes
