Our tripped was planned for June 7 - 14. If general discounts don't become available we're gonna rescedule for May 31 - June 7 (5 days of our trip won't be under the block out dates).

Does all of your days have to be available to take advantage of a discount are if some of your days fall during the discount is your entire trip at the discounted rate?

Good Evening!

I'm trying to plan a June trip, but was wondering about all this "code" talk. How can I get one? Trying to get the best deal I possibly can.

Thanks. :)

There are general discount codes and codes that are sent to individuals via mailer/postcard or by calling a cast member and asking if a discount code is attached to your name once a reservation has been made.

General discount codes can be obtained directly from disney or via websites such as, mousesavers.com and allears.net (there are other sites that public valid Disney discount codes, but the two i've named are sites that I frequent and am registered to receive their newsletters.

Personal/individual codes are usually mailed to an invidual who has already vacationed at disney, registered to receive offers on their website, or currently have a reservation. The invidual code I received wasn't mailed or hasn't been received in the mail as of yet, but I took a chance and called (someone posted that they'd received a code on this site and someone said they'd called because of that tip and a code was attached to their name also so I took a chance and called and one was attached to mine).

Pin codes are numerical codes used to activate your discount. The current code I have is 15 #s long and doesn't expire until Feb. 28, 2011.

FYI - I'm fairly new to all things Disney, but I hope I have offered useful and fairly accurate information since this is my first experience and first time getting/seeing/using a code.

That's exciting!! How does that work exactly? Just call up and ask? What if you're booked through a travel agent? Could they apply that discount code? I may have to call Disney tomorrow ;)[/QUOTE]

Well, I was reading a thread on here where people were discussing a mailer they'd received giving them a code. Anyway, one of the posters wrote that they hadn't received a mailer, but took a chance and called and one happened to be attached to her name. So, I took a chance and called for myself and lo and behold one was attached to mine. I simply asked the cast member if a discount code was attached and that was it.

Yes. We used AAA for a 10% discount initially. Since we'd booked through AAA travel agent the cast member gave me the code and told me to give the code to my AAA travel agent and tell them to call and have it applied to my reservation.

I'm not sure if we'll get the 40% (deluxe villa) discount on top of the 10% or if we'll have to waive the 10%, but the travel agent can apply the disount for you.

Call and ask. I was talking to a CM the other day and asked that question assuming that it would not cover my entire trip. She said that it depends on the deal, she said some roll over to cover your entire trip and some are just for the days you are there during the days in the offer. Call and check, maybe this one will be the one that rolls over. :goodvibes

I just called and asked if we arrived on the 4th/5th would it just be one day covered under the discount or the entire stay? She said just the one day and the rest full price.

Anyone know about the Kids Play and Stay for Free deal? I think it runs through the 14th of June. I'm going to call on Monday and see how much it will help our cost!

 I couldn't apply the new discount of 35% off and deluxe villas to my existing reservation. Unfortunately, the discount doesn't apply to the Treehouse Villas. We could have gotten a 2 bedroom villa, but the number of our party exceeds the maximum capacity. Oh well :rolleyes1, at least we have the AAA discount applied already and maybe, just maybe, other discounts will become available.

I am so torn on what to do. The new discount brings prices more in line with what I am used to budgeting for, but I haven't decided whether we will go to Disney or Tennessee!

At any rate, I'm not booking anything for 6/5-6/11 until I have a better idea how many snow days we have to tack on to the end of the school year. So far so good! Bad weather has fallen on weekends and during Christmas break. We can have 5 and still leave the first weekend of June for somewhere.

Go to Disney of course :)
Any time we consider somewhere else we are afraid that we will regret it. Where else can you experience the Magic and have the amazing customer service IMHO :goodvibes

True, and we will be going to Disney again, but I really want to go to Tennessee sometime too and rent a cabin in the Smokies. Last year we decided we would do Disney every other year and someplace else in the off years. Well in 2010 we did Wisconsin Dells, and decided to do Disney in 2011 while DD is still 9. Then the Tennessee bug bit me again so...we are a house divided. DD9 and DH are rooting for Disney (DH loves it because he doesn't have to drive- he drives for a living); DD12 and I are feeling the urge to try something brand new.

Just booked a trip. The dates are June 10th to the 20th @ Beach club with a 35% discount on the hotel for all 10 nights.

I called and asked if there was a pin# associated with my name and the answer was no! With a big lump in my throat I asked if there were any other discounts and the 35% deluxe resort room rate only discount was available for us.

Please keep in mind that your mileage may vary but be sure to ask if there are any discounts available for your time period. Do not reserve using the web, MAKE the CALL. :)

I read on the boards that sometimes you may get a "no" on discounts. Perhaps they are not available for your time frame or hotel choice. Perhaps the person you are speaking with on the phone may not know of them ( I think this is unlikely ).

Just try again a few days later with a different representative and be sure to ask if there are discounts at another level of accommodations, say from Value to Moderate or at a different hotel location (Say from Pop Century to All Star Music.) The discounts available at the "higher" level of accommodation might bring you closer to what you would have paid for full rack rate at a value. Ask, ASK, ASK!!! :yay:

My best advice is to go to the Disney web site and work through the rates and know the numbers ahead of time for the hotel you are trying to stay at and the next level up. That way you'll know the numbers and perhaps it will work out that that upgrade won't cost you as much as you think, especially if they weren't offering discounts when you need to book.

So that's my story and I'm sticking with it! I calculated in advance that the 35% discount on the hotel would be the best that I would likely be able to do so I am happy with what I booked.

Good Luck with your planning! :thumbsup2

We used the Kids Play and Stay Free for our trip! We saved about $500. We haven't been since 2009 and it is going to cost us $500 more for this trip. I guess we got a really good deal then! Still I am ready to buckle down and save every extra $$ for our trip!:thumbsup2

I'm still waiting!! I am really hoping they will extend the 35% off for 1-2 more weeks. I am booked CR for the third week in June and a discount would reallly help. As it is, I changed from DxDP to DDP. I might go back to DXDP if I got a discount, or add another day or so. What do you all think the chances are of them extending the current discounts for all of June?

We booked from June 7th until the 14th and got the room discount listed on the site. When would a PIN code come out and how can I get one?

We must be going at the same time as your family.... I noticed the ticker. My husband and I also spent our honeymoon at Disney.

Kids Stay and Play does not allow for park hopper. The other late spring/early summer deal is pretty good.

Getting ready to book for our third trip in four years...this year it's 6/12 - 6/18. AAA loves me! Hoping that some codes pop soon...have a bigger party than usual and would love to do CSR but money's tight...but at least it's Disney!

hehe.

I'm with you good people hoping for a June 2011 code!
I'm curious. People who have gotten pins, do they generally run the same times as other promos? In other words, are there usually blackout dates?
Thanks so much. Haven't been to Disney in years. REAL excited to get back there!
