As you can see, there's lots of things to look at while waiting in line so the 25 minutes seemed to pass by quickly. We were soon boarding the train and on our way to search for the Yeti!

This next one is blurry but you can see that Hunter is timid in raising his hands but Lacey is full on arm raising! (they were in the seat in front of us)

I love Expedition Everest and am looking forward to riding again in May!

**Up next: Dragons and Bats and Bears Oh My! Wait, there's no bears at the Animal Kingdom. Dragons and Bats and Hidden Mickeys Oh My!

I have to take a moment to brag. My sister and her ex-husband started a very small company many many years ago and operated out of, I kid you not, a shed. Superlift Suspensions grew and grew over the years and is now known all over the world. Matchbox cars (yes THE Matchbox cars) has just produced several Superlift Suspension cars! And, they are on the cover of the January/February issue of Trucking Times. Even though my sister was bought out her ex in the divorce, I am still very proud of the family business. :thumbsup2

I am laughing at John,...acting like he is driving, but evidently he's from the UK, because he's on the wrong side! :rotfl2:

I could have sworn I congratulated you on the cruise upgrade, but maybe that was the first one. Anyway - :cool1: Yeah for an upgrade! :cool1: Sounds like a lot more room.

Great update. Wonderful pictures on EE. That last picture of you and John....seriously....you don't look like you finished a thrill ride. You don't have one hair out of place, just sitting there smiling pretty. Love it! :thumbsup2

My husband is into Jeeps and he knows all about Superlift suspensions! That's soo cool that your sister and her ex-husband started that!

Haven't worked up the courage to ride EE...I heard you go backwards for a bit...and I dont like going backwards
You guys looked like you had a blast on the ride!

Great update.

We have that puppet, too!!!

I love the photos at Everest. The colors of the mountain and the blue sky make a beautiful picture!

That is really neat news about the Superlift Suspensions. Thanks for sharing.

I love those pictures from EE! I have taken pictures from the line my last 2 trips, but none from the ride. I had planned on trying to get some this trip, so it's good to see that they can turn out so great!

Great couple of updates! I agree that they need more Park specific merchandise, I remember back in the day that if you saw something you liked but weren't sure if you wanted to buy it, you almost had to go ahead and get it right then because if you didn't you never saw it again anywhere else. Now it is likely to be all over the place.

Great EE pics, I ttok a couple while I was on it in May and my family thought I was nuts! LOL "You took pictures on THAT? :rotfl:

I am laughing at John,...acting like he is driving, but evidently he's from the UK, because he's on the wrong side! :rotfl2:

I was gonna say the same thing!!:lmao: Awesome picture!

I think EE has the best queue in Disney! So much to look at. When we rode, the wait time was 15 minutes, and I felt rushed through! I think it would be better to have a bit longer wait time.

I know we talked about a dress a while back, but it wasn't the right size. If you're interested in making custom sizes, let me know.

I have a few more fabrics that I didn't include in the fabric pics. Do you remember which dress you liked before but I didn't have the size? I may still have enough fabric to do another size dress.

Yes I would love to see pics of the fabric.

Thanks so much!

I posted pictures of the various fabrics that I have on hand. I do have a few more that I didn't get posted. I have a new Muppets fabric that would make a cute hem/band on a dress. Because I've gone on to post trip report installments, I posted the link to the fabrics in my first post.

Let me know if you see something you like or if you have any requests. I go to the fabric store often and can see if they have the color/design you may want.

Finally all caught up! LOVE the photo from Dinosaur! We always try and take crazy photos on those too when I go with my friends!

So exciting you got all those cruise upgrades! I did an inside cabin once and I swore I would never do it again! I felt like I was in a closet! So exciting! I think you will all love it!

Crazy pictures are my favorites!

I was fine with the inside cabin until I found out that I could upgrade. Then, I upgraded again. :rolleyes1

Congratulations on another upgrade on the cruise! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

LOVE all the fabrics; I can't wait to see what you made my traveling partners. :goodvibes

I looked at a stateroom with a verandah but it would be a navigator's verandah and it cost $75 more and I am not so sure it would be worth it.

I hope that the girls like their dresses! I think they turned out really well and can't wait to see pictures of the girls in them.

How cool that your hubby knows Superlift! I remember helping them answer phones back when I was a teenager and being in the small shed when they started out. Of course, that was many years ago but they are still going strong. I've been watching for the Matchbox Superlift truck in our local toy stores but haven't found them yet. I've been told they sell out fast. Looks like I am going to have to hit up my ex bro-in-law for one.

I get a bit creeped out when we go backwards on Expedition Everest but not enough to stop me from riding.;)

I could have sworn I congratulated you on the cruise upgrade, but maybe that was the first one. Anyway - :cool1: Yeah for an upgrade! :cool1: Sounds like a lot more room.

I am super excited about upgrading the stateroom. I didn't choose my stateroom location but instead chose the "guarantee" room category. I was told by Disney Cruise Line that I our room could never be any smaller/downgraded but, should they need to, we could actually be upgraded!

Honey, I was trying my best to look composed after riding the train up and down and around Expedition Everest. Thank goodness, I had a hairstyle that was supposed to look messy. :rotfl:

I am laughing at John,...acting like he is driving, but evidently he's from the UK, because he's on the wrong side! :rotfl2:

John was just excited to be driving! He normally doesn't do much driving when we are all together 'cause he scares me to death. He likes to look around when he drives and I'm not talking about looking around at the street/road/highway. :scared1:

I was gonna say the same thing!!:lmao: Awesome picture!

I think EE has the best queue in Disney! So much to look at. When we rode, the wait time was 15 minutes, and I felt rushed through! I think it would be better to have a bit longer wait time.

I didn't mention that John was British? :lmao:

We usually use Fastpass for Expedition Everest and don't have time to look at all the queue details either.

Great couple of updates! I agree that they need more Park specific merchandise, I remember back in the day that if you saw something you liked but weren't sure if you wanted to buy it, you almost had to go ahead and get it right then because if you didn't you never saw it again anywhere else. Great EE pics, I ttok a couple while I was on it in May and my family thought I was nuts! LOL "You took pictures on THAT? :rotfl:

I remember those days when, like you said, you bought something when you saw it because that may be the only time you saw it. Ahhh those were the days.

I certainly don't think you're nuts for taking Expedition Everest.....that would mean I was nuts. :rotfl:

I love those pictures from EE! I have taken pictures from the line my last 2 trips, but none from the ride. I had planned on trying to get some this trip, so it's good to see that they can turn out so great!

I have some pictures that I took that were totally messed up but I had a few that turned out okay.

Great update.

We have that puppet, too!!!

I love the photos at Everest. The colors of the mountain and the blue sky make a beautiful picture!

That is really neat news about the Superlift Suspensions. Thanks for sharing.

It doesn't surprise me that ya'll have that puppet 'cause of the dino lover in your family.

I didn't have any idea if the pictures would turn out on Expedition Everest and I'm glad that I tried.

We are still on very good terms (and my sister doesn't mind) with my ex-bro-in-law because his daugther and Lacey are just months apart. Hunter also goes with my niece to his house and goes fishing and watches football with them sometimes. It's nice to see that his and my sister's hard work turned out so well.

I think I did replies to everybody's posts. I'm so tired I could fall asleep as I am typing but I still need to finish up a set of backsacks. If any of you are interested in the dresses and the fabrics that I have on hand, I've posted the links in the first post. Just shoot me a p.m. and we'll work out the details. Hopefully, I can come back tomorrow and post another installment!

Good morning sunshines! I hope you are all doing great this fine morning! I've sent my boss off to court so I have a little time in which to write another installment. I have enough pictures uploaded that I can finish up our Animal Kingdom day if I get busy with it........

.......so let's get busy with it shall we!

Once we left Expedition Everest, Hunter and I wanted to walk the Maharajah Jungle Trek but Lacey and Hunter did not so they told us they'd sit somewhere shady and people watch. Whenever I have someone waiting on me like that, I feel somewhat like I need to hurry along a bit because I know they are waiting on me to finish up. So, we picked up the pace of our walk and soon saw the dragon to which I referred earlier....komodo dragon that is:

100_1686.jpg

We walked on to the bat viewing area and were able to see quite a few bats awake and stretching their wings. You can see that there was a castmember in there with them and another castmember told us that she was also doing a routine check-up on them:

100_1691.jpg

100_1692.jpg

100_1694.jpg

This one is a male obviously!

100_1695.jpg

After hanging around with the bats for a while (oh I crack myself up :lmao:), we continued on towards where the tiger enclosures are. On a hot day like today, I was doubtful we'd see much of them since they are normally lying against a wall in the shade or out of sight under shrubbery. Luckily, one was out where we could see it:

100_1697.jpg

100_1698.jpg

****Photobucket or the Dis or both is frozen. Let me see if I can fix the problem.

We continued on so that the others behind and beside us could take a peak at the tigers. Hunter stopped to take say his annual prayer under the Animal Kingdom prayer tree:

100_1699.jpg

and another annual picture beside the hidden Mickey. I have pictures of him there when he was about the same height as the Mickey.

100_1700.jpg

Another hidden Mickey:

100_1701.jpg

You can see the animals in the back lefthand corner of this picture:

100_1702.jpg

More flags just because I like the way they look:

100_1703.jpg

Hidden Mickey.....just below my right shoulder and it's upside down:

100_1704.jpg

From the other side of the tiger enclosure, we could see one pacing back and forth in front of the windows:

100_1705.jpg

100_1706.jpg

100_1707.jpg

After watching for a few minutes, we made our way to the aviary:

100_1708.jpg

100_1710.jpg

Hunter thought he'd see if he could lift this cart but it wouldn't budge:

100_1711.jpg

We finished up the trail and called Lacey to see where they were and we spotted them almost immediately:

100_1712.jpg

We had a dinner ADR that evening and we wanted to get back to the resort to clean up before going. There was another showing of Festival of the Lion King but decided to skip it since we would be crunched for time to make it to the ADR. Pictures as we walked:

100_1713.jpg

100_1714.jpg

There are all sorts of little animals living in The Oasis and I like to see what sort of creatures we can find. This little rascal was just coming out from the bushes:

100_1715.jpg

100_1717.jpg

100_1718.jpg

I had no idea what he/she was so I took a picture of the sign there in the enclosure:

100_1719.jpg

**Continued in next post

Just as we were at the end of the Oasis, we saw this beautiful pink headless bird and I just had to stop and take pictures:

100_1720.jpg

SANY6321.jpg

He wasn't really headless silly!

SANY6323.jpg

The white one was the headless one and he was one legged at that!

SANY6326.jpg

SANY6327.jpg

Seriously, these birds were beautiful and they made the biggest nests I had ever seen:

SANY6330.jpg

SANY6331.jpg

I was surprised that the nests were so close to the edge of the enclosure and not hidden amongst the trees and foliage:

SANY6332.jpg

SANY6333.jpg

SANY6334.jpg

SANY6335.jpg

And that was it....our what day?

SANY6336.jpg

Oh yeah, our Animal Kingdom day!

SANY6338.jpg

***Up next: Oh man, this food's good and hey "Are those fireworks?"

Never know what I'm going to get with one of your posts. Today it was pretty kitties, headless birds and bat porn!

GREAT PICTURES!!!

Thanks for all the fabric pictures. I will check with my sister-in-law and get back with you on what we want. How soon do you need our order? Our trip is at the end of May.

Lovely pics, as usual. :thumbsup2

Thank You!

Never know what I'm going to get with one of your posts. Today it was pretty kitties, headless birds and bat porn!

:lmao: I had never thought about it that way. :rotfl:

Thanks for all the fabric pictures. I will check with my sister-in-law and get back with you on what we want. How soon do you need our order? Our trip is at the end of May.

You are welcome! I do have some really cute dark blue Muppet fabric that would make a hem/band on a dress. I may go by the fabric store this weekend as well and if I do and buy more fabric, I'll post them here. Most times, I can get the dresses cut out and sewn up within a week. It all depends on what day I start them and what we have going on at the home front.

Hi Lisa!!! Great update!!! I love walking along looking at the animals! We live about 10 minutes from the Philadelphia Zoo, but seeing the animals at Animal Kingdom is so much better!!!!
