Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

Thats the best description I've heard so far!:thumbsup2 Listen to Jen! I went pro too, and it's not ex*****ve. I think $24 a year.

I was just about to suggest the same thing! I thought it would be super expensive to go PRO, but when I realized it was only 24$ a year I did it right away. :thumbsup2

On another note, since when is expensive a word that needs censoring? :lmao:

Ok, my guess is she mixed the s and i up in placement and it deleted that word portion. LOL

Sometimes photobucket stinks. I keep having problems with uploads from my phone to photobucket. I even downloaded a special photobucket app for my droid and they still won't upload :headache:. Anyway I wanted to say that I love the little dresses that you are making!! You may have posted it, and I didn't see it, but what sized do the dresses come in? I would love to get one for my little great niece.
I swear I don't know how you find time to go pee.......hehehe...........with all you do!!

I guess I'm going to have to break down and go pro.

The dresses I make go from size 3 to size 12 (I think that's the largest size). Do you have any idea what colors you'd like or maybe a character?

BAHAHAHAHA!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: expensive is an obsene word in my book!

Now I have the giggles!:lmao:

Expensive is an "ugly word" at my house too!

I am dying at my computer right now that the censor starred that out! One little typo and you get censored. :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Oh my word! I stay away from my trip report for a day or so and there's all sorts of dirty words flying around. :lmao:

Bandwith is more about how many people view your pictures. So you can have a lot in an account, but if they aren't looked at often, then you wil lbe fine, but you could have 10 in an account, but if they are opened several times a day by several p[eople then it uses your bandwidth up....At least thats how it was explained to me.

Lisa...take the plunge...go pro! :thumbsup2 Trust me, you'll like it. Just do one of the trials. I renew every year doing that.

I guess I should.

Lisa, I can't see the pictures either. I'll try to come back tonight to see them.

You are about to leave for Walt Disney World!

Hey there Lisa! Tried to catch up, but the updates aren't as much fun without the pictures....so I'll wait until they come back. Hope you are having a good Monday...if there is such a thing! ;)

Thanks Missy! I hope the car shopping is going well. I have been thinking about ya'll a lot lately.

Out of curiosity - how many Photobucket accounts do you have? About how many pictures do you normally fit into a single account? Or do you delete old pictures from your account to make room for new ones?

I have five or six (maybe more). I don't have a clue how many pictures I have uploaded to the accounts but it's several thousand.

You should see where the Philadelphia Zoo is located! :scared1: It's a really nice Zoo, though (America's First Zoo!) The worst is the parking and then you have to walk down a busy street to get to the entrance.

I will come back to read the rest of your updates when your pics come back.

I wonder why the zoos are in bad spots? When John and I were dating and then after we got married, we'd go to the zoo 'cause it was cheap entertainment. Even when Lacey was young, we'd go a good bit. Now, though, it's pretty run down and they don't seem to want to do anything to improve it.

I guess I'm going to have to break down and go pro.

I have a Pro account, and I still have all those issues :headache:. I think I am going to have to wait a while on the dress.......she is only 5 months old :rotfl:. I guess she would need a handkerchief dress instead of a pillowcase dress :lmao:.

Lisa, came back to see the pictures, but I still can't see them.

At this time on Thursday (less than 48 hours), I'll be on a plane to see the Mouse! :goodvibes

I guess I'm going to have to break down and go pro.

I wish there was an easy way for all of your readers to donate $1 for your upgrade to pro. You would have enough money to keep the account going for many many years! (And maybe some left over for a Mickey Bar)

I just realized that I had uploaded some of the Animal Kingdom day pictures to another Photobucket account before and I'm about to repost the ones that ya'll can't see. Then, I'll move on to the Ohana pics!

Before I do a "redo" of the previous post, I wanted to post a few pictures of our walk from the bus stop over to our Jamaica building. They aren't really anything to look at per se but they do show that the walks aren't that long across the parking lot and to the buildings:

SANY6340.jpg

And then down the paths to the room:

SANY6341.jpg

SANY6342.jpg

SANY6343.jpg

Okay, back to our redo:

We realized that we had enough time before we had to get ready for our dinner at Ohana. Hunter had been itching to use the free arcade points and I told him that we'd go over to Old Port Royale and let him play a while and let the rest of our group recoup. I am sure that both John and Lacey made phone calls while we were gone. Mama hadn't gone with us to the Animal Kingdom so we stopped by her room and let her know that we were back.

Some pictures while walking from our building in Jamaica to Old Port Royale:

The arcade:

If it were up to Hunter, he would have stayed in the arcade for hours upon hours. But, we had a dinner ADR to make. We walked into the food court area:

SANY6363.jpg

And into the grab n go station to see what sort of baked goodies they had.

SANY6365.jpg

Hunter decided he needed something sweet and I used a snack credit to get his chocolate cupcake with white icing. He was already biting into it by the time we got out of the building:

Walking back to our room. One of the things that keeps us going back to the Caribbean Beach Resort is the laid back peaceful style.

SANY6371.jpg

When we got back, the others had started getting ready so we got our behinds in gear too and before long were ready to go as well.

**Continued in next post

We finished getting ready and headed out to the bus stop. The plan was to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take the monorail to the Polynesian but the plan changed as soon as we got to the park. We were now nearing the end of our vacation and it was getting tough for Mama to walk a long way. We decided to forego the monorail (and the long ramp up to the loading area) and took the boat over to the Polynesian instead.

I know that I took more pictures but the following are all that I had uploaded to the other Photobucket account:

SANY6375.jpg

Now I know that one of the reasons that everybody raves about the Polynesian is the convenience of having the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot but, I have to say that it took us as long (actually a little longer) to wait on the boat and take the boat over to the Polynesian as it did for us to wait on the bus and make it to the park from the Caribbean Beach Resort. Having said that, the grounds of the Polynesian are gorgeous! I loved the beautiful landscaping. I loved how you could see the castle. I loved the vibe of the resort. Now, if my pocketbook could only love it as much as I did.

We had been to the Polynesian two times before when we went to the luau. We had been in a hurry then though and I hadn't had time to see where you check in for Ohana. We walked around a little and found the podium. While I waited to check us in, I saw the castmembers turning walk-ups away left and right. I checked us in, got our buzzer and we went off to see if we could find a place to sit. We found a couple of chairs near the bar area and we squeezed in amongst everybody else who seemed to be waiting for their buzzers to go off.

After about 30 minutes, we felt the vibration of the buzzer and saw the lights blinking. We were shown to our table and I was excited to see that we were seated at a table that looked at the castle! :yay: Before long, our server came and took our drink order and then our food started arriving.

I guess this is the only picture I have of the various meats:

**Okay, so Photobucket is acting all wonky. I better go ahead and post this before it magically disappears.

The Polynesian is gorgeous! If I ever stayed at a monorail resort that would be the only one I would consider. The other two are nice, but don't really feel like Disney to me, and are a little too stuffy for me.

yum pot stickers. ;) could go for some right now.

Me too!

That's what I said. The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful!

Oops, double post!

I've had double posts quite often lately. I think it's because the Dis is so slow.

YUM! Love the food porn from Ohanas! We will be eating there for the first time in just 42 DAYS!!! :cool1: My cousin and her kids live in Celebration and will be joining us for dinner that night...enjoying "ohana" with my own "family"! :thumbsup2

During our meal, the Disney version of Don Ho would play his ukulele and sing songs. At one point, he asked for people to come up and learn a dance. There were lots of kids but there were quite a few adults as well. Hunter went up to get his groove on but apparently I just took pictures while he was standing still.

After the main meal, the server brought out the bread pudding:

SANY6397.jpg

I'm not a big fan of bread pudding but I tried it anyway and it was pretty good.

SANY6398.jpg

The small pitcher in the above picture had a warm sauce that you could pour over the bread pudding.

Soon, the lights in the restaurant dimmed and music started playing. Wishes! was about to start and we had a A-1 prime seat for the show! :woohoo: I tried to take pictures in the beginning but they didn't turn out at all so I just sat back and watched. What a delight it was to watch the fireworks while sitting in the comfort of Ohana.

Once Wishes was over, the lights came back up and we asked our waiter for our ticket and he brought it back quickly. This was our first time eating at Ohana and we were all very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. So much so that I booked us an ADR there for our May trip.

We knew that both the monorail and the boats would be overwhelmed with other guests trying to leave the Magic Kingdom so we lingered in the shops at the Polynesian for quite a while. I guess I only took one picture in the shop:

SANY6400.jpg

After a while, we made our way down to the boat dock and waited for a boat to arrive. In the meantime, the kids had found a pretty yellow flower and, in typical McBride fashion, made up a game. The game was "Let's see who can sniff this flower hard and make it stay on their nose longer". :sad2:

First up was Lacey:

SANY6401.jpg

Then it was Hunter's turn.....getting ready for the big sniff:

SANY6403.jpg

Hold it! Hold it!

SANY6404.jpg

The winner of the "Let's see who can sniff this flower hard and make it stay on their nose longer" was declared and the winner was:

Oh I am such a proud Mama! :rotfl2:

John and Mama waiting for the boat to arrive:

SANY6405.jpg

If I am remembering it correctly, we waited about 20 minutes for a boat and then we had to wait for all the folks to disembark. Lacey and Hunter on the boat back to the Magic Kingdom:

SANY6406.jpg

We started out our day at the Animal Kingdom where we went on a two week safari, chased poachers, had a run-in with a Yeti, were roared at by a Dinosaur and we ended the day with hula dancing and 3 foot long skewers of roasted meat! Where can you do all that in one day? Why...no where but at Walt Disney World!

I wish our zoo was decent. You have to go through a pretty run down part of town to get to it....I mean l"ock-your-doors and don't-make-eye contact" run down.

Our zoo is in a location just like that! We lost our elephants so that is sad but the Jackson Zoo actually has some really nice areas....inside the zoo. Keith's company used to do a spring picnic at the Monroe zoo's pavilion. We would have fun for what is was worth but the boat ride had so much sludgy stuff that the boats couldn't go everwhere. We always enjoyed that. Now the wagon ride was another story. That was a waste!! I told Keith it was like Kilmanjaro Safari in a covered wagon with zero animals. We saw NONE!!! :lmao:

I am so far behind that I missed the pictures from John driving whatever car people commented on forward. I have to say though that your CBR pictures seriously makes me want to stay there one day. And Ohana is on my list for the next trip. Everyone seems to rave about it! I want to give it a whirl. We love the breakfast there.

I haven't been to the Jackson Zoo in probably 20 years. Goodness that makes me sound old! :rotfl:

The Monroe Zoo used to be a nice place to go and spend a day on the weekend but I hate driving through the bad part of town to get there.

I wish you could talk Keith into staying at the CBR. If he likes the relaxing feel of the Port Orleans resorts, I think he'd like the CBR. John could stay in the hammocks for hours on end and actually fell asleep in one.
