We're at the Renaissance Chancery through DCL. three nights pre-cruise and two-nights post-cruise. I'm anxious for airfare to be released / bookable so we can decide if we're going to try to do air on our own or just stick with DCL. Anyone know if airfare drops considerably, will DCL's prices also drop some?

It was a really tough choice...we were seriously considering chancery court, because disney is using them. In the end though, I asked Jack which one. he chose the county hall, because it is right on the river! I also asked a friend who lives in London what he thought between the two. He said you couldn't go wrong with either!!!

Have to start really planning now!
but.....
We are having an electrical meltdown here.....
We were gone 4 days to Utah for a cousins retirement.
Before we left the computer monitor died and so did my external hard drive back up. Replaced them. Also now there is ice on the back wall of the freezer. (they come sat to look at that...don't know if I want to spend the money on repair or a new one)
But the big one is now the AC doesn't work. It clicks on but nothing comes out. So today I have to call someone..and this week is going to be well over 100 here.
also the TV in the bedroom goes black after 5 mins and takes another 30 to come back on.....I just don't get all these problems at once.

But I will start my planning!!!! At least I will be able to see on the monitor!

Well...it is getting more official for us!!! Just booked 4 of our 5 nights at the London Marriott County Hall. We are using rewards so the 5th night is free!!! Have to wait 10 more days for it to be released, but we as good as have it!!! Checking in June 30th!!! Checking out on the 5th for a night in Dover!! It was County Hall or the Renaissance Chancery...went with river view of Big Ben!!! Tried for Grosvenor House but couldn't get a room for 3.

Wait a minute my rewards rep said to call next week on July 21st to get my stay book. THANK GOODNESS is posted this because now I'm on hold trying to book my days. It looks like we'll staying Renanissance Chancery Court since it accomandates 4 in a room.

I can't believe the rep was wrong... I new I should not have believed her. UGH....

UPDATE: I'm so GLAD I saw this post! I will be forever thanking you. Anyways... I called and they told me to book the room and then, book the other 2 nights I need when they become available. Then, they can link them all into one reservation later. I'm a Marriott Vacation Club owner so, I'm ordering an award ticket that includes airmiles and 5 night stay. So, we will be there from July 1st through July 6th. I can't believe this is getting more real every day! Less than a year away!

For all of you looking for a way from the London area to Dover this might be some help - http://www.silverlinetravel.co.uk/index.htm

They are charging us 175 pounds to pick us up at the airport, take us to London, and then come get us and take to Dover and then after the cruise back to the airport. There are 5 of us so we are getting a mini van.

I just e-mailed them to get a quote. I'll keep you all posted. Tina

We have AC again! Got the unit fixed for $450 instead of a new unit for 8-10K..don't want to use my Baltic money!!!
Ok now I can think and start planning...calls to make, things to do...too bad work gets in the way of doing them....

I made a reservation at Disneyland Paris at Marriott!!! Now to hope they open up the reservation for Marriott points and I can switch it over...
Also have a pending trade in Interval....cross my fingers!!! that I can get one of those..

I happened upon a "what's the temperature in ..." site today and checked temps for St. Petersburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, etc. Of course it was 11 p.m. their time when I was looking, but it was in the mid-60s. I need to remember to check earlier in the day this week since it's about the same time as we'll be there -- guess we'll still be on board this time next year!

Good idea... because if I remember right my aunt/uncle didn't get their match until 6 months out. So, it is probably best if you have some back up plans.

I just checked now and it is late evening around 4 pm to 6 pm and it shows all mid to low 70s and few high 60s. For the next day forecast nobody was over mid 70s. So, it will be pleasant but not hot. I'm okay with that. I'd rather tour when it is cool than super hot.

As I was checking out the averages for the weather, it shows sunrise and sunset times. WOW... hardly any dark at least compared to where I live. We have sunrise around 6 am and sunset around 8:30 pm. Oslo sunrise is 4:23 am and sunset at 10:19 pm. This will be totally neat for us. I can't wait!

Hi from WDW everyone! After enjoying 4days of the heat I'm ready to get on the magic tomorrow. We are back at the villa now packing and getting the luggage tagged. Hard to believe in just a little under a year we will be on the same ship just in a different location. We are doing a GG event tonight in Epcot with several of the families on our cruise. It should be intresting looking forward to not having to save a spot for illumnations.
